Chapter 77 - 77: Kisame – “Do You Even Have Manners?”

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Huh? Anzen-san, you even taught the Sage of Six Paths how to pass on Soul Reaper powers?

This is an Actor: Yup.

Doujin Artist: It’s one thing to go easy, but you’re going full ocean mode now?

This is an Actor: If I didn’t, it’d be totally one-sided. Just a boring slaughter. A plot with zero tension is way too dull.

Amegakure Village’s Angel: That’s true.

Curly-haired Guy: ”True”? My foot. Isn’t steamrolling the enemy fun? Why make things harder for yourself?

This is an Actor: To improve my role-playing skills.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Ah, I see.

Doujin Artist: Can’t even argue with that. If that’s the reason, then there’s nothing more to say.

Getting better at acting the role is definitely key. That’s the core of Aizen’s whole identity. As long as that gets better, everything else is secondary.

This is an Actor: Also, in my plan, mass-producing low-quality Soul Reapers is a crucial part.

Shark-Faced Guy: Mass-producing?

He definitely understood what ”low-quality Soul Reapers” meant.

They couldn’t forge zanpakutō. Even Aizen couldn’t create real Soul Reapers. But even so, isn’t mass-producing even the weak ones a bit of a stretch?

Sure, the Sage of Six Paths is powerful, but he doesn’t have unlimited spiritual energy.

It seemed like Aizen knew what Hoshigaki Kisame was about to ask, and directly revealed the answer: relying on Otsutsuki Hagoromo’s energy alone isn’t enough—but he’s not alone.

Doujin Artist: Not alone?

Seemingly realizing something, Eriri looked over at the livestream screen.

On screen, Otsutsuki Hagoromo had already led Madara, Pain, the Five Kage, and the other ninja into a deep tunnel. The view ahead opened up again.

Lush trees, a gently flowing stream. Distant mountains layered one after another, with silver moonlight pouring down.

”What is this place?” Uchiha Madara asked in surprise.

It was clearly daytime just a moment ago in Amegakure Village, but after walking through a tunnel, it suddenly became night. Even someone like Uchiha Madara felt unnerved by the strange time shift.

”Welcome,” Otsutsuki Hagoromo said with a small smile, clearly pleased by everyone’s shocked expressions. ”This is the Pure Land—the land of the dead.”

What?

Everyone present, including Uchiha Madara, was shocked.

Even the people watching the livestream couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

Curly-haired Guy: The Pure Land? This place too? Are there more than one Pure Land?

Amegakure Village’s Angel: There’s only one Pure Land. What’s happening now probably just means it’s huge. Even if you added up the entire ninja world, it wouldn’t be even one percent of it.

*Swish, swish, swish.*

Right after the two of them sent their messages, several figures appeared on the screen in front of the ninja crowd.

”Hashirama?!”

”Grandpa? Great-uncle?!”

Madara and Tsunade both shouted in surprise.

That’s right—the ones who appeared were the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama, and the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama. And they weren’t the only familiar faces. A number of well-known figures from different villages had shown up. All of them were former Kage who had long passed away.

”So this is the secret plan you mentioned earlier to deal with Aizen,” Jiraiya looked around and suddenly understood. ”Bringing the fallen Kage back to life to protect the ninja world... That’s a surprise.”

Yakushi Kabuto added, ”Aizen would definitely be shocked if he saw this.”

That’s what he said, but in his mind, he was already thinking about how to send this information to Aizen.

From Kabuto’s point of view, even Aizen’s army of Arrancars might not stand a chance against this many powerful fighters. He could feel spiritual pressure coming from all of them—which meant they had all been turned into Shinigami.

These people were already top-tier in life. Now that they had Shinigami powers, who knows how strong they’d become? Kabuto didn’t dare make a guess. This was far beyond what he had expected.

”Hmph, kind of funny when you think about it.” Otsutsuki Hagoromo didn’t notice Kabuto’s hidden thoughts and said calmly, ”The idea of reviving the Kage actually came from Aizen Sosuke himself. Using his own method against him—it should teach that arrogant brat a lesson.”

His tone carried a bit of pride, like he believed Aizen was already in the palm of his hand.

That moment—with his long goatee lifted slightly as he raised his chin—was clearly seen by everyone watching the livestream.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Pfft.

Saten Ruiko burst out laughing. She thought this Rikudou Sennin was pretty funny, though not exactly the brightest.

Curly-haired Guy: He wants to teach Aizen a lesson for being arrogant—what do you think, Anzen-san?

This is an Actor: Seeing how confident he is, I’m quite happy.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Too bad... that lesson probably won’t happen.

Doujin Artist: Yeah, instead he’ll probably realize he was the clown all along.

Amegakure Village’s Angel: What I’m more curious about is... how is Anzen-san watching all of this remotely? Is this some kind of livestreaming ability?

This is an Actor: You’ve heard of surveillance bacteria, right?

Doujin Artist: Oh, the thing Mayuri Kurotsuchi invented?

This is an Actor: Exactly. The bacteria blend into someone’s cells and let the controller create visuals from them.

Shark-Faced Guy: So who’s the one being watched then...?

This is an Actor: Oh, you didn’t really think I’d completely trust him, did you?

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Then you didn’t put those tracking bacteria in Konan and Kisame too, right?

This is an Actor: I knew from the start that Konan was one of our members, so of course I wouldn’t plant anything on her.

Shark-Faced Guy: What about me?

This is an Actor: That’s all for today’s stream. Nothing else worth watching. Get some rest, everyone.

Shark-Faced Guy: ???
