Regression - Second Chance At Life

Chapter 43: Eyes On Adam

Adam sees his father walk in with a beautiful woman he has never seen before.

’So this is why he was asking where I worked?’ Adam thinks his father asked Adam for the address of his workplace.

Adam approaches Jack and sticks to being professional.

”Welcome, table for two, I assume?” Adam says with a charismatic smile on his face. The beautiful woman standing beside Jack looks at Adam with great interest.

Adam also checks out the woman, as she is beautiful. Platinum blond hair that flows down, smooth pale skin, big beautiful eyes, a sexy curvy figure with big breasts, small waist, and wide hips, long sexy smooth legs, adding to her already perfect set of features.

This woman looks to be in her late 20s, but Adam feels she is much older. He guesses somewhere in her late 30s or early 40s. So Adam can imagine just how much more beautiful she was in her late teens and twenties.

But that doesn’t mean she is not beautiful right now. Now that this woman has matured and now carries an aura of regal elegance that women in their 20s and early 30s can never have.

”Yes,” Jack says. ”This way, please,” Adam says, guiding the two towards an empty table. Jack takes a seat, and Adam steps in as the woman is about it. ”Let me help you with that,” Adam says and pulls out the chair for the woman.

”Well, aren’t you a gentleman~” the woman says with a smile and sits down. Adam just smiles and nods his head.

”Would you like to start with a drink?” Adam asks.

”Any recommendations?” the woman asks. Adam then begins listing some drink options curated by Ellie and what they taste like. She then asks Jack if he has any preference, to which he tells her to choose.

Adam notices this. He knows his father, and this man would never let anyone take the lead unless the person’s standing is above his. So, just this simple action from him makes Adam realize that the beautiful woman before him is someone special.

”I will bring your drinks right away. Here’s the menu. All the dishes have been personally curated by the owner, who is also the head chef,” Adam says, and leaves the two to make their decision while he fetches their drinks.

As he is taking out the bottle of wine from the chiller, Leila approaches him. ”Hey, what was that?” she asks.

”What?” Adam questions. ”Your behavior just changed when those two people stepped in. It’s like you stepped up a notch. Is something wrong?” Leila asks.

”That’s my dad, and probably one of his business partners,” Adam says.

”Oh shit, what is he doing here?” Leila asks.

”I don’t know what goes inside that twisted head of his,” Adam says.

”It sounds like you don’t like your dad very much,” Leila says.

”Well, if you meet him in person, you will loathe him. You won’t find a bastard as cold-hearted as him even if you tried,” Adam says.

”Looks like someone has daddy issues,” Leila says with a smirk, making Adam chuckle. ”It’s ironic, coming from you,” Adam says.

”And what makes you think I have daddy issues?” Leila asks as if offended by Adam’s words. ”Really? Just look at you. Tell me you don’t have daddy issues without telling me you have daddy issues,” Adam says with a smirk.

”Fine, you got me, I have daddy issues,” Leila says, rolling her eyes.

”And I don’t have one. I don’t care about his approval or attention. I just fucking hate the guy,” Adam says.

”Aww, and here I thought we had something in common,” Leila says, teasingly. She knows how to keep things light.

”Don’t worry, you can call me daddy if you want,” Adam teases back.

”You wish,” Leila says with a smirk and leaves.

Adam returns to Jack’s side and begins serving them drinks. He then takes their orders and heads back to the kitchen.

”You weren’t kidding when you said you had an amazing son,” the woman says as she watches Adam leave. Her eyes flash with a hungry glint when she looks at Adam, and Jack is sharp enough to notice it.

’This harlot. Already eyeing up my son. But this can be useful for me. I can use Adam as an excuse to further the deal,’ Jack thinks, already planning to sell his son for business.

Plus, he doesn’t think Adam would mind getting his hands dirty with such a beautiful woman. What kind of man would reject a chance to sleep with someone like Margarette?

