The Genius Evolution Store

’This is going to be hard. I can’t fully use my strength...’ Eva narrowed her eyes, examining the situation. She had been trying to stop the snake from going anywhere else.

Although she had seen some successes, she was still struggling. Sooner or later, it would break free of her.

’What should I do?’ Eva glanced to the right, finding Auric and Katarina handling other beasts.

’I can’t rely on anyone else. The only option is to wait for someone to help me, but there’s not much time. Do I have to reveal my true power?’ Eva clicked her tongue, not knowing what to do.

To her surprise, a burst of flame spread from the right.

”!!!” She felt goosebumps, her gaze immediately shifting to Auric and Katarina.

’There are no other people besides us, right? Then this fire...’ Eva could only think of one possibility. ’...Auric’s fire, but this kind of power...’

Eva was completely speechless. She had expected that Auric was still hiding his power. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Auric revealed another element.

The problem was the strength of that fire. Auric’s fire was so powerful that it felt even more intense than her light element.

’What exactly is his element? How does it even work? Every time he reveals an element, there is something surprising about it. Besides, when did he awaken this fire element?

’According to the available information, his elements have to be awakened first. As a result, he only has four elements. He’s waiting for the other elements to awaken. Or has he awakened this element from the beginning, but he’s hiding it as a trump card?’

Eva couldn’t comprehend the plan. However, she could see one thing. ’Even the rank 3 beast doesn’t dare to approach the flame carelessly...’

Eva gulped. ’How talented is he? First, he has multiple elements and can do elemental fusion. He’s also a silver-grade evolution master, who is said to reach the peak of evolution masters. He has a unique element, but one that is not restricted by the unique element’s limitations because that element allows him to gather all other elements and use them.

’In addition, his combat power can’t be underestimated either. Normal evolution masters won’t be good at fighting. His sensitivity is also crazy good. He can easily find artifacts.’

Unexpectedly, Katarina gave her another shock.

A massive sphere appeared on top of her as she released this sphere at full power, bombarding the snake and other beasts.

Eva felt a chill down her spine.

’What? What kind of power is that? Is that truly something that a rank 3 human can wield? That kind of power is equal to my full power, but I’m one rank above her.

’Is that the reason they paired me up with her? She is the only person who can somehow fight me? What’s going on with this country? I was supposed to be a genius, but here, my pride as a genius has been humiliated by at least two people. Besides...’

If Eva looked at the other members of the group, each of them was an exceptional individual as well.

Ellia could maintain her position by herself, striking at the snake while killing the beasts surrounding her. Vera’s power had increased to a whole new level as she tried to cut down this massive snake.

Eric might not look flashy, but he was the reason Vera could deal so much damage to the snake.

’What is going on with this team? If we’re at the same level, no one will know who would win.’

Eva gulped. ’People say geniuses attract other geniuses. I guess this is what they mean... Besides, there is another reason why I came to this country. Sunlight. There is an unknown person who is able to create the impossible.

’If this Sunlight continues to develop his gathering techniques, he will become a terrifying figure comparable to the Seven Stars.’

Eva felt troubled.

’Since when has Esfrata become this terrifying?’ Eva took a deep breath. ’At least I’m able to figure this out early. Besides, we will defeat this snake after one or two attacks from Katarina. I should keep this thought to myself and focus on earning their trust first.’

Eva maintained her role. Because of the power released by Auric and Katarina, she regained her confidence. It would be a matter of time before the snake would die.

But to her surprise, Auric suddenly shouted, ”RUN!”

”!!!” Eva glanced to the right, wondering what had happened.

She couldn’t see anything, but she soon heard what was happening. ”Incoming beasts from the ravine. There is a rank 4 beast among them.”

”!!!” Eva was startled. ’Tsk. Two rank 4 beasts? This snake is heavily injured, but we still need some effort to take it down. And to think there’s a rank 4 beast in this ravine... Why are we so unlucky?’

Eva wondered if she should reveal her true power. This was the only way to do it. If she could somehow kill one of them quickly, she could help with the other rank 4 beast.

However, Auric gave another order. ”Let’s retreat from this place. We will climb the mountain on the right and continue to run. Eva and Ellia will maintain the rear, Katarina and I will try to chip down their numbers, Eric and Vera will open the path for us.”

Eva was startled. This order meant only one thing. Auric still intended to kill all of these beasts, including the two rank 4 beasts.

With their firepower, if they had the time, they might be able to kill these rank 4 beasts.

’Maybe it will work. The situation is not hopeless yet. Besides, this might be a good opportunity to find another trump card that Auric hasn’t revealed yet.’

