The Mecha Driver Is a Cultivator

The mecha hovered in the deep sea, while nearby, other Extraordinary Mechas continued to delve deeper. Qin Jin kept up, glancing at the extremely cold ice crystal in his hand, a thought flickered.

In that instant.

As the power shattered, the ice crystal burst apart and completely vanished, along with the remnants of the giant octopus’s flesh and blood. In Qin Jin’s hand, only a piece no larger than a fingertip remained.

It was a square creation, entirely black with unknown material. Compared to the vast body of the giant octopus, it seemed insignificant, which made it all the more peculiar.

The giant octopus looked quite terrifying, yet it was still a creature of flesh and blood, whereas this unknown object appeared not to be something that flesh and blood could produce.

Thoughts churned in his mind.

Qin Jin mused aloud, ”Candle Kite, inform the Pioneer Corps of my discovery through the mission program.”

”Yes.”

Candle Kite replied with full vigor, continued seconds later, ”The Pioneer Corps received the information and responded asking you to continue with the cleansing mission.”

”If you find more of these special creations, collect them. After the mission, they will send someone to contact you.”

Hearing this, Qin Jin nodded. In the grasp of the Azure Thunder Profound Halberd, frost surged again to seal it, and he continued to dive.

Fulfill your own duties.

Since the Pioneer Corps was aware of the matter, there would surely be arrangements and investigations.

The Azure Thunder Profound Halberd continued to descend.

As the depth increased, the number of Extraordinary Beasts hiding grew rapidly, and battles continued in the deep sea.

Qin Jin appeared to handle it with ease.

After slaying another deformed Exotic Beast, Qin Jin looked around and found the nearest mecha being besieged by several Exotic Beasts. Without hesitation, the Treasure Pearl on the Azure Thunder Profound Halberd’s chest spun, emitting beams of light that swept through the deep sea, freezing everything in its path, including the Exotic Beasts attacking that mecha.

With Qin Jin’s assistance, the battle became much easier, quickly resolved. Afterward, the pilot of the standard mecha waved towards Qin Jin in acknowledgment.

Mission specialists joining the Pioneer Corps’ mecha ranks could influence the coordination among the corps soldiers, so mission specialists were often in close areas, collaborating with one another.

In Qin Jin’s area, including him, there were four mechas in total, and during the battles, after killing the Exotic Beasts he faced, he also aided others.

Continuing to dive deeper, time passed.

After smashing a long, snake-like Exotic Beast with scales, the Azure Thunder Profound Halberd descended another hundred meters, and its feet landed on the seafloor.

He looked around.

Other mission specialists in the area also arrived there, judging from the light reflected from the mechas afar, this was the deepest point of the ocean, excluding some trenches. They had reached the final destination.

It was then.

The terminal quivered slightly, sending information through the mission program.

[You have completed the Exotic Beast cleansing mission]

[Task reward calculation in progress...]

Glancing over, Qin Jin withdrew his gaze. At this moment, the nearby communication channel carried a voice.

”This cleansing mission was easier than expected.”

”Guys, how about we have a meal together at the base? We’re comrades now, but we don’t even know each other’s names.”

”Sure.”

”Since it’s primarily executed by the Pioneer Corps, their combat zone was the real danger. We were just support, so it’s normal to be a bit relaxed.”

A voice, slightly cold yet full of enthusiasm, rang out.

Qin Jin also responded.

During the recent battle, they had cooperated effectively.

”Everyone, return to base.”

With a soft command in the communication channel, Qin Jin piloted the Azure Thunder Profound Halberd and started ascending.

At the same time.

In the depths of the sea, light reflected as mechas emerged, climbing upwards.

The mecha cluster was primarily composed of Pioneer Corps warriors, maintaining a similar speed to prevent unexpected incidents.

Just approximately hundreds of meters into the ascent.

Suddenly, from the depths, something seemed to explode with deafening roars in the deep sea. An incomparably terrifying shockwave surged from the abyss, spreading in all directions.

The suddenness of this shockwave was astounding. Raging through the deep sea, it scattered the ascending mecha cluster, driving them apart under the onslaught.

The scene momentarily fell into chaos.

Yet soon, on the public channel, a calm commanding voice sounded, ”Maintain stability, continue ascending.”

The shockwave stirred.

The first explosive roar seemed to be just the beginning. Amid this submarine cataclysm, the ocean floor churned violently; in a scenario akin to an underwater earthquake, a profound and enigmatic abyss appeared, leading to unknown places.

At its emergence.

The ocean currents swirled, and a vortex formed in the deep sea. As it rapidly expanded, it devoured everything around, generating endless suction power.

The remains of cleared Exotic Beasts, countless underwater reefs and rock faces, were swallowed within. Amid the gravitational pull, the ascending combat mechas were likewise constrained by the vortex’s suction, slowing their ascent as they struggled against it.

”This power...”