Even Jack would love to fuck this woman, but this woman is not someone who can be messed with. She is a ruthless, cold bitch who is part of a very influential family. A multi-millionaire like him would never dare mess with someone like her.

”He knows that only hard work will get him what he wants. He knows he cannot rely on his old man if he wants something,” Jack says, sipping on his wine.

”Kids these days have it too easy. At least your son knows that,” Margarette says as her eyes search for Adam. Jack smirks, seeing this.

He didn’t expect his son would have such an impact on Margarette. ’I finally know your weakness,’ Margarette was being a pain in his ass as she had too much of a leverage.

But if Jack can give Margarette what she wants, she might sweeten the deal for him.

Adam returns with their food and keeps his professionalism. He notices the woman getting a little touchy with him, but instead of pulling away, he flirts back with her.

He looks at Jack. ”You better thank me for this,” Adam mouths at Jack. Jack doesn’t say anything.

After a while, Adam leaves the two to their business, as he has other customers to serve.

Adam begins serving other people, be he had to return to them once again to collect the check as they were done with their dinner.

Jack tried to pay, but the woman stepped forward and paid for it. She also left a five-thousand-dollar tip for Adam. The tip was ten times more than the price of the food they ate.

Adam personally escorted the two out of the restaurant since the woman went out of her way and gave him such a massive tip.

”It was nice meeting you, Adam. Your father said a lot of good things about you,” the woman says, looking into Adam’s eyes.

Adam smiles. ”It was nice to meet you, too. Miss ...” Adam says, asking for her name. ”My name’s Margarette Angelos. But you can just call me Marge,” she says, placing her hand on Adam’s hand.

She feels Adam’s muscles hiding underneath his shirt, exciting her a little. Her eyes can’t help but undress Adam and imagine what Adam could be hiding underneath.

”Well then, Marge. It was nice to meet you,” Adam says, taking her hand in his and kissing the back of it.

”Hope, we meet again someday,” Margarette says. ”I hope so, too,” Adam replies with his signature smile.

Margarette and Jack then take their leave while Adam returns to the restaurant and continues his shift.

An hour later, the last of the customers leaves. Adam bids his farewell to his coworkers and Ellie, too. She is still a little awkward around him, but as the day has passed, her interaction with Adam becomes normal again.

Adam gets in his car and puts a new location in his GPS. The one sent to him by Gloria.

He can keep a beautiful woman like Gloria waiting for long.

Adam drives into Sunville Plaza, known for being a very posh area in the city, which is home to many rich people.

He follows the GPS and soon finds the house he is looking for. It’s a mansion similar in size to his.

Adam finds the gate open, so he drives in and gets out of his car. He approaches the door and rings the bell once.

He sees a shadow underneath the entrance door, indicating someone is right before him. He can feel the hesitation in this person’s action, but the door opens anyway.

Adam sees the woman he saw in the club standing before him. Looking as beautiful as she was that night.

”Hey~” Adam says, smiling at her.

”Hey~ come in,” she says. Adam once again hears the hesitation in her voice. He starts thinking that she really doesn’t want this as much as she said she wanted in the text messages.

But Adam still walks in. He looks at Gloria as she walks before him. She is wearing a nice one-piece dress that is perfectly hugging her curvy body, highlighting her sexy curves. Especially her ass, as it looks fine from where Adam is standing.

Taking his eyes off Gloria’s fascinating ass, he begins studying his surrounding. The walls of his mansion are much more cozy than his, indicating that Gloria put some work into making this place feel like home.

It’s not cold and lifeless like his house.

But he also starts seeing some things that are out of place. Some broken decorations, some photos are flipped, and there are some marks on the walls. It’s as if someone threw a fit inside the house, and from the looks of it, these marks seem fresh.

”Sit down, I will get you something to drink.” She says while pointing at the couch in the living room.

Adam smiles and sits down as Gloria leaves. The more he reads her body language, the more he feels her hesitation.

’Why is she doing this?’ Adam asks himself as he tries to find an answer by reading his surroundings.
