Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2217: Chapter 2226: He Bought the Hotel

After they got into the car.

The driver closed the car door for them and went to the front to get in.

The car started to move smoothly.

After 3 minutes, the car stopped at the hotel entrance.

Baron Lawrence got out first and then carried her along with the wheelchair down personally, as before.

”Let’s go.”

”Okay.”

Enna Clark thought he was going to take her back to the hospital, but she didn’t expect him to bring her to the hotel. She was a bit surprised as he pushed her into the hotel.

”Good evening, Mrs. Lawrence, President Lawrence.”

”Good evening, Mrs. Lawrence, President Lawrence.”

”Mrs. Lawrence...”

Along the way, they encountered a hotel servant who immediately greeted them.

The attitude was much more respectful than before.

Enna Clark noticed that the hotel’s security seemed stricter than before.

Previously, besides them, there were other guests staying. But this time, apart from the hotel staff, she didn’t see any strangers. The large hotel seemed to have been booked entirely.

Enna Clark looked around all the way, not bumping into a single guest. She couldn’t help but ask curiously, ”Baron Lawrence, did you book the entire hotel?”

With the way he operates, it’s very possible he did.

Baron Lawrence pushed her into the elevator, pressed the floor button, and said casually, ”I bought it.”

”...”

Forgive her for being a small-time citizen for too long; she’s not yet adapted to the aristocratic lifestyle.

”Anyway, it can be considered an investment. The main thing is I’m not comfortable with their security. You still need to stay here for a few more days, and with their kind of security, who can guarantee there won’t be loopholes leading to another elevator accident? So, I had to replace everyone here with my people!” He did something rare by providing her with an explanation.

”Okay.” Enna Clark didn’t say much this time.

Baron Lawrence was right, buying this place could indeed be considered an investment.

So it’s not necessarily a waste.

She didn’t want the same accident to happen again.

The incident of him letting go of her hand in pitch darkness, she never wanted to experience again!

Baron Lawrence was prepared to hear her lecture, but he didn’t expect the usually talkative woman who would feel heartache at such moments to be unusually quiet this time, simply responding with a ”okay” and not commenting on his hotel purchase. He couldn’t help but look at Enna Clark a few more times, seeing her serene face. He assumed she was left with psychological shadows due to the elevator accident and was fearful, hence she didn’t complain about him buying the hotel.

A trace of ruthlessness passed through his eyes, further igniting his desire to find the person behind and teach them a lesson.

He tightened his grip on the wheelchair handles, pressing his thin lips into a straight line, suddenly breaking the silence, he called out, ”Enna Clark.”

”Hm?” Enna Clark, unaware of his misunderstanding, responded cluelessly, turned her head to look at him, waiting for his next words.

”The elevator incident won’t happen again. I’m sorry, I didn’t protect you well enough.”

”...”

Baron Lawrence was apologizing to her?

Enna Clark was stunned for two seconds before she came back to her senses, seeing the emotions surging in his eyes, she softly said, ”It’s not your fault, you’ve protected me very well. This time was an accident, you don’t need to blame yourself. I didn’t even notice anything wrong with that elevator, don’t worry, I’ll pay more attention in the future. Baron Lawrence, you don’t need to think about it anymore, don’t worry, such things won’t happen again.”
