Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2202: Chapter 2211: There’s News

The arrogant man came out of the bathroom wringing a wet towel, beginning a night of physical cooling.

The next morning.

When Adam Sinclair and Olivia Lewis came to visit Enna Clark, Enna had been feverish all night, which had just subsided. Baron Lawrence removed the wet towel on her forehead, which had been changed countless times, and threw it into the trash can. He bent down to feel her forehead, his pallid complexion finally easing a bit.

Adam placed the fruit basket on the coffee table next to the sofa, looking at his weary face said, ”I just asked the nurse, she said Enna had a fever last night. Did you stay up all night taking care of Enna without sleeping?”

”Yes.”

Adam was surprised he really hadn’t slept and helplessly said, ”I know you’re worried about Enna, but you haven’t rested much day and night, I’m afraid Enna hasn’t woken up before you fall down first. Didn’t the doctor help Enna with an IV drip? You didn’t need to spend the whole night changing wet towels for her to cool down...”

”She’s uncomfortable.”

Simple and blunt three words, yet full of care.

Adam was rendered speechless, waving his hand after a while, and said gloomily, ”Forget it, I’m not saying anymore. I feel like if I continue, it’ll seem like I don’t care about Enna, like I don’t see her as a friend. It’s not that I don’t care about Enna, I’m just afraid you’re too tired. Everyone needs to rest, you’re not made of steel.”

Baron Lawrence glanced at him, understanding his point.

At this moment.

Scott Harris rushed in, whispered something in Baron Lawrence’s ear.

The man, who hadn’t rested all night, showed a flash of cold rigidity on his face, turned to Olivia Lewis by the bedside and said, ”Look after her for me!”

Turning back, he commanded Scott Harris, ”Prepare the car! I want to go myself!”

Scott Harris bowed his head, respectfully, ”Yes, Lord.”

Although Adam did not hear what Scott Harris said to him, he vaguely felt something had happened, and it was likely related to the elevator accident involving Enna, he immediately said, ”Baron, what’s happening? I’ll go with you!”

Baron Lawrence’s sharp features tightened, eyes filled with murderous intent, coldly said, ”No need, you and Olivia Lewis stay here, look after Enna Clark for me, wait for my return!”

”But...”

”You know what I care about most.”

”...” What Baron cares about most is nothing other than Enna.

He meant to entrust the most important treasure to him for temporary care.

Adam thought about the elevator incident, gradually calming down.

Indeed, with only Olivia Lewis here guarding Enna, he wouldn’t be at ease.

If Enna encountered any danger, with Olivia Lewis’s personality, she would certainly try her best to protect Enna. If anything happened to Enna, Olivia would certainly risk herself, he would regret it for life!

Thinking this, Adam hesitated for a moment, but relented, ”Alright. I’ll stay at the hospital to take care of Enna. Baron, take care of yourself.”

He didn’t know exactly who was responsible for what happened to Enna, but it was clear these people were not a good sort. These people were too dangerous, he was uneasy about Baron Lawrence.

”Scott Harris will accompany me.” Having said that, he glanced back at the person on the hospital bed, turned around, and left like the wind.

Scott Harris also bent slightly to Adam, respectful, ”Young Master Sinclair, I’m leaving now.”

”Yes, go ahead. Be careful.”

”Young Master Sinclair, rest assured.” After a brief farewell, Scott Harris followed Baron Lawrence’s steps, disappearing together from the ward.
