Chapter 847: Oh Higher Being

Without another word, intent, mana, blood energy, and presence thundered into the cosmic sky in a destructive wave of power and pressure, as every single being present made their presence known. The cosmic heavens instantly churned into a cascade of impossible colors as countless forms of energy bled into the firmament. Suns were drowned beneath the overwhelming radiance; stars were snuffed out as though they were mere candles trembling before a storm.

”You dare to cross into our Arcanis Galaxy? It seems you feathered pigeons have grown far too tired of living,” a voice echoed, the tone so icy that the surrounding space seemed to freeze in response. Frost like cracks ran through the void itself.

”It doesn’t matter. Now that they are here, we shall simply wipe them out once and for all,” a man from the Aetherian race added, his voice flat yet brisk, as though stating a mundane fact rather than declaring the start of a galactic war.

Although they spoke with venom, none of them moved immediately. They weren’t fools. At this moment, the intruders from the Divinora Galaxy possessed not a single being below the planetary level. Meanwhile, the Arcanis Galaxy’s younger generation had not yet stepped into such a realm. If a battle erupted now, the younger generation would be slaughtered instantly, and none among the elders could fight freely while simultaneously protecting them.

But none panicked. They had come prepared. Nobody would leave their homeworld to attend a meeting of such importance without contingency plans. Every race, every force, every ancient family had preparations in place long before stepping into this battlefield.

One of the Eleven Winged Angels floated forward, his wings glowing with a divine radiance that illuminated the void. ”Oh lower beings,” he began, his voice warm yet chillingly condescending, ”we have come in peace to your Arcanis Galaxy for your salvation. The Demon race runs amok through your worlds. We are your hope, your light, your path. We shall welcome you into our homes. You shall become our brothers, our sisters. We shall be one. We shall all serve HIM.”

Silence fell.

They were simply rendered speechless. For 99.99% of those present from the Arcanis Galaxy, this was their first encounter with an Angel. None of them could believe what they had just heard, they had been called lower beings.

Their hope? Their light? Their path?

How laughable.

”Sometimes I wonder if you think we are fools like those from your precious Divinora Galaxy,” the Overseer finally spoke. Madness rippled beneath his tone, unhidden and unrestrained. As a man who worshiped battle and reveled in bloodshed, this unexpected twist delighted him.

”You altered the third Tear at the last moment just so you could inflict heavy damage with the explosion. And those who survived with grave injuries, you intended to wipe them out afterward.” A grin carved itself across his face.

”You misunderstand, oh lower being,” another Eleven Winged Angel replied, his halo blazing brighter. ”We believed the Demon race was interfering with your salvation and came only to purge them. We come in peace, oh lost child. Embrace HIM, so you may be loved.”

His voice was soft, tender, almost heartbreakingly gentle, an intonation that could warm the heart of even the cruelest tyrant or the vilest sinner. But the warriors of the Arcanis Galaxy were unmoved. If there was one thing they rejected above all else, it was the concept of Godhood. To them, a god was nothing more than a being with higher cultivation and greater power. Even a mortal at the S mana rank could journey to a primitive world devoid of cultivation and become their god overnight.

”I must say,” the Overseer responded, voice dripping with sarcasm, ”you sound like someone who practiced that in the mirror... oh higher being.”

The Angel’s expression cracked. For a brief moment, it was as though the Overseer had exposed a deeply personal secret.

”All who reject HIM can only be saved through death,” another Eleven Winged Angel proclaimed coldly. ”In your deaths, you shall come to love HE that welcomes you.”

At those words, every trace of angelic warmth vanished from their faces. Their smiles evaporated, replaced instantly with deep, unfiltered disdain. They dropped their divine facade, revealing the raw fanaticism and contempt simmering beneath their skin. Around them, the other Divinora races, who had remained obediently silent while the Angels spoke, unleashed their killing intent the moment the Angels allowed aggression.

In response, the Arcanis Galaxy moved.

Telepathic messages surged like lightning across the battlefield. Commands were issued without hesitation. The younger generation obeyed immediately, each taking out a talisman or artifact specifically prepared for emergencies. Upon activation, they vanished one after another, disappearing from the battlefield with streaks of light.

But six remained, Anthony, Lucian, Aaaninja, Aura, Kingsley, and Vega. They did not run. They did not hide. Instead, they smiled, their expressions calm, fierce, and utterly unshaken as they stared into the ranks of planetary level invaders.

Seeing that the younger generation had retreated, the elders of the Arcanis Galaxy answered with their own fury.

Killing intent surged like an ocean released from a shattered dam. It pulsed outward with calamitous force, slamming into the Divinora invaders’ killing intent. Faith energy collided with mana energy, blood energy, and countless other cosmic forces. The pressure mounted with every passing heartbeat.

Sparks of unstable cosmic light exploded across the void as the energies clashed, forming temporary stars that burned out in the span of a breath. The very fabric of the cosmic air screamed. Space shuddered violently, tension stretching thin like the taut string of a bow drawn to its absolute limit.

At this moment, the Arcanis Galaxy stood united.

Though they hated one another due to racial pride, ancient grudges, and the countless divisions scattered across their history, none of that mattered now. When an external threat invaded their home, they fought as one. Even if this wasn’t the full force of the Divinora Galaxy, especially since the fabled Twelve Winged Angels had not appeared, it did not matter.

They would set an example with the feathered intruders standing before them.

The silence that had stretched across the cosmos finally shattered. And battle loomed.
