Chapter 1052, Seems Safe Now

*Whoosh!*

Above a verdant forest, the urgent sound of wind-breaking suddenly rang out. A stream of light approached from afar, sweeping past everything at an extremely astonishing speed.

Under this speed, the forest below was forcibly pressed down, creating a conspicuous trail.

*Whoosh! Whoosh!* Just as this stream of light swept past, numerous wind-breaking sounds echoed from the distant rear. Then, over ten crimson streams of light appeared, madly pursuing the stream of light ahead.

This pursuit made this part of the forest particularly lively.

“Stop them!” The Blood Beastman Captain’s expression was savage as he watched the wildly fleeing stream of light in the distance, his eyes full of hatred. The low shout from his mouth carried thick killing intent.

Their mission this time was extremely important. If they failed to capture Avril this time, they would likely never have such a good opportunity again.

And now, that detestable person ahead had actually rescued Avril, and moreover, judging by his actions, he clearly intended to deliberately create more commotion.

Though this was only the outer periphery of the Elf Forest, which was still a great distance from the closest Elf settlement, if the disturbance here was discovered by some Elf expert, it would inevitably cause a tremendous uproar.

At that time, not only would they, this whole group, have to face the Elf Race’s fury, even their Blood Beastmen Race itself would have to face the Elf Race’s wrath!

Therefore, no matter what, they could not let them escape. They must swiftly capture them.

“Scatter in formation! Surround him!” As they closed in, the Blood Beastman Captain shouted sharply again.

The around ten Blood Beastmen behind him immediately dispersed in coordination, faintly forming an arc as they pursued the stream of light ahead.

[How troublesome!] The change in the rear formation also drew the attention of the stream of light ahead. Qin Yichen glanced backward, his brow furrowing slightly.

[At this rate, it will be impossible to shake them off.]

“Go below. Follow my directions. These disgusting creatures won’t be able to catch us.” Just as Qin Yichen was somewhat troubled, Avril in his arms seemed to perceive his thoughts and spoke up.

Hearing this, Qin Yichen’s spirits lifted sharply. How could he have been so foolish. In this Elf Forest, whose speed and skill in concealment could be better than an actual Elf?

Immediately, with a thought, Qin Yichen’s form suddenly descended, then plunged into a towering tree. After several flashes, his figure swiftly disappeared from the Blood Beastmen’s line of sight.

“Damn it!” Seeing this scene, the Blood Beastman Captain’s expression turned extremely ugly. Clearly, they had lost their target.

“Search! Turn every stone if you must. They must be hiding down there!”

The Blood Beastman Captain roared furiously. Those Blood Beastmen immediately responded, then dispersed their forces. Aside from four left in the air on the perimeter, kept on alert, the remaining all began carefully searching the dense forest below.

As they searched, ten kilometres away in the dense forest below, Qin Yichen, embracing Little Ling’er and Avril, continuously shuttled through the trees.

Finally, after fleeing nearly a hundred kilometres, he arrived at a large tree where they concealed themselves.

One branch of this large tree seemed to have been struck by lightning, leaving a sizable hollow within. It could accommodate two or three people, and above it, dense leaves greatly concealed this opening.

If not for Avril’s guidance, even Qin Yichen would have difficulty finding such an excellent hiding place.

[Hopefully we won’t be discovered.] Concealed within this towering tree, Qin Yichen completely withdrew his aura, his entire being like withered wood.

As a member of the Elf Race Royal Family, Avril was even more peculiar. She did not deliberately suppress her aura, yet Qin Yichen was astonished to discover that through his Spiritual Energy probe, he could not sense Avril’s existence at all. It was as if she had become part of this towering tree.

If not for his eyes still being able to see Avril, Qin Yichen would truly doubt whether she was actually here.

And Little Ling’er, after blinking her eyes at both of them, stuck out her tongue apologetically at Qin Yichen before burying herself in his embrace, also emitting not the slightest trace of her aura.

“Little Sister, Big Brother, thank you for saving me.” Avril said gratefully to Qin Yichen.

“First recover your injuries. We need to be careful. We can’t let them discover us again.” Qin Yichen handed over two Pills, saying casually.

Avril accepted the Pills without much thought and swallowed them. The instant she swallowed them, astonishment burst forth in her beautiful eyes.

She was of the Elf Race Royal Family and had seen quite a few recovery Pills from Foreign Races.

However, aside from the Elf Race’s unique Pills, foreign Pills had greatly reduced effects on the Elf Race.

But what astonished Avril was that the two Pills she had just swallowed had actually healed her up considerably in an instant!

This efficacy was comparable to the exceedingly precious Spirit Pills within the Elf Race!

[Why would his Pills have such an effect?] Avril was extremely puzzled, but at this moment, Qin Yichen had already closed his eyes, quietly concealing himself. She did not feel like it was appropriate to ask any further and immediately sat down to rest and recover.

Their concealment here was truly effective.

Perhaps because this towering tree’s hollow was extremely well hidden, combined with this boundless forest’s extreme complexity, even though those Blood Beastmen searched back and forth for a full three days, they still could not find their hiding place.

Such fruitless searching continued for a full four days, ultimately the Blood Beastman Captain had no choice but to call off the search.

After all, they could not continue such a large-scale search here indefinitely. If discovered by any other Elf, they would be like fish in a net.

Moreover, after so long, Qin Yichen and the others might have already escaped beyond their search range.

On the fourth day, quite a few Blood Beastmen had already begun withdrawing.

However, at this time Qin Yichen was especially cautious and did not emerge. Over the next two days, occasionally some unwilling Blood Beastmen would still come here to search.

This search party only completely disappeared on the seventh day. Qin Yichen could sense that within a hundred kilometre radius, the unique scent of the Blood Beastmen Race had finally vanished entirely.

*Rustle…*

Thus, amidst a cluster of dense bushes, three figures carefully emerged.

“Looks like we’re safe.”
