Regression - Second Chance At Life

Chapter 40: Rangsan

Ellie’s decision not to entertain Sean turned out to be the right one because just as Sean moved away from her, one of the kitchen staff entered through the back door and immediately got to work.

Sean saw this and decided to stop being grumpy and began helping around the kitchen again, which he soon got bored with, but not wanting to get scolded by Ellie, he continued working.

In front of the house, Adam and the girls continued serving customers as their number grew in size and the restaurant got busy.

With the front of the house full, the kitchen became more chaotic, but Ellie managed it flawlessly, making sure that every plate of food that left the kitchen was perfect.

This restaurant’s whole business model was to serve art on a plate that also tastes delicious.

Two hours flew by fast as customers kept walking in. The restaurant is getting famous through word of mouth, and Ellie’s cooking is also winning over a lot of people who only value taste.

With food both looking and tasting good, how can the restaurant fail?

With how busy it is getting, Ellie will have to hire more people to run this business.

The afternoon service ends, giving the staff finally some time for lunch. Adam eats with the girls, increasing his relationship with them a little more.

He isn’t overly friendly with them and passes flirty comments sometimes to keep their interest up.

Done with lunch, Adam leaves for the gym.

With a full belly and a lot of energy to spare, Adam drives his car to his gym.

Walking into the gym, he finds it as empty as yesterday. People don’t usually train at this time, making it perfect for Adam to get more attention from Lamai.

On his way here, Adam bought some gym equipment just like Lamai asked him to during yesterday’s training.

Adam enters the changing room and puts on his training uniform, and begins looking around for Lamai. No sign of Lamai anywhere. Adam decides to go through what Lamai taught him yesterday, thinking that she might have gone out for something.

As he is training, he hears footsteps behind him. He stops and turns around and sees a middle-aged man in his mid-40s watching him with his hands folded.

Adam recognizes this man. It’s Lamai’s father, Rangsan Ayutthaya. The real owner of this gym.

This man is about five feet seven inches tall, with broad shoulders and short limbs. He has some fat around his waist, but his hands and legs still have defined muscles.

Though the man is not active anymore, he still throws hands by sparring with his students.

”Don’t stop, keep going,” the man says.

Adam nods his head and continues practicing what he was taught yesterday. It doesn’t take long for Adam to recreate everything before he finally stops.

”Is that all?” Rangsan asks.

”Yes. I was only taught so much by Lamai yesterday,” Adam says. ”How long have you been training in mixed martial arts?” Rangsan asks.

”Just started yesterday,” Adam says. ”And you have had no prior training before this?” he questions, to which Adam shakes his head in denial.

”Lamai won’t be here today, I will guide you today,” Rangsan says and begins teaching Adam from where Lamai left it off.

He starts immediately with advanced-level footwork because he is far more experienced than Lamai. He can see that Adam has already perfected what he has been taught, so Rangsan wants to see how Adam will adapt to some advanced footwork techniques.

Rangsan starts showing him some wrestling footwork, such as penetration steps - dropping level, stepping deep with lead leg, and then following with back leg explosively.

Rangsan acts as his sparing partner and lets Adam practice his footwork, and Rangsan immediately feels the massive strength disparity between them.

Rangsan feels like Adam could even tie hands with heavyweights with how strong he is.

Soon, Rangsan also witnesses Adam’s monstrous talent as he perfects the footwork.

Rangsan doesn’t waste Adam’s time and teaches him the next move. He begins teaching Adam how to defend knee drive takedowns. After that, some circle and hand fighting.

Adam absorbed everything like a sponge, impressing Rangsan beyond expectations.

When he heard about a new student at the gym from Lamai and how she called him a monstrous prodigy, Rangsan had to see it with his own eyes.

He is still not completely convinced, as Adam could just be someone who is good a copying people, his real talent will show when he is in the ring fighting someone.

But Rangsan has to admit that Adam is a monster when it comes to physical strength. He has never locked hands with anyone as strong as Adam when it comes to his size. Wrestling him feels like wrestling a heavyweight.

