Chapter 439 My life… I will... Thatʼs my choice...

Liora Darkfangʼs POV

”Ha~ Ha~ Hmmm~ Ahhh~”

I moaned, my body trembling beneath Aether as he pounded into me, his shaft moving with relentless vigour.

Each thrust was harder than the last, no longer tempered by the gentle care he once showed me.

”~HHHaaaaa~~~”

Now, it was raw, intense, as if he were desperately trying to drown out something deep within him. His movements werenʼt just physical; they were the manifestation of emotions he couldnʼt put into words, all pouring out with every rough stroke.

His hands gripped my hips with such force it left marks on my skin, but I didnʼt mind... It was almost as if he was trying to anchor himself, to stop himself from being completely consumed by whatever turmoil was inside him.

”F-Faster… Aahhhh~”

The words escaped my lips, breathless and shaky.

It wasnʼt that I wanted him to be this rough, though a part of me enjoyed the balance he usually struck between dominance and tenderness.... Now, however, it felt different—primal.

Drip.... Drip....

Suddenly, hot droplets fall on my face....

I saw... His tears... He was crying...

ʼIʼm sorry....ʼ I whispered in my thoughts, knowing full well that he couldnʼt hear them.

I wasnʼt what he truly needed right now. He needed emotional comfort, a connection that went beyond the physical, but I... I couldnʼt give him that... I didnʼt know how.

So instead, I gave him what I could... my body!

His grief, his rage, his sorrow—they were all spilling out, and I let him use me as a vessel to bear the weight of those emotions.

I reached up, gently brushing the tears from his face.

”~Ahh~”

A soft smile tugged at my lips, though my heart ached. Aether, pounding into me so fiercely, suddenly flinched when he realized what I was doing. His eyes widened as he bit his lower lip, his expression torn.

”~~AAAAHHHHHH~~”

He pushed into me harder, faster, as though trying to outrun his pain.

I could feel it.... his anguish, his sense of loss... His sense of guilt using me!!

ʼEven now… even in his grief… heʼs worried about me,ʼ I thought with a small tinge of irony. Despite everything, he still cared about my well-being. What a peculiar, fascinating human he was. I couldnʼt help but chuckle softly at the thought as I leaned up, pressing my lips against his, pulling him closer.

His cock swelled inside me, throbbing with tension, and then, with a deep, guttural moan, he released everything into me, his hot seed spilling deep within, filling me completely.

”~~~AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH~”

The heat of it spread through me, reaching my womb, and for a brief moment, I revelled in the sensation.... But now wasnʼt the time to indulge in my own pleasure.

He was still hurting, and if I couldnʼt be what he needed emotionally, I would give him everything physically.

I pulled him closer, my hands trailing down his back before whispering breathlessly into his ear, ”I want your thick cock in my lonely asshole…”

The words left my mouth without hesitation, and while I wasnʼt flustered by them, I could feel the warmth in my cheeks betraying me. The redness was unmistakable, but I didnʼt care...

I wanted to distract him, to give him what little comfort I could.

But Aetherʼs response wasnʼt what I expected. He simply stared at me, blankly, as if my words hadnʼt registered.

”Aether?”

”I... Iʼm pathetic,” he muttered, his voice cracking. The usual strength in his tone was gone, replaced by something hollow and broken, ”Iʼve been using you… using the one I love to cope with my feelings.... I really am pathetic.” His eyes darkened, and a bitter smile crossed his lips. ”Maybe they were right... those two were right all along.”

My heart clenched at his words, ”A-Aether?”

He ignored my concern, continuing with a faraway expression, ”Liora... what is it about me that made you love me?” His voice was distant, trembling, as though he was terrified of the answer I might give.

For a moment, I just looked at him, wondering what I could say to ease his suffering. But the truth was.... I didnʼt know the answer.

I sighed softly, tightening my arms around him, and pulling him closer to me. His cock was still deep inside me, throbbing slightly, but the connection between us now felt more than just physical.

Our faces were inches apart, and he stared into my eyes, searching for something—reassurance, perhaps... An anchor?

”I donʼt know,” I said quietly, honestly.

His eyes widened, and for a second, I saw the flicker of something vulnerable in his expression.

But I wasnʼt done.

”I donʼt know, because I canʼt point to one thing that made me fall for you.

At first, yes, I only wanted your child. Nothing more!” I laughed softly, shaking my head at the memory, ”But the more I was around you… the more I saw you, heard you, felt you... something inside me changed. I started to feel happiness, something I didnʼt expect. I started to strange, I started to feel lonely without your letters.... I started to feel… love.

And Aether… even now, I feel myself falling deeper for you, every single day.”

I smiled.. those were my honest opinions, my heart was racing, waiting for his reaction.

Aether blinked, staring at me as if trying to find any hint of deception.

But there was none!!

”Believe me,” I added gently, ”I would give my life for you without a second thought.”

Drip.... Drip....

More tears rolled down his cheeks again, but this time, a soft smile tugged at his lips. ”What an idiotic wolfy Iʼve got… Haha...” He laughed weakly, his voice trembling but lighter than before.

A small smile crept onto my own face as I saw the fog lift from his eyes, the clarity slowly returning. His voice had shifted, clearing as his heavy emotions began to unravel.

”No matter how many times…” he started, his tone now tinged with curiosity, ”would you still give your life for me?”

His question was playful, but there was something more—an underlying seriousness that wasnʼt lost on me.

My lips twitched. ʼIs he doubting me?ʼ I narrowed my eyes and huffed, clearly annoyed. ”Aether! Donʼt you dare doubt me! Our tribe is known for our loyalty. Even if it were 100 times or a thousand times, I would give everything for you!” I declared fiercely.

”…I see…” Aether whispered, his fingers brushing my cheek with a tenderness that made my heart ache. His gaze locked onto mine, intense and unyielding, ”Then… Heh... I too... Iʼll believe it. Thatʼs my choice too… to give it all for you.... Everyone.

No matter how many times it takes, Iʼll do it. My life… I will... thatʼs my choice.”

He mumbled the last part with a strange expression.

ʼWhat is he talking about?ʼ I thought.

Aether lost in his thoughts, heard a faint whisper in his mind, ʼEmbrace it... huh?ʼ He blinked, turning his gaze towards me, his lips curling into a half-smile before he spoke, ”Iʼd like to tell you a small story…”

Seeing him finally opening up, my heart swelled. This was what I had been waiting for... his vulnerability, his truth.

Without a word, I pulled his head to my chest, gently placing it on my breasts. I stroked his hair, silently offering comfort.

”Go on,” I whispered softly. ”Tell me everything. Donʼt hold back.”

Aetherʼs lips twitched upward in a small smile, ”You see...” he began, his voice low and steady, ”I died once.... And then, I came back. From the future.”

”....”

”Liora?” he repeated, his frown deepening as he gently patted my cheek. His touch, usually warm and comforting, felt cold now, distant.... There was no response.

I didnʼt flinch!

I didnʼt breathe!

It wasnʼt just me.... everything around us had stopped. The curtains that had been swaying in the breeze, the gentle movement of the air... all frozen in place.

Aetherʼs heart raced, ʼWhatʼs happening?ʼ he thought, panic beginning to rise. He lifted himself up, his eyes darting around the room. The once cosy atmosphere now felt eerie, a suffocating silence enveloping everything.

And then, suddenly—
