Reborn with a Space: Building a Fortune Amidst Famine

Chapter 558: 558 go out

But what he said is right; maybe it’s because I’m alone that I keep overthinking.

”I’m going out to play for a few days starting tomorrow, not sure when I’ll be back.”

”Yuanyuan, where are you going? It’s so cold now; isn’t it more comfortable to stay home?”

”It’s fine, I’m just going out for a bit, nothing will happen to me.”

Yang Chunsheng didn’t know what to say now; he was never good with words. He didn’t know how to persuade Yuanyuan not to go out.

Even after he left, he was still troubled.

The next day, Su Yuanyuan took her simple luggage and went to the train station.

She had no destination in mind, just bought a ticket for a long-distance trip.

Lying on the bed, listening to the other three people in the compartment chatting.

As they chatted, the topic turned to herself. Su Yuanyuan was quite curious about what kind of person she was in the eyes of others.

”I heard it. That brave woman didn’t die,” a little girl said excitedly.

”What else do you know?” a male colleague asked.

”I don’t know anything else, and there’s no news about her.

Our whole family prays for her every day, thanking her for saving several people in our family.”

”It’s the same with my uncle’s family.”

”She is a hero. She saved many families.”

”Good people get good returns; I hope she stays healthy.”

Su Yuanyuan smiled, not expecting that this silly woman had earned the respect of so many people.

All three were young, so they talked about many topics. Su Yuanyuan never spoke, just listened to their conversation.

Thinking to herself, isn’t this what youthful vitality looks like?

The three were also quite curious about this silent woman. But she hadn’t spoken a word since she entered.

The days on the train were much better than being cooped up in the capital. Su Yuanyuan didn’t feel lonely anymore. Ten days later, the three young people got off, and two middle-aged men with two kids got on.

Now Su Yuanyuan was not happy; it was really too annoying.

In the past life, she lived alone, so she liked peaceful days. Such noisy children were really unlikable.

Su Yuanyuan felt a bit agitated, wondering if the three children from this body’s past were this noisy too? She truly couldn’t take it.

After a day, Su Yuanyuan took her bag and got off the train. Actually, she had no destination in mind; it was already the twelfth lunar month. She was heading south, where it should be warmer than the capital.

In fact, it wasn’t far from the terminus. She really couldn’t bear the noise, feeling like she was going to have a heart attack?

She got off the train in the afternoon. After leaving the train station, she looked at the houses on the street, feeling there was a big difference from the north.

She found a hotel, took out her ID, and asked for a single room.

She planned to stay here for a few days to experience the local culture.

There was a slight language barrier; she couldn’t understand their dialect here, but they could understand her.

Earlier, she spent quite some time negotiating with the waiter outside because of the language issue.

The hotel didn’t provide meals, so she wandered out, wanting to try some local specialties.

The restaurant was crowded, and Su Yuanyuan followed the crowd and ordered the local specialty noodles.

As she ate, she felt a bit troubled; she really couldn’t swallow it, but with so many people around, she had to finish it. Yet, she truly didn’t want to eat it.

In the end, she forced herself to finish, thinking to herself not to try specialties without knowing them better next time.

Northerners sometimes really can’t adapt to southern flavors.

After eating, feeling wronged, she wandered the streets, afraid of indigestion.

At night, the supply and marketing cooperatives and places like that had also closed, but looking outside, it seemed to be similar everywhere.

Strolling slowly, she dodged someone about to bump into her.

Neither of them spoke. But Su Yuanyuan heard the inner thoughts of this person.

She wasn’t someone who meddled in others’ business. So she pretended not to know and continued on. But she was now wary of this person.

After walking for a while, she reached a large courtyard. This must have been a wealthy family’s place in the past, looking at the old brick walls. It was much better than other buildings on the street.

She was just passing by, but suddenly she stopped. There was a familiar feeling here.

Su Yuanyuan tried to extend her Divine Sense inside, discovering Hu Zi and Da Biao who were held captive.

Su Yuanyuan sighed inwardly; what are the odds? Wandering around randomly and finding two acquaintances in danger.

It seemed she was destined to save them. The two were unconscious now, the wounds must be serious.

She just paused for a moment and left as if nothing had happened.

She had experimented at home, and now the space could function independently. So later, she would find a way to wake both people up and then escape.

There were quite a few guards here, thirteen in total. It would be very difficult for her to escape with two severely injured people.

She wandered to another street, found a secluded place, checked, and then entered the space.

She entered the courtyard she passed by earlier, controlled the space to enter the room they were held in.

The two were covered in many festering wounds; what kind of suffering had they endured?

After checking, she carefully retreated from the space, wanting to check on the two who were burning with fever. Initially, she planned to wake them, but it seemed unfeasible now. They were in deep comas, possibly only having three to five days left.

She simply put them into the space; it was the only way to save them now.

She also entered the space, using her Divine Sense to check again, discovering a lot of data and firearms in the basement here.

Wow, what are they planning?

Su Yuanyuan was cautious, not revealing her presence even in the basement. The items inside vanished in the blink of an eye.

Only then did she leave hastily; it was quite dangerous here too.

She exited the space in a secluded area near the hotel, entering the hotel inconspicuously.

Since the single room was on the second floor, it was still quiet. So she released the two of them. Now both were feverish and had too many injuries. Su Yuanyuan had no other choice but to let them drink the Spiritual Spring Water. It was a huge risk.

Their self-protection instincts were very strong, so even feeding them the Spiritual Spring Water took a lot of effort.

Finally, after seeing them drink it, she was relieved.

As for treating their wounds? She really couldn’t do it. She’d just wait for them to recover gradually, and talk after they woke up.

Su Yuanyuan entered the space herself to quickly shower and change clothes, then laid out her own bedsheets before lying down.

In this situation, she couldn’t sleep. Only after sensing their steady breathing did she relax.
