What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?

“Ufufufu~ Does my little one want more sweets?” Mother asked.

“Me waaaaant~” I pleaded, prompting Mother to place another candy in my mouth.

Mmmmm!! So sweet!! So good!!

I licked my lips, enjoying the sweetness that filled my mouth before looking to the side where Unerolia was seated in the carriage with us.

After I dealt with the slave shop and brought everyone back to Unerolia and Mother, they took charge of them and Mother said they would be interrogating them to get information from them.

I didn’t really ask what they found out but Mother did tell me that I would be able to watch everything unfold today since that lord is supposed to return today.

That’s why we were on our way to the castle now, aiming to catch him right as he returned.

I already know that whatever they found from the bandits and the slave shop owner was not good because Unerolia had a permanent scowl on her face since then. Additionally, she didn’t even try to seduce me or ask me to spar with her which I think is quite a big indication of how serious it was.

The biggest indication of how serious the situation was, was the fact that she was even wearing a proper dress with a skirt that reached her ankles.

I’ve mostly learned that for her case, the longer the skirt she was wearing, the more problematic things were.

At least this time I’m simply going as part of the audience so I get front row seats in seeing how this is going to turn out.

Incidentally, I did tell them about Bob and my intentions with him but Mother said that they will check him out before handing him over to me.

I’m not sure what they were going to check for but I decided to just leave it to them.

I suspect it might have something to do with the slave collar since Unerolia and Mother should have the authority to take them off I think.

“What’s going to happen, Mommy?” I asked, looking up at Mother.

She patted my head, “Ufufufu~ You shall see, my little one~ There is a reason why Unerolia has been assigned to the border after all~”

I turned to look at the Marchioness who was grumbling to herself opposite me on the carriage before looking back at Mother.

“You mean… It’s not just because she’s good with a sword?”

“Ufufufu~ There’s that too but there’s also another reason~” Mother giggled.

Umm… Ok? I guess I’ll just wait and see?

Our carriage came to a stop and I knew we had reached our destination so I hopped off Mother’s lap before straightening out my dress.

Right on time, the doors opened and Mother let Unerolia step out first before the two of us followed behind her.

When I stepped out, I was treated to the sight of a middle aged, balding and fat male Mahun stepping on the back of the head maid that greeted us when we first arrived here.

He even had a whip in his hand and he had a look of a deer caught in the headlights when he saw us disembark from the carriage.

Unerolia looked at the sight with an air of disdain, “Is this how you keep your staff in line, Ragnus?”

He recovered quickly but did not lift his foot up from the maid’s back, “How else do you keep disorderly staff like this in line? You need to assert your authority, right?”

“I do not need to use a whip to keep them in line.”

“That’s because you have much better staff than I do, Marchioness. Now, how can I help you today?”

“Is this the attitude you show to your superiors? Ragnus?”

He quickly stepped off the maid’s back before giving a bow, “Oh forgive me! I had been so preoccupied with my duties lately that I forgot my manners! Please allow me to welcome you, Marchioness Lehcarouc! You should have told me you were coming so that I can prepare a proper welcome!”

Unerolia stepped closer to him and placed her hands on her hips, “I don’t need that right now. I’m here for an inspection of this territory and I want some answers.”

He straightened himself, “Of course, of course! Please, right this way!”

He tried to usher her inside but Unerolia held up a hand, “Stay right there. I want to know what you have done to my room that is supposed to be reserved for my use in this castle.”

The Ragnus guy seemed a little confused by the question before a look of realisation dawned on his face.

I thought this would be the part where he starts making excuses or maybe even denying it but he just smiled at her like nothing was wrong.

“Oh yeah, I went ahead to make use of it, Lady Lehcarouc. Since you’re barely here anyway so I thought I might as well just put the place to good use instead of wasting that space.”

I think I heard Unerolia’s fist crack from her tightening it…

She lowered her chin slightly, “And what did you use it for?”

“Hmm? Oh, I’m using it as a store room since there’s a lot of space after all.”

Ok, now I can hear the crack coming from Unerolia’s fists…

“A storeroom? I see… What about your room? Why not use yours?” Unerolia asked, her voice still remaining calm despite her obvious anger.

The Ragnus guy chuckled, “Use my own room? Of course I wouldn’t do that? That’s my room isn’t it? It’s for my use!”

…

I don’t even have a reaction for what I just heard… And by the looks of Unerolia’s face, I don’t think she was prepared for it either.

To her credit, the Marchioness recovered quickly before asking, “Are you saying that your room takes precedence over mine?”

“Oh no, no. It’s just that you don’t use it that often right? Since you’re away in the city and all. So it’s kind of just wasted space anyway so why not just make use of it?”

“And in the event that I were to visit like right now? Where are you intending for me to stay the night?”

“Oh, don’t you know? There’s plenty of inns here. We can arrange to have you stay in one.”

“You do realise that this castle belongs to me… And that I’m merely putting you in charge of managing the land, correct?”

He tilted his head, “Yes?”

“So I have a better suggestion… Why not we have you go ahead and stay in an inn instead and I’ll take your room?”

“Huh? Why should I give up my room? The room is mine isn’t it? No one else should use it.”

Oh wow… I think if we were in private right now, Unerolia would totally cut his head off right now…

Actually… I’m wondering why Unerolia was even continuing her questioning out here… Just looking at our surroundings, the people around were looking quite uncomfortable and were trying to distance themselves from the scene.

As if reading my mind, Mother leaned over and whispered, “Ufufufu~ Little Une is trying to get him to give her as much rope as possible to hang him with~ Right now, the only justifiable punishment she could give him is to simply relieve him of his post and that is not something that any of us want to end on~”

Right… I guess for someone like Unerolia, she definitely wants some retribution to befall on him.

Unerolia seemed to have got what she wanted from asking about her room as she moved on from that.

“What about the guest rooms? There are at least several dozen of these rooms and I was informed that all of them were being used by you. What are you using them for?”

“Oh, I have guests right now. So of course they have to take up the guest rooms.”

“And you are saying that these guests of yours are more important than I am, to the point that I am not even allowed to stay in my own castle while they are here?”

He scratched his head, “I mean… They were already here first and it would be rude to kick them out of their rooms and make them stay elsewhere right?”

Ok… I’m seriously not sure if this guy is doing it on purpose or does he not see the hypocrisy of his own words.

Judging by his face, I actually think it’s the latter…

Unerolia stared at him for a good few seconds before gesturing at the castle’s entrance, “I would very much like to meet with one of those guests of yours who is staying in this castle of mine.”

It was clear that she added in the last part of that sentence on purpose but either this guy didn’t hear it or the underlying meaning went right over his head because he chuckled after hearing that.

“Oh, that would be a little rude to them, wouldn’t it? They are guests after all so we should let them know ahead of time before meeting them. How about over dinner?”

My gods… How did this guy even get this position?
