[BL] After SSS-rank mage reborn as the Legendary Craftsman

Kei never expected that the first hunter battle he would witness would happen because of him.

Before he could even explain to Moon So Yeon that there was no conflict between him and Kai yet, the two in front of him had already lunged at each other simultaneously and begun fighting.

”Wait!”

Kei could only shout out once.

Moon So Yeon raised her hand forward. The air around her immediately converged around her body, swirling into fierce vortexes. Her silver hair flew wildly in the strong wind, her blue eyes reflecting a cold light.

Whoosh!

Sharp wind blades formed from the air shot straight toward Kai.

Their speed was so fast that ordinary people couldn’t see them at all. The hunters standing in front of the store could only feel a strong gust of wind sweep past, then hear successive impacts.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

The wind blades slashed across Kai’s body.

But they left no wounds whatsoever.

Even Kai’s clothes weren’t damaged. He just stood still in place, his black hair tossed by the wind, his vertical golden pupils calmly watching Moon So Yeon as if the attack just now was nothing more than a gentle breeze.

Moon So Yeon’s face instantly turned pale, her fingers trembling slightly.

She quickly pulled Kei back, trying to get him out of the space between the two of them.

”Don’t stand here! If the shockwaves sweep toward you, you’ll get hurt!”

Kei was pulled back a few steps by her, only now snapping back to his senses. He looked at Kai, then at Moon So Yeon, unsure who to stop first.

Moon So Yeon clenched her hand. Her eyes were still fixed on Kai, but the initial anger was gone, replaced only by helplessness and sorrow.

”Why...”

Her voice trembled slightly.

”Why are we both SS-rank hunters... yet the gap is this huge...”

Moon So Yeon knew very well that Black Dragon Kai was one of the five strongest hunters of humanity. Many hunters managed to reach the rank of SS-rank hunter, and Moon So Yeon was one of them, but the world only recognized the five most powerful hunters.

Black Dragon Kai of Guild Black Dragon, Abyss Kang Ian of Guild Crying Ghost, Lycan King Hwang Do Hyun of Guild Zootopia, the Grim Reaper Daniel of Guild Dream Garden, and the Angel Kang Mi So of Guild Angel’s Kiss.

Even if they were truly strong...

Weren’t they also just SS-rank hunters like her?

Then why, every time she stood before Kai, or before Kang Ian, could she only see her own mediocrity?

She had once thought that after becoming an SS-rank hunter, she had stepped to a peak that most of humanity could never reach. She had been admired by countless people, and had been called one of the strongest in the world.

But right now, the skill she was most proud of couldn’t even tear a corner of Kai’s clothes.

Moon So Yeon watched the wind blades dissolve into the air. The gap wasn’t just in strength. It was like facing a wall so tall that no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t see the top.

Kei saw her expression, and his heart grew heavy.

He didn’t understand why the two of them were fighting, but he didn’t want to see anyone get hurt.

Especially the person standing in front of him, the one with eyes exactly like the little dragon in his memories.

Kai still said nothing. He just looked at Kei behind Moon So Yeon, his vertical golden eyes gradually becoming confused. He didn’t understand why Kei was hiding behind someone else.

Nor did he understand why Moon So Yeon wanted to stop him from getting close to Kei, and wanted to take away his precious person.

It was just that in Kai’s chest, an unpleasant feeling was constantly rising. He wanted to kill Moon So Yeon. The human who dared to covet his treasure had to die!

Moon So Yeon raised her head.

The helplessness in her blue eyes was gradually replaced by fury.

She didn’t want to lose to the non-human in front of her. Even less did she want others to see her being so easily defeated.A blue light flared up in Moon So Yeon’s eyes.

”This time...”

She lowered her center of gravity, and the wind around her immediately turned violent.

”This time I won’t let you look down on me! Black Dragon Kai!”

Air currents swirled around her body, dragging up dust and debris from the road surface. The air let out a piercing shriek, creating a pressure that forced the nearby hunters to keep backing away.

A massive blue vortex began to form in the middle of the street.

That was Moon So Yeon’s strongest skill.

”Hell Vortex!”

Right after the shout, Moon So Yeon’s body was completely engulfed inside the vortex. The giant blue whirlwind roared, spinning at a terrifying speed, then charged straight toward Kai.

The road beneath her feet cracked into long fissures. The glass windows of the surrounding shops rattled violently. The hunters watching the battle fled in panic, no one daring to stay anywhere near where two SS-rank hunters were clashing.

Kei watched the vortex charging toward Kai, and his face instantly turned pale.

He didn’t know how powerful that skill was. But he could feel the danger lurking within it.

Kai remained still.

He didn’t dodge, nor did he prepare to counterattack. His vertical golden eyes simply watched the vortex approaching, then shifted his gaze toward Kei.

At that very moment, Kei screamed out instinctively:

”Don’t...”

The sound escaped his throat before he even had time to think.

Kei didn’t know whether he was worried about Moon So Yeon, who had just stepped up to protect him, or whether he was worried that the person with eyes identical to the little dragon in his memories would get hurt. He only knew he didn’t want to see that scene repeat itself.

Didn’t want to see a pair of golden eyes close right before him, didn’t want to hear, one more time, a final breath echo within his chest.

”Don’t!”

This time Kei shouted louder.

The blue vortex had already reached Kai.

And in the howling wind, Kai’s gaze changed for the first time, the cruelty and cold-bloodedness of a reptile consuming his golden eyes entirely.
