My Martial Arts Level Never Drops

Chapter 87: Chapter 85: Roll Call

The figure that dropped down was a woman, petite and pretty, but her face was a mask of panic.

Especially when she saw Qin Fang and Monkey in the courtyard, her face instantly turned deathly pale!

’...I’m done for!’

’I forgot this courtyard had been rented out!’

A wave of dizziness washed over her.

At that very moment, the sound of urgent footsteps outside grew closer.

A clamor of voices rose.

”Damn it, where is she?!”

”I saw her come this way!”

”Search everywhere, we have to catch her!”

A commotion arose outside.

The sound of doors being pounded even rang out as they shouted for the neighbors to open up.

It was utter chaos, and they clearly wouldn’t stop until they found their target.

The woman’s expression grew even more panicked.

While Qin Fang and Monkey were still sizing her up, she was already begging in a low, urgent voice, ”Please, sirs, help me!”

Monkey said nothing, instinctively looking to Qin Fang.

Qin Fang, however, was frowning at the woman. After a moment, he asked in a low voice, ”You’re... from Huichun Hall?”

The woman froze, then a flash of panic crossed her eyes as she looked at Qin Fang. ”You... I...”

POUND! POUND! POUND!

Just then, someone began pounding on the courtyard gate with immense force.

”Open up, open up!”

Like a startled rabbit, the woman stared at the pounding gate, her entire body trembling.

Qin Fang glanced at the gate. A glint flickered in his eyes before he asked the woman, ”Who’s out there?”

The woman’s lips had turned pale. She opened her mouth to speak, but seemed too afraid.

”Speak, or get out,” Qin Fang said, his brow furrowed.

The woman let out a panicked, low cry and shook her head frantically. ”No, please don’t! I... I’ll talk...”

”I’m from Huichun Hall. Outside... those are men from the Iron Tiger Gang... They suddenly stormed Huichun Hall and started killing everyone on sight. I... I don’t know why...”

Tears streamed down her face as she spoke, full of fear and helplessness.

Qin Fang’s gaze flickered slightly.

’Men from the Iron Tiger Gang?’

’They stormed Huichun Hall and killed everyone on sight?’

He immediately thought of the news Monkey had brought back.

Monkey wore a knowing look.

Seeing Qin Fang look his way, he whispered, ”The rumor on the streets is that Huichun Hall is why the two gangs suffered such heavy losses. And that the Demon on the River Surface was probably their doing. It’s not surprising they’d come looking for trouble... After all, Huichun Hall has plenty of valuable things...”

Qin Fang was silent.

’...It was the same kind of reasoning he and Monkey had just used when planning to visit Wang Hu’s and Cao Zhen’s homes.’

”Open up! I heard you talking in there! If you don’t open this door right now, we’re coming in!”

”Shit, just climb the wall and see!”

The Iron Tiger Gang members outside seemed to hear the voices from the courtyard and began pounding on the gate with even greater frenzy. The gate shook, on the verge of breaking.

Someone even suggested climbing the wall.

Qin Fang’s gaze turned cold as he looked up at the courtyard wall.

The courtyard wall was made of brick and stone, very sturdy.

The next moment, a head popped up over the wall.

His gaze swept across the yard and landed on the three of them.

His eyes lit up, but before he could utter a word...

With a flick of his wrist, Qin Fang sent an Iron Nail whistling through the air!

THWACK!

With a soft sound, a large hole was punched straight through the man’s forehead. The surprised grin froze on his face. His head snapped back, and his body tumbled down.

A series of shocked cries erupted from outside.

Now that he had acted, Qin Fang wasted no more time. He shot forward, took a few steps up the side wall, and leaped onto the top.

Only then did horrified voices rise from outside.

”He’s dead?!”

”What happened?!”

”There’s a huge hole in his head!”

The people outside cried out in horror.

From the side wall, Qin Fang looked out and saw a chaotic street.

There were about thirty or more people on the street outside.

Several neighbors had been forced to open their doors, and some men had rushed into their houses to search.

Outside his courtyard, there were only about ten people.

They had noticed the body of the man who had just been killed and were horrified.

Further away, many common folk were watching from a distance with terrified expressions.

Holding a handful of Iron Nails, Qin Fang’s eyes flashed with cold light as he began picking his targets.

With a flick of his wrist, several Iron Nails shot out abruptly.

The Iron Nails were small to begin with. Combined with Qin Fang’s current strength—far greater than it was just ten-odd days ago—the projectiles were even more terrifying!

They were so fast they were nearly silent, not even a whisper of air being broken. From Qin Fang’s own perspective, all he could see were a few specks of black light.

As for the others, it was impossible for them to see the Iron Nails at all.

A few crisp thuds echoed, and three men went rigid before collapsing to the ground without a sound.

The men he hit were on the outer edge of the group, over thirty meters away from Qin Fang.

Everyone’s attention was fixed on the man who had fallen from the wall, so no one noticed their comrades on the periphery.

Not until they hit the ground did anyone react.

With a flip of his hand, Qin Fang produced a few more Iron Nails, then flicked his wrist again.

THWACK! THWACK! THWACK!

Another three people fell.

This time, someone closer heard the thud of bodies hitting the ground. They instinctively turned their heads and saw the corpses.

Their pupils contracted violently as they screamed, ”Ambush!!”

The others whipped their heads around, finally seeing the bodies on the ground.

The color drained from their faces.

They froze in shock, but Qin Fang did not. His gaze was calm, his hands moving like lightning, sending one Iron Nail after another flying.

THWACK! THWACK! THWACK!

A rapid succession of thuds echoed as figures toppled over, one after another.

This finally jolted everyone outside into action.

”Damn it! It’s an Expert in Hidden Weapons!”

”Take cover! Take cover!!!”

They finally snapped out of it, but they were scared out of their wits, scrambling like mad to find cover.

But, even now they didn’t know where Qin Fang was.

”Practice makes perfect,” as they say. When it came to sniping from a wall, Qin Fang was already a seasoned pro.

The Iron Nails seemed to have eyes of their own. No matter where the men ran, a flash of black light meant another body hitting the ground.

The power of Qin Fang’s Iron Nails was far beyond that of a large-caliber handgun; they were practically a high-precision sniper rifle!

Every shot was a bullseye!

The sudden chaos also alerted the gang members who were searching for the woman in the neighbors’ houses. They came out in horror, only to be greeted by silent bullets.

The terrifying scene stunned the men who were a few steps behind. They reacted in an instant, slamming their doors shut.

That made them harder to kill, since his Iron Nails couldn’t yet pierce through walls.

Even so, the thirty-odd men on the street, all clearly members of the Iron Tiger Gang, now lay in pools of their own blood.

The distant onlookers gasped in unison, taking an involuntary step back.

...From their distance, they couldn’t hear a thing, which made the scene unfolding before their eyes all the more bizarre.

They simply saw men suddenly collapsing, one after another, with no visible weapon or cause.

And just like that, more than thirty men lay dead on the ground.

A few more Iron Tiger Gang members who opened their doors to see the commotion also died at their doorsteps.

The scene instantly became eerily quiet.
