[BL] After SSS-rank mage reborn as the Legendary Craftsman

Kang Ian saw very clearly. The air around him immediately grew heavy.

”Kai.” Kei tugged at his arm. ”Don’t look back anymore, let’s go.”

”I’m just saying goodbye.”

Kai said in a coaxing tone.

”Then why were you smiling like that?”

For some reason, Kei felt that Kai’s smile just now was very meaningful.

”Because I’m happy.”

”Happy about what?”

Kei asked curiously.

”Because you’re walking with me.” And not following that annoying two-legged guy.

Kei was stunned, then didn’t know what to say. He could only pull Kai along faster toward the store. It was already getting dark, just in time to go back and prepare a meal for the black dragon.

Kim Sora stood beside Moon So Yeon, still not over the shock from the battle just now. As soon as she saw Kei leaving, she immediately bowed to Moon So Yeon and Kang Ian in the distance.

”Noona, I’m heading back first!”

Before Moon So Yeon could reply, Sora had already run after those two, calling out as she ran.

”Kei, wait for me!”

Kai turned his head around.

”You’re coming back with us too?”

”Of course. I need to check if Kei is hurt anywhere, and besides, it’s already time to cook dinner.”

For an ordinary person like Kim Sora, three meals a day was the number one priority in life. Watching hunters fight or whatever was just for entertainment; she didn’t really belong to that world at all.

Kai, standing nearby, heard what Kim Sora said and was very displeased.

”Kei isn’t hurt. I protected him very well.”

He patted his chest proudly.

”Yes, I saw that.”

Sora glanced at the pile of rubble behind her, the corner of her mouth twitching. If it weren’t for the black dragon coming to stir up trouble, this wouldn’t have happened in the first place.

”Protected him so well you destroyed their headquarters entirely.”

Kai immediately turned his face away, refusing to hear more.

”That was an accident.”

”Why do I get the feeling that the black dragon causing incidents like this isn’t just once or twice?”

Kim Sora muttered.

Kai didn’t answer, secretly glancing to see if Kei showed any disgust toward the little dragon. Kei could only rub his forehead and continue pulling him along.

Behind them, Moon So Yeon slowly walked over to Kang Ian’s side. She originally intended to ask if the guild master was injured, but as soon as she saw his face, her steps immediately halted.

The invisible pressure around Kang Ian was rising little by little.

The small stones beneath his feet began to tremble. A remaining stone pillar nearby cracked into thin lines, then floated in midair. Kang Ian’s gaze remained fixed on Kai’s fading back, cold enough to be terrifying.

Moon So Yeon instinctively stepped back a few paces.

”Guild master...”

Kang Ian didn’t respond.

She stepped back another step, then couldn’t help but shout:

”Guild master! What are you going crazy about again? Are you trying to kill someone!?”

Her shout echoed through the ruins.

Kang Ian paused. The floating stones around him immediately fell to the ground with a clatter.

He slowly turned his head to look at Moon So Yeon, his expression still so calm it made people even more afraid.

”Actually...”

Kang Ian raised a hand to touch the corner of his mouth, his gaze still following the direction Kei had left.

”I just suddenly feel like eating grilled lizard.”

Moon So Yeon fell silent.

One second.

Two seconds.

Then, she pointed at Kai’s back, her face pale.

”You mean that lizard as big as an entire building over there?”

”Yeah.”

”And how exactly do you plan to grill it?”

Kang Ian thought for a moment.

”Use gravity to crush it down, then find fire to burn it for three days and three nights. That should cook it through.”

Moon So Yeon looked at him like she was looking at someone who had completely lost his mind.

”Guild master, that’s not a lizard. That’s the black dragon Kai, one of the five strongest SS-rank hunters in Korea!”

Kang Ian looked at Moon So Yeon like he was looking at an idiot.

”I know.”

”You know, and you still want to eat it?”

”A giant lizard with that much meat, that only makes it taste better.”

Moon So Yeon clutched her head.

”He’s beyond saving...”

Kang Ian ignored her lament. He looked toward the road Kei had left on, where the small figure of the boy had already disappeared behind the buildings.

After a moment, he asked quietly:

”Moon So Yeon.”

”Yes?”

”He really will come back, won’t he? I hope he’ll soon bring sleep back to me.”Moon So Yeon was stunned.

After all the irritable expressions, the threats, and the intention to roast a dragon, what Kang Ian truly cared about was still just his promise to Kei.

She sighed, trying to answer in the firmest voice she could manage.

”If Kei said he would come back, then he will definitely come back. For now, just calm down and wait.”

Kang Ian said nothing more. But the heavy pressure around him finally dissipated.

”Fine then.”

He turned around, looking at the Crying Ghost Guild headquarters that had been reduced to ruins.

”Before he comes back, this place needs to be rebuilt. It looks terrible.”

Moon So Yeon looked at the crumbling walls, then looked at Kang Ian wearily.

”Yes. And the guild master will personally explain this to the city administration. I really don’t want to face their scowling faces.”

Kang Ian immediately frowned.

”I’m the guild master, so...”

Moon So Yeon cut off what Kang Ian was about to say.

”Precisely because you’re the guild master, you have to go.”

”Not going.”

”Do you want me to report that the Crying Ghost Guild master destroyed his own headquarters just because he wanted to eat a dragon?”

Kang Ian fell silent.

Moon So Yeon smiled coldly.

”Or have you forgotten that half of this rubble was caused by your own superpower, and that a battle that could have ended quickly was dragged out because you were provoking the Black Dragon Kai?”

Kang Ian looked at the ruins, then looked in the direction Kei had gone.

Finally, he sighed.

”Fine. But first, we need to find a chef who’s good at cooking reptiles...”

”Guild master!”

Moon So Yeon’s shout echoed across the ruins once again.
