Reborn with a Space: Building a Fortune Amidst Famine

Chapter 964: Chapter 964: Yang Family

Riding the horse-drawn carriage is naturally much faster than walking. Yang Chunsheng had already divided the supplements into two portions on the carriage; one portion was directly handed over for Yang Hongwen to take home.

Cai Jianya, as soon as she got out of the carriage, ran directly into the yard, she missed her child so much. Entering the house, she saw her son was eating some snacks.

The little child had already forgotten about Mom. Seeing a stranger rush in, he was startled but quickly glared, ”Who are you? Why are you in my house?”

Cai Jianya’s tears flowed freely, ”Zong Wei, I am your mom. I am your mom.”

Hu Chunhua heard the commotion and also came out from inside the house.

”Xiao Ya, you guys are back?”

”Mom.”

Yang Chunsheng, carrying big bags of stuff, also came in. Seeing Mom and his son, he excitedly called out, ”Mom. Zong Wei, Dad and Mom are back to see you.”

Hu Chunhua was very excited. ”Alright, alright, come in quickly.”

She finished and heard the cracking of a whip outside, ”How did you get back?”

”Mom, we ran into Uncle the village chief in the county.”

Hu Chunhua nodded, holding Cai Jianya’s hand.

”Zong Wei, these are your dad and mom; haven’t you always been talking about them? Now they’re back. Why aren’t you greeting them?”

Cai Jianya squatted down and hugged her son’s small body, crying loudly. This is her son, yet he didn’t recognize her.

Yang Zongwei now also realized, looking at his mom who was crying while hugging him, ”Mom, don’t cry. Let me give you a snack.”

This made Cai Jianya cry even more. In her heart, she was determined, even if she had to quit her job, she would take her child back. This situation couldn’t go on.

Yang Chunsheng had put everything into the cupboard inside the house and now came out.

Hu Chunhua held her daughter-in-law’s hand, ”Come in, come in, stop crying. Don’t scare Zong Wei.”

Cai Jianya hugged her son and went directly into the house, onto the kang.

Yang Chunsheng was anxious on the side, knowing his wife was pregnant.

Hu Chunhua was happy to see her son and daughter-in-law return. She let the family of three bond inside the house, while she went out to cook. She had to make something delicious for her son and daughter-in-law.

The pork distributed in the village yesterday, she even secretly bought an extra ten pounds from others, she didn’t expect her son and daughter-in-law to come back today.

”Xiao Ya, you and your mother should stay in the room, I’ll go help Mom.”

”Mm, you go ahead. I really want to be with our son.”

Zhang Chunsheng understood; his wife didn’t want a second child because of their son, and it was only after much persuasion from his grandparents that they decided to have a second child.

He went out to assist Hu Chunhua, just burning the fire and passing things as needed.

”Mom, Xiao Ya is pregnant.”

Hu Chunhua’s smile grew bigger; in an old person’s eyes, more children meant more blessings. Back then, she herself had given birth to three, which seemed too few.

”Good, that’s great news.”

”Mom, now that my big brother has a job, will there be no more trouble?”

Hu Chunhua’s smile faded a bit, ”Still not satisfied; your big brother has been led astray by your sister-in-law. He thinks the job in the Capital is better.”

”Hmph, I even found Yuanyuan’s secretary, and I haven’t seen Yuanyuan in a year. Every time, it’s her secretary that comes to deliver things.

What more do they want? Just on the way back, Yang Hongwen also talked about finding Yuanyuan to arrange jobs for their three sons.”

Hu Chunhua said nothing, feeling uncomfortable inside. It’s all because of her; if she hadn’t arranged a job for Zhiqiang, such things might not have happened?

”Yuanyuan has been put in a tough spot.”

”Mom, don’t overthink it. By the way, the two of us can stay until the fifteenth, taking the sixteenth to head back.”

Hu Chunhua nodded with a smile, ”Alright. It’s good to stay a few more days at home. You can get closer with Zong Wei.”

”Mom, we’re taking Zong Wei back with us this time; Xiao Ya misses him too much.”

Hu Chunhua paused; she had raised this grandson. It really hurt to let go, but she understood her daughter-in-law. ”Xiao Ya is pregnant, and Zong Wei is still young; will it work? Why not wait until next year to take him back?”

”Xiao Ya’s grandfather is better, and Zong Wei has grown up, more sensible. With the two seniors, when Xiao Ya gives birth, if you don’t have time, let her grandma take care. We’ll just be a bit more tired then.”

”Alright then, take him back. The child is grown, if there’s no time, just send him to school.” Hu Chunhua had also stayed in the Capital for several months and knew that with working couples, when there was no one to look after the child, they were sent to nurseries.

”That’s what we were thinking too. By the way, where is my nephew?”

”He went home.” Hu Chunhua sighed after saying it. She had hoped the eldest grandson would turn good, but ever since Zong Wei was brought over, the child changed.

Yang Chunsheng, listening to his mom, felt bad. ”Mom, why don’t you and Dad come live with us?”

”How could that work? Just the two of your salaries can’t possibly support us. It’s alright; your dad and I can still work. Don’t worry about it.”

Yang Minggang was truly happy to see his son return. Everyone envied his son having a formal job in the Capital, and now the eldest son also had a job. However, as the family was not harmonious, there was no way to say it. Such disgraceful matters could not be shared with others.

At noon, the family happily had a meal. Yang Chunsheng had already cleaned up their room, filled with big vats, all of which were food supplies.

In the evening, Yang Zhiqiang came home from work and heard his brother had returned, so he brought his son over here.

He now also had a formal job. Although not as good as the Second’s job, in this small village, besides his brother, it was just him with a formal job.

Hu Chunhua saw her eldest son and grandson come over and had a faint expression. Her eldest son and grandson had truly hurt her heart.

Yang Chunsheng was very dissatisfied with his big brother. No matter what, you shouldn’t treat parents like this.

Yang Zhiqiang wasn’t happy seeing everyone treat him like this.

”What, looking down on me?”

Yang Chunsheng, originally suppressing his anger, sneered when he saw his brother enter without greeting Mom and Dad, ”Hmph, you think now you have a job, I’ll just go back and tell Yuanyuan and not bother with your unfilial deeds. Today I met the village chief, his three sons also want your job, just perfect.”

Yang Zhiqiang’s eyes reddened with anger, ”Why should you? Your words hold weight?”

”Yes, my words hold weight. I’ll just go back and tell Yuanyuan. I’ll tell her how you treat Mom and Dad.

Don’t you know how you got this job? Without Mom and Dad, would Yuanyuan care about you? She didn’t even bother with Su Liangliang’s affairs, what do you think you are?

Yuanyuan only acknowledges Mom, and you, an unfilial thing treating Mom like this, you think Yuanyuan would keep you employed? Dream on. Heh, if you don’t believe it, just wait and see.”
