Reborn with a Space: Building a Fortune Amidst Famine

Chapter 1166: Chapter 1166: Make It Clear

Sun Yun smiled, ”I just don’t want to live with Zhao Qingxiang anymore. Director Feng, I’m thinking about that piece of land next to my parents’ place.”

Feng Baoshan hesitated to speak. Even though he was the director, he was still just a female comrade.

”Alright, I’ll hold it for you. But I think you should think it over carefully.”

Sun Yun nodded, ”I know, thank you, Director Feng.”

After leaving the station, Sun Yun went straight home. Tomorrow she would come here to work; she also needed to earn some money, and hiring people next year would require a lot of money.

Feng Baoshan felt something was off, so he thought about it and decided to drive to Zhao Qingxiang’s house in the afternoon.

Upon arrival, he called Zhao Qingxiang’s name at the door.

”Director Feng, why are you here? Come inside.”

Feng Baoshan shook his head, ”I won’t go in, I just came by to tell you something. Your wife just came to the station to see me, saying she wanted a piece of land next to her parents’ place.

What’s going on with you two? You already have three kids, what’s there to argue about? Besides, I know what kind of person Sun Yun is. Such a capable woman. Do you have someone else on your mind?”

Zhao Qingxiang was both angry and anxious, ”Director Feng, how could that be? It’s just that Xiao Yun is angry with me.”

”Qingxiang, couples argue occasionally, but I see Sun Yun’s attitude is very determined. Think it over yourself.

Alright, I’m leaving too; there’s a lot of work at the end of the year.”

Zhao Qingxiang saw Feng Baoshan out and quickly went back inside to put on a coat.

The three daughters watched him, looking a bit embarrassed.

”Dad, where are you going?”

”You three come with me to persuade your mother.

Director Feng just said that your mom went to the station this morning and asked for a piece of land herself.”

The three sisters also put on coats. This was not going to work.

The four of them drove to the Sun family.

The three children hadn’t been to the Sun family often, so they didn’t have much affection for them.

Sun Yun was still sitting on the kang, rubbing corn. She looked at the four father and sons who came in with an expressionless face, just staring at them without saying a word.

Zhao Xiaoling walked over, ”Mom.”

The other two sisters also came over.

Sun Yun nodded, ”Sit down yourselves.”

”Xiao Yun, what are you doing?”

”Zhao Qingxiang, I’ve already told you not to appear before me. I feel disgusted just looking at you.”

Zhao Xiaole could see the deep disgust on her mother’s face.

”Xiao Yun, I’ve already admitted my mistake, I won’t do it again.”

At this time, the Sun family people all came in. The three children immediately greeted them.

The Sun family had many sons, with Sun Yun being the only daughter.

”Xiao Yun, what are you thinking?” Sun Fu asked.

”Dad, I’ve already said it. I don’t want to live with Zhao Qingxiang anymore. Not for one more day.”

”Have you thought it through?” Sun Fu continued to ask.

Sun Yun nodded, ”Yes, I’ve thought it through.”

”Alright then, as long as you’ve thought it through. But what about these three kids?”

”If the Zhao family doesn’t want them, they will follow me. If the Zhao family wants them, they stay there. It’s better for them. But I’ll give them 200 catties of grain a year and twenty bucks each every year.”

”You’ve thought it all through?”

”Yes.”

Sun Fu then looked at Zhao Qingxiang. ”That’s it then, we’ll go back with you to pack Xiao Yun’s things.”

Only now did Zhao Qingxiang realize the gravity of the situation.

”Dad, please persuade Xiao Yun. We’ve been together for so many years and never quarreled before, what is it this time?

Xiao Yun doesn’t want me to go and help my brothers; I won’t go in the future.”

Zhao Xiaoling and her sisters quickly came over and took Sun Yun’s hand. ”Mom, don’t be angry. Grandpa, Grandma, you all persuade my mom.

My dad already knows he’s wrong. He said he won’t do it again.”

Zhao Qingxiang also immediately said, ”Yes, Xiao Yun, I won’t go help them again; I’ll do all the work at home.”

Everyone in the Sun family looked at Sun Yun.

”Zhao Qingxiang, I don’t believe a word you say. Go ahead and slave away for your brother.

It’s because I, Sun Yun, am useless I can’t have a son. Others look down on me, whatever, but I’ve been serving your parents every day, just because I don’t have a son, I go to your Second Brother’s house.

That’s fine by me; it’s the elder’s own choice.

But they keep calling you to do work for them daily, neglecting all the work at home for me while you go work for others.

Other people get tired and can rest, but not me. I still have to work; I have three daughters in school, costing money.

Your parents, back when Xiaoling and Xiaole took care of them, they said daughters were just as good, but now that the kids can’t work for them anymore, suddenly they’re nothing?

That’s also fine; daughters are mine. I take care of them; I never expected anything from them.

Now that’s it. I, Sun Yun, won’t be with you anymore; you do whatever you want.

I, Sun Yun, don’t want anything else. The money at home isn’t with me. I’ll go find it later, and everything will be split equally with me, Sun Yun.

But let’s be clear. The house in the city for the kids’ schooling has to be mine. I’m afraid your nephew will covet it someday, leaving my daughters with nothing. I’ll give it directly to my daughters. This way, even if they lose their mom, they’ll have security.”

After Sun Yun finished speaking, everyone in the Sun family stared at Zhao Qingxiang.

Zhao Qingxiang realized Sun Yun was serious this time.

”Xiao Yun, I promise it won’t happen again.”

”Zhao Qingxiang, are you even a man? You don’t keep your word; you told me the same thing last year. I don’t believe you at all.

And do you know why your brothers are so eager to see us fail? It’s because they covet Su Yuanyuan’s house. They didn’t expect us to get it.

I’ll just stand by and watch, watch when this house ends up in their hands.”

”Big brother, drive back with me. Second brother, you drive a car too. I’ll haul back the grain; I’ve worked no less than Zhao Qingxiang did, and I’ll sell the grain at home.”

Everyone now knew Sun Yun was serious.

”Xiao Yun, I assure you, it really won’t happen again.”

The Sun’s mother sighed, her daughter had been raised to be like this by herself.

”Xiao Yun, life after returning home will be difficult.”

”Mom, I can handle it myself; I don’t expect anyone.”

”Why be so stubborn? Silly girl, you can’t live like this.”

”Mom, I’ve been sincere to everyone in the Zhao family. I, Sun Yun, can say with my chest out that I haven’t wronged a single person in the Zhao family.

Even if I’m a bit tired, I accept it. But I’ve only realized after over a decade of marriage that Zhao Qingxiang never treated me as family or his wife.

Mom, I can’t live like this anymore. I, Sun Yun, have the hands and feet to support myself and the three daughters.”

Zhao Xiaole knew it would come to this, ”Mom, this way you’ll just fulfill their wish.”

”Whatever, I just want to live a little longer, I’ve had enough of being frustrated every day.”