Eva thought for a moment. It would be a big burden if they ended up failing, but she could probably guarantee everyone to escape, especially with Katarina’s ability.

So, it was still a gamble worth taking.

While she was too focused on the pros and cons, Ellia had actually passed her as though she trusted Auric completely.

’What? So fast?’ Eva bit her lip, trying to stop the incoming beasts.

She had to hold on until Eric and Vera reached her position, but it turned out they only needed another three seconds. They reacted a bit later than Ellia, but they still followed his orders without hesitation.

Then, Katarina rained bullets down on the beasts. The bullets weren’t as strong as the previous ones, but they were still strong enough to kill several beasts.

Meanwhile, Auric focused on hindering the beasts approaching from the south, slowing them down for the team.

Eva raised her spear.

Light of judgment.

A golden light illuminated the snake, causing it to scream in pain. She used that gap to run, chasing after the rest of the team who had started climbing the right mountain.

As soon as he reached the top, Auric said, ”Continue! We will head toward the barrier if necessary. Find any locations to harm the beasts and defeat them one by one.”

Katarina kept summoning her bullets, trying to hinder the enemy’s movements. Once Eric and Vera caught up, Auric waved his hand, gesturing for them to continue first.

Eric and Vera exchanged glances before rushing down the mountain.

Auric then placed his hand on the ground. Rocks started to emerge from the ground. ”Ellia!”

Ellia, who was climbing the mountain, understood her assignment. She cut the rock at the bottom, causing the massive rocks to collapse downhill, smashing a few beasts.

After reaching the top, she sheathed her blade and channeled her power. ”Eva, ready to fly.”

Eva was confused about the request. It looked like Ellia was intending to cut the beasts, but she didn’t think Ellia was strong enough to injure the snake heavily.

Ellia inhaled deeply. She might only be rank 2, but she still believed in her sword techniques.

To take the first step forward in her pursuit of her strength, she further improved the way she handled her element.

Ellia drew her blade at lightning speed, unleashing a crescent-shaped sword wave toward the snake.

Some beasts that were in front of the snake tried to stop it, but failed. Ellia’s sword ended up slicing their bodies as her sword wave continued toward the snake.

The snake opened its mouth, ready to shatter it with its fangs.

But right before it hit the snake, the sword wave suddenly shattered into a few pieces.

”What? Did she not have enough power to attack the snake?” Eva was confused at first, but Ellia proved her wrong right after.

The broken sword waves weren’t the result of a lack of power. Instead, Ellia actually split the sword waves into twelve pieces, avoiding the snake entirely.

The sword waves ended up reappearing in front of other beasts. In total, she killed thirty beasts with this attack alone.

Eva widened her eyes in shock. She couldn’t believe it. The power of that sword wave wasn’t enough to defeat so many beasts, but Ellia’s proficiency allowed her to surpass that limit.

It created an opportunity for Eva to reach the top and finally take a look at the other rank 4 beast.

It was another ape, similar to the ape that had attacked them in the gorge.

Eva narrowed her eyes. Even though they had killed over a hundred beasts, there were still another fifty beasts around the snake. The rank 4 ape also brought over a hundred beasts.

It would take some time to defeat them, especially since they were running away.

”Let’s go!” Auric nodded to Katarina.

”Can you carry me while I concentrate? I will focus on forming my power while you carry me.” Katarina thought this was the only way. If she didn’t have to focus on watching for beasts or choosing paths while running, she could use that opportunity to focus on combining her power.

In this situation, Katarina indeed possessed the highest firepower.

So, Auric immediately picked her up like a princess as he descended the mountain.

Katarina was startled. ”I meant carry me on your back...”

”...” Auric’s eyebrows twitched. ”No time. Just do it.”

Katarina smiled awkwardly, but it looked like there was no other choice. She started releasing her power.

Auric and Katarina descended first. They could see a few corpses on the way as Vera and Eric opened up the path for them.

After twenty seconds, Eva and Ellia unleashed their respective attacks before they started running.

Auric moved in a way that Katarina wouldn’t be bothered even by a falling leaf. Fortunately, Eric and Vera worked exceptionally well together. They covered each other’s backs, allowing them to cut down all the beasts in their path.

Auric didn’t even encounter a single beast when he was running away.

He originally expected that he would have to stop a few beasts personally, but in this situation, he thought of another solution.

’Lindwurm. Can you go up there and search for a place that can serve as a fortified position? It’s fine even if that place only lasts for a minute or two. We will use the same tactic over and over again until we’ve taken them all down.’
