Da da da.

Armed helicopters filled with missiles circled in the sky, while below them, a thick, rolling, surging MurasakiRed mist spread. Skeletons, all dark Red, holding various weapons, emerged from the mist and charged forward.

Boom.

A cannon roared.

A burst of fire exploded in the center of the skeleton horde. The powerful blast crushed several skeletons, turning them into dark Red dust.

Those were shells fired by the American military’s tanks.

Having received orders, they had formed a wall of steel to firmly block all the street entrances in the area.

But was this really useful?

Sitting in the helicopter, Nick Fury deeply doubted what he was seeing. Maybe blocking the roads like this could suppress the skeletons for a short time, but without eliminating the source, it would be hard to hold out.

Taking a deep breath, Nick Fury turned to Coulson beside him. ”How’s the President?”

”He’s safe. He’s been evacuated from the area through the Presidential Palace’s secret passage,” Coulson replied.

”What’s the story behind this?”

”According to our investigation, it seems to be related to these two people.” Coulson held up a tablet computer, showing his boss images of an old veteran and Deadpool.

”Damn Wade, what’s gotten into him?” Nick Fury knew Deadpool, of course, but he couldn’t understand why this guy, who usually fought against the Black gang and evil pharmaceutical companies, had suddenly changed his ways and attacked the Presidential Palace.

”Also, according to witnesses, the source seems to be a strange parchment scroll,” Coulson added after a moment’s hesitation.

”Parchment scroll? Are there witches and the Black Death too?” Nick Fury stared with his one remaining eye, telling a joke that wasn’t funny. ”Damn it, are we living in the twenty-first century?”

”Ah, well.” Coulson paused, unsure how to respond.

”Contact Tony, tell him there’s an interesting project here waiting for him to research.” After a moment of silence, Nick Fury looked at the surging mist below and said calmly, ”Also, what’s the situation with Natasha?”

”She’s convinced Dr. Banner.”

”Good. This will be the first mission our Avengers will face.”

Boom.

Just as the two were talking, a sudden explosion rang out in the distance.

They looked over and saw several rhino and elephant-like skeletons using their brute strength to overturn tanks and armored vehicles. The steel wall had been torn open.

”Shit! Motherfucker!” Seeing this, veins popped out on Nick Fury’s forehead as he cursed.

He had thought this kind of interception wouldn’t last long, but he didn’t expect the military to be so useless. Now that there was a gap, Washington was in real danger!

The Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. was filled with anxiety, and the other members of the dimensional chat group weren’t doing much better either.

Lazy Kitten: ? What’s going on?

Doujin Artist: This we have to ask Deadpool. What’s going on? He just disappeared.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: We were supposed to witness a miracle, but we witnessed nothing. No live stream, and he’s not talking.

Foul-Mouthed Mask Guy: ???

Curly-haired Guy: Damn, this guy dares to ask a question mark?

Amegakure Village’s Angel: Deadpool, what’s the situation? We’re all waiting for your live stream, but you’re skipping out?

Foul-Mouthed Mask Guy: Wait, wait! I didn’t start the live stream? Damn it, I’ve been busy for so long and I didn’t even start the live stream? Oh, fuck! Am I stupid? Am I really stupid? No wonder you guys weren’t answering my questions! Damn it, I thought you were going to abandon this little cutie!

Curly-haired Guy: You finally realized it, Deadpool! You’re right, you’re just plain stupid.

Machete Girl: You don’t even know if you started the live stream? Can’t you see the little TV screen at the bottom?

Foul-Mouthed Mask Guy: Damn it, I just saw that I didn’t click the last step! I was too excited at the time!

Soul Society’s Villain: So, you did what you needed to do without the live stream? Have you taken over the Presidential Palace?

Foul-Mouthed Mask Guy: Cough cough cough, except for a little technical problem. But trust me, it wasn’t intentional. I didn’t expect this to happen, Nimsom can vouch for me.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: What kind of problem?

Doujin Artist: Who’s Nimsom?

Foul-Mouthed Mask Guy: An old veteran who lives in Washington D.C., he says he fought in Vietnam. But I think he’s full of crap, because he doesn’t have muscles like Rambo. And his armpits smell bad, I suspect he hasn’t showered for two months.

Lazy Kitten: So many things to complain about, I don’t know where to start.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: So, what was the problem?

Foul-Mouthed Mask Guy: Ah, well... it might be a little complicated. In short, we achieved our goal of taking over the Presidential Palace! I think?

Soul Society’s Villain: I think?

This is an Actor: From your tone, it sounds like there was an unexpected twist. Are you in trouble?

Foul-Mouthed Mask Guy: Haha! Trust me, it’s not a big deal! Just a small thing, yes! Just a normal little thing, it should be taken care of soon.

Boom.

Just as Deadpool sent this message, a deafening explosion erupted behind him. Flames shot up into the sky, and a terrifying mushroom cloud rose.

Doujin Artist: He actually admitted there’s trouble?

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Unbelievable. Even you, who always tries to save face, says there’s trouble. It must be a big problem!

Machete Girl: Did you blow up the Presidential Palace with a nuke?

Foul-Mouthed Mask Guy: No, no, no, I would never do that! Do you guys think I’m that crazy? That hurts my feelings, my heart hurts!

Amegakure Village’s Angel: Stop acting like a fool, just start the live stream.

Pretty Boy from Skull Island: Yeah, start the live stream! My curiosity is completely piqued.

Foul-Mouthed Mask Guy: There’s really no big problem, really!

This is an Actor: You have two choices. Either start the live stream, or I’ll travel over there and start it for you.

Suggestion: Foul-Mouthed Mask Guy has opened the live stream room.
