Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2355: Chapter 2364: A Gun Pressed Against Her Head

She added something to the coffee, but he wouldn’t drink it. What could she do to make him drink it?

If he didn’t drink it soon, the coffee would get cold...

While Miranda Lewis was anxiously trying to think of a solution, she heard the man’s voice slightly deep over the phone on the balcony, ”What did you say? Say it again.”

Whatever was said on the other end made his entire demeanor turn cold. Suddenly, he turned his head to glance in her direction. That look was as cold as ice, making Miranda tremble all over and her teeth involuntarily chatter.

Why did he look at her with that kind of expression?

Could it be, did he know she drugged the coffee?

Impossible, she had just gone into the kitchen alone, no one saw her go in.

Miranda’s heartbeat was racing. Although she thought it was impossible for Baron Lawrence to have seen her drug the coffee, there was an unsettling feeling she couldn’t shake off.

She vaguely felt like something bad was about to happen.

Just as her heartbeat was thumping wildly, the handsome man said in a deep voice, ”I know. I’ll be right back.”

While putting away the phone, he walked towards her...

Miranda had always longed for him to look at her more, but at this moment, being locked onto by those cold hawk-like eyes made her feel like escaping.

Her heart was about to leap out of her chest.

What’s going on? What on earth happened?

Baron Lawrence walked step by step up to her, stood in front of her, and suddenly took out a black gun, pressing it against her forehead!

Miranda’s forehead suddenly touched something cold and hard. Her first reaction was her legs giving way, and she couldn’t even maintain the pretense of calm, ”Bar-Baron?”

A gun!

It’s a gun!

A real gun!

The cold sensation was definitely not from a toy gun!

A real handgun was directly against her head!

Miranda’s face turned completely pale with fright, her lips bumped against each other, stuttering, ”W-What did I do wrong?”

She was so scared her limbs were trembling, leaving no trace of Enna Clark’s demeanor.

Baron Lawrence squinted his eyes, almost wishing to shoot the woman in front of him, ”You don’t know what you did?”

”I... I don’t know.”

Could he really have known she drugged the coffee?

Miranda was in utter panic, her eyes darting around, trying to force a smile, but due to fear, the smile looked worse than crying.

”President Lawrence, what exactly did I do wrong?”

”You called the journalist?” Baron Lawrence stated it directly.

Miranda’s heart skipped a beat, instantly realizing what he was talking about. Her mind raced as she quickly weighed whether or not to confess, then made a rapid judgment, awkwardly saying, ”I... I just wanted to gain some attention. I want to return. So I asked a journalist... to take a picture and post it online. President Lawrence, I really love acting. I want to develop in the entertainment industry. I don’t want to give up my career.”

Before Miranda could finish her words, a gunshot rang out with a bang.

The bullet grazed her earlobe and shot into the wall beside her.

It also went through a vase.

The vase made a shattering sound.

With a bang, it fell to the ground, shattering into pieces! The glass fragments bounced up and two shards flew onto Miranda’s hand, cutting a bloodstain on the back of her hand.

The sudden change happened too fast.

Miranda’s ears were numbed by the sound, and as her earlobe began to throb with pain, she snapped back to reality.

With a sharp scream, ”Ah—”