”Let’s start with your striking lessons,” Rangsan says as he sees Adam flawlessly execute everything that was taught to him, and he still hasn’t broken a sweat.

”Do you have your own wraps?” Rangsan asks. ”Yes, just bought a few,” Adam says. ”Wrap it on and get in the ring,” Rangsan says.

Adam stands in the ring with his new wraps wrapped around his hand. Rangsan stands before Adam with his hands loose.

”Let’s start with simple striking combinations,” Rangsan says and begins showing Adam how to do simple combinations like Jab-Cross, Jab-Cross-Hooks, Jab-Jab-Uppercuts, and many more. ”Try implementing the footwork into your punches,” Rangsan advises.

Adam begins learning how to punch, and his body starts working its magic, moving in flow, mixing his footwork perfectly into his punches.

Rangsan tries to guide Adam through pad work, but without any pads on which he comes to regret, as just after taking a few punches from Adam, his hands start hurting.

These hands that have taken so many punches couldn’t handle the amateur ones from Adam, once again showing just how much power Adam has.

Rangsan is forced to put on some pads and continue the training again.

Rangsan watches as Adam self-corrects himself on instinct whenever he is off beat, over-, or under-commits to a certain movement. These are clearly signs of someone who understands his body and how it moves.

Not every punch should be a textbook punch if it flows against the body. The body works at its best when every part works in harmony, and Rangsan can see how Adam knows how to move his body.

The class continues, and the more Rangsan teaches Adam, the more amazed he is by the young man standing before him.

When he looks at Adam, he sees wasted potential, because if he had found Adam when he was young, Adam might have already been dominating the MMA scene.

Within the next hour, Adam soaks in every basic striking movement, punches, kicks, and all possible combinations that can be thrown.

Adam learns nothing flashy today, but in real fights, flashy moves never work; stick to simple things and dominate.

”That’s it for today,” Rangsan says, ending today’s training session.

”Should I expect you tomorrow as well?” Adam asks.

”No, Lamai will be here tomorrow. She will continue with your training. If you show more promise, I might step in,” Rangsan says and leaves the ring.

Adam takes a quick shower, changes into his casual clothes, and leaves.

He wonders why Lamai was not here today, but he didn’t mind learning from Rangsan. Today’s training was much more physically draining, but easy to learn. Showing how effective a trainer Rangsan is.

Adam doesn’t mind who he learns from. Though Lamai might not be as experienced as her father, she is still very knowledgeable and easy on the eyes.

Adam gets in his car and drives back to the restaurant.

He is back early, as there is still some time for the restaurant to reopen. Adam parks his car in his usual spot and enters through the back door.

He expected to see Ellie, but he didn’t find her anywhere. ’Maybe she went out with that idiot,’ Adam thinks, and makes his way to his changing room.

Adam grabs the door of the changing room and pushes it open, and what he sees happening inside takes him by surprise.

He sees Ellie bent over with her skirt all the way up, supporting herself with her hands against one of the lockers, as Sean stands behind her, holding onto her waist and fucking her, standing doggy style.

Both immediately snap their heads towards Adam and see him staring back at them with big eyes.

”AAAAAAAAAA” Ellie screams and quickly pulls away from Sean, revealing his dick. It’s below average. Four something inches.

”I am sorry, didn’t expect you guys would be getting busy here,” Adam says, and closes the door.

[I told you, something like this would happen.] Adam hears Ellie’s voice coming from inside. She is clearly embarrassed for getting caught having sex at work.

Adam decides not to linger for long, as they might come out any time.

Adam comes to the front of the house and takes a seat. He takes out his phone and begins looking through it, checking if he has any messages from anyone.

He finds a message from Ruth. She has sent a selfie of herself naked. Adam smirks and sends some horny face emoji back.

No one else messaged him other than Ruth, which shows just how lonely Adam’s life really is. But of course, he is working on it.

Speaking of working on his life, Adam remembers the woman who approached him at the club he visited with Ruth.

Adam thought she was really hot, but didn’t have the time to contact her, so he decides to send her a message now.

[Hey] This is enough for now. He can work his charm when she replies back.
