Reborn with a Space: Building a Fortune Amidst Famine

Chapter 962: Chapter 962: Joy

The entire conference ended at around eleven, and in the afternoon there were other meetings.

These were meetings that Su Yuanyuan wouldn’t attend; only the professionals in charge would be there. She’s not interested in getting involved, and the most important matters have been settled, so she has time to do what she wants.

She made moves in many places, and within three to five years, they will surely suffer greatly because of it.

The dinner in the evening was still in buffet style, mainly featuring their local specialties, but most people weren’t impressed.

”Minister Su, we’ll be leaving after the banquet concludes tomorrow.”

Yuanyuan nodded, ”We’ll be leaving in the evening as well.”

”Minister Su, this cooperation has been truly successful. Thank you for keeping us in mind.”

”Relationships are mutual. With our good relations, we will certainly not let you down.”

That evening, Su Yuanyuan went out again. This time she entered the research institute here and made copies of all the data, planning to hand it over for further analysis when she returns. They really have too many covert activities here. Someday, they will face the consequences of their actions.

Su Yuanyuan already had some ideas. So she returned in high spirits.

Chengzi knows his sister-in-law best. Over the past few days, he could sense her joy, an air of excitement.

The next day was filled with various forums, essentially for exchanging information. There were indeed many areas that required a lot of attention. Su Yuanyuan made a point to look into countries with iron ore, and even conducted some preliminary work.

Preliminary agreements have already been reached, and details are being discussed — these will need further adjustments.

That night at the banquet, it still featured local specialties, which Su Yuanyuan really couldn’t get used to. So she simply drank milk.

”Minister Su, don’t you like our food here?”

The translator interpreted on the side. Su Yuanyuan looked at the person in charge expressionlessly, ”No, I’m not accustomed to this kind of food.”

”I apologize deeply. We didn’t take good care of Minister Su.”

As they were speaking, a gunshot suddenly rang out, quite a distance from Yuanyuan and her group. Chaos ensued. The person in charge disregarded everything and rushed over immediately.

Su Yuanyuan’s eyes had a hint of amusement; she had just managed to control the gun, hitting the man’s chest. She wouldn’t let him die from it.

The scene descended into chaos. Chengzi and his group surrounded Su Yuanyuan, with domestic officials also coming over.

Su Yuanyuan, once again, controlled someone else to fire at two other individuals.

The situation was too chaotic now, and the shooter’s aim was terrible. It was only under Su Yuanyuan’s direction that they fell directly.

This made things even more hectic. No one expected two infiltrators, and now everyone feared there might be a third.

Su Yuanyuan didn’t move, merely instructing everyone to stay behind her bodyguard, which moved them; they were supposed to be protecting the leader from the outside, but now Minister Su was shielding them from all danger.

The situation here was too unique. Nothing like this had happened before.

However, this really was a slap in the face. Last year they raised concerns over dangers occurring abroad, and now such chaos unfolded in their own country. Who would they blame this time?

Su Yuanyuan thought she should pretend to be scared, which would give her something to say. But she couldn’t bring herself to make such an expression.

The two shooters had already been caught and still shouted insults. Su Yuanyuan found it quite hard to suppress her laughter.

Five minutes later, the scene was under control. Three people were being treated, and arrangements were being made to organize their exit.

This time, Su Yuanyuan followed suit with the arrangements, leading the group away directly.

Back at the residence, everyone gathered in the small hall.

”Everyone should go and rest. I reckon it’s impossible for us to leave tomorrow. Use this opportunity to rest well for a few days. From now on, no one is to go out without reporting special circumstances immediately.”

Everyone nodded. It turned out Su Yuanyuan was right; those wanting to leave that night were stopped. They said we would only be allowed to leave once the investigation was complete.

This stirred quite an uproar; last year they hadn’t detained others in such a manner.

Despite pressure from Japan, they were adamant about not releasing anyone.

There was no visible response from Su Yuanyuan’s side, only discussions with everyone about the agreements reached.

They were still calm here, ”Minister Su, there are people coming from outside.”

Su Yuanyuan went out. The person who came was very respectful and apologized first.

They were told they could leave the next day. After all, the pressure on them was immense, and besides, the investigation revealed it was a domestic issue, unrelated to outsiders.

The security was extremely tight that night, but no one went out, so it was no big deal. At night, she drove her space to sneak out again, finding the three injured individuals in serious conditions. Now she was truly at ease.

After infiltrating their minds and gaining more information, she felt these three truly deserved their fate.

She instilled psychological suggestions in them, also seeking out dozens of people with some influence, and did the same, before leaving.

Early the next morning, all the officials were ready to leave from this side.

Once everyone was on the plane, and it took off, the people here finally relaxed.

Now it was time to face the dangers of flying, but it was better than waiting there, ensuring safety.

Su Yuanyuan was delighted, everything was set, just waiting for their return.

Finally, the plane landed smoothly, and everyone was relieved.

Today, Qin Zhiyuan personally came to meet them.

Seeing Su Yuanyuan in high spirits, Qin Zhiyuan smiled, knowing something good must have happened, otherwise Su Yuanyuan wouldn’t be so full of joy.

After returning, Su Yuanyuan didn’t need to report her work; within an hour, everyone knew what had happened there. While no one openly applauded, everyone was quite excited.

Zeng Zhenqing and Xu Guozhi had called to confirm. ”Xiao Su, let’s have dinner together tonight.”

So the four were once again dining in Xu Guozhi’s office.

”I’ve been worrying about you. Xiao Su, you didn’t do anything, did you?”

”They watched me like a thief, I couldn’t do anything. But I’m genuinely happy, seeing problematic people face trouble makes me glad.”

”What about those three people?” Zeng Zhenqing still concerned about security work.

”They probably won’t die.”

”I wonder if they will keep clamoring. I wonder if they’ll host another event next year.”

”I feel the people there have a hostility towards foreigners. Given this, they probably won’t host any easily. Public grievances matter. Otherwise, such incidents wouldn’t happen.”
