My Martial Arts Level Never Drops

Chapter 92: Chapter 87: The Yellow Sparrow

As a thought occurred to him, he frowned and looked outside, his expression shifting.

”Hurry the hell up!”

He urged them loudly.

...The situation was clearly on the verge of chaos.

Word had gotten out from the Four Seas Gang that the leaders of both gangs were dead. The Four Seas Gang itself was probably in chaos right now.

But Ma the Second knew full well that their rivals weren’t limited to just the Four Seas Gang.

There were also the other, smaller gangs hiding in Pingze City.

These small gangs have Mingjin experts too!

Before, with Wang Hu keeping things in check, those smaller gangs were perfectly obedient and wouldn’t dare cause trouble.

But now, he was here all by himself.

He wasn’t confident he could keep those other gangs in line.

Once those people confirmed the news, they would undoubtedly come here to get a piece of the pie.

So he had to be fast!

’...Still, it shouldn’t be a huge problem.’

After all, a starved camel is still bigger than a horse. The news of their infighting hadn’t spread yet, and it would take Zhang Cheng some time to reach the market.

Those guys would probably wait until nightfall to make their move.

There was still some time before dark—enough for him to take Wang Hu’s money and get out of here.

’...He had it all planned out.’

After leaving here, he would head straight back to the county seat!

There were still rules in the county seat. These people wouldn’t dare cause trouble there.

’Getting my hands on Wang Hu’s savings from all these years... It’s going to be incredible!’

A hint of anticipation flickered in his eyes.

”Look lively!”

he urged again.

The sounds of chests being overturned and cabinets being rummaged through echoed endlessly from the house. And for gang members... ransacking was practically a professional skill.

Qin Fang, concealed on the eaves by the corner of the wall, watched the scene unfold with calm detachment.

’...Since someone was doing the searching for him, why not let them?’

About ten minutes later, the men gathered outside the house again.

”Boss, we’ve turned the house upside down. This is what we found...”

A man walked out, carrying a chest.

Ma the Second’s eyes lit up. He strode over and threw it open.

Inside the chest was a thick stack of Silver Notes, along with some miscellaneous loose silver, gold pieces, and other trinkets.

But after a single glance, Ma the Second frowned, his gaze turning fierce as he looked up. ”Is that all?! Are you holding out on me?”

He glared menacingly at his men.

The men hastily shook their heads, stammering, ”N-No, Boss! We wouldn’t dare!”

”Besides... this is a lot, isn’t it?”

There was a fortune in that chest!

Many of them were staring, wide-eyed. They’d never seen so much money in their entire lives.

But Ma the Second, it seemed, was still not satisfied.

’That’s right,’ Ma the Second’s expression shifted as he thought. ’Wang Hu had his own training to pay for, which consumes a ton of resources... He probably has a larger fortune back at his home in True Martial County...’

At this thought, he snorted. ”You’d better not have.”

He closed the lid, took a deep breath, and was just about to speak.

But just then...

WHOOSH!

Just as Ma the Second was about to speak, his head suddenly snapped to the side. A moment later, his eyes went wide. He staggered twice, then collapsed to the ground with a heavy thud.

The chest in his arms crashed to the ground, its contents—Silver Notes, gold, and silver—spilling everywhere.

The sudden turn of events was so abrupt that no one had time to react.

They stared blankly at Ma the Second’s fallen body.

Then they saw it: a massive, bloody hole had appeared right between his eyes.

Before their brains could even process what was happening, THUD... THUD...

The sound of more bodies hitting the ground followed.

They turned their heads in a daze, only to see several more of their companions collapsing to the ground around them.

And without exception... every single one had a bloody hole in their head.

The burly man standing in front of Ma the Second finally snapped out of it. His face twisted in horror, and he shrieked, ”Ambush!!!”

That single cry snapped everyone else out of their stupor.

Terror etched on their faces, they frantically whipped their heads around, searching for the attacker.

On top of the wall, Qin Fang, holding his Iron Nails, began picking them off one by one.

Though the sky wasn’t completely dark, it was already dim. Qin Fang’s Iron Nails were fast and small, and in their panic, the men couldn’t even tell where he was.

PFFT!

THUD!

Figures fell, one after another.

Everyone panicked. Like headless chickens, the men began to scatter and flee in a frenzy.

But under the assault of Qin Fang’s Iron Nails, none of them got far before they collapsed.

...For the men below, it was an utterly terrifying experience.

An enemy wasn’t what was scary. What was scary... was not even knowing where the enemy was!

One man frantically tried to escape the courtyard, but he dropped dead halfway there, his head pierced straight through.

”It’s an Expert in Hidden Weapons! Get inside! Get inside!!!”

someone yelled, trying to take cover in the house.

But Qin Fang had waited all this time for a reason. He had already found a perfect vantage point, ensuring that whether they tried to flee through the gate or run into the house, they could not escape his kill shots.

Those who scrambled for the house were also picked off one by one.

Qin Fang was too fast. This time, he employed a special technique, loosing at least four Iron Nails at once, each one finding its mark.

’...It could only be said that at the Great Success level of Hidden Weapon mastery, killing men who hadn’t even reached Mingjin was like shooting fish in a barrel—one nail, one kill.’

The desperate, panicked crowd scattered in chaos, only to die one by one at the hands of a foe whose location remained a mystery.

In the blink of an eye, more than twenty men were dead.

Despair was written on the faces of the few who remained!

”Who the hell are you?! Show yourself! Show yourself!!!”

they shrieked in despair.

The only reason they were still alive was that they had frozen in their panic, not knowing where to run.

Those who had tried to run had been the first to die.

Now, immense despair and terror gripped their hearts.

Amidst his hysterical screaming, one of them subconsciously looked up and around.

And then...

”Over there!!!”

His eyes suddenly shot open as he pointed in one direction...

...having spotted Qin Fang, who had been squatting on the wall the entire time!

The few remaining survivors instinctively followed his gaze.

The next moment...

PFFT! PFFT...

Bloody holes appeared in the center of each of their foreheads.

Their eyes were wide with disbelief, but in the end, their bodies swayed and tumbled to the ground.

Their wide-open eyes stared blankly, unable to rest in peace.

In less than thirty seconds, another thirty-plus men, including a Mingjin Powerhouse, had died here.

The scene fell silent.

TAP, TAP...

Qin Fang leaped down from the wall. He listened intently for a moment, and only after confirming there were no survivors did he walk toward the chest.

’...Just how much money is in here?’

he wondered curiously.
