Chapter 838: To The Tear

Riven and Vespera Darkheart’s eyes shifted toward their son, Lucian Darkheart, who had likewise reached the Planetary level. Lucian sat with the calm, unbothered expression of someone entirely accustomed to his own extraordinary abilities. Without warning, he turned his gaze toward Aaaninja and asked, his tone calm but genuinely curious, ”How strong was the Angel?”

Aaaninja tilted his head slightly toward Lucian before responding, his voice flat, as if discussing an ordinary matter. ”If they are at that level... then they are here to get slaughtered.” He had dispatched the Angel in only a handful of blows; the encounter had hardly challenged him.

Lucian shook his head slowly, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips. ”You forget not everyone is as talented, or as strong, as us,” he said, his voice carrying both amusement and a subtle warning.

”True,” Aaaninja replied without emotion, ”but whatever. I’m looking forward to their invasion. I have some new abilities I want to test out.”

Before Lucian could respond, Aura interjected, her voice calm yet tinged with curiosity. ”Time based abilities, huh?”

Aaaninja turned his head toward her and gave a small nod.

”Everyone here knows each other’s abilities, but yours remains a mystery,” he remarked, his expression unreadable. ”Care to share?”

Normally, he wouldn’t ask. He would simply spy into the River Of Time itself, observing without needing permission. He had attempted this before, and failed, miserably. The same had occurred with Anthony, Kingsley, Lucian, and Vega; he had learned that Anthony could control when and how his abilities could be observed.

Aura smiled faintly, her eyes reflecting a spark of amusement. ”That would be boring, don’t you think?” she said softly. ”With the Galactical war looming, I’m sure you’ll have ample time to observe and analyze my ability.” She paused, letting her words linger in the tense air, before adding, almost playfully, ”Although I suspect you might not have to wait that long.”

”Boring,” Lucian Darkheart murmured from the side, turning away as if he had lost interest entirely.

Aaaninja merely nodded, acknowledging her words, then refocused his attention on the meeting at hand.

Anthony, Lucian, Aura, and Charles could feel the weight of countless gazes on them. The Older Generation observed them from the corners of their eyes, attempting to gauge the significance of their power. If Aaaninja had achieved the Planetary level, what did that imply about these four?

None of them reacted outwardly. They remained composed, calm, their expressions betraying nothing.

”This has gotten out of hand,” someone muttered from the assembly.

”Indeed,” another agreed. ”We need to close the tear in space immediately. Who knows how many forces they already have stationed here? Besides, who knows if they have the means to summon themselves across Galaxies through artifacts or ancient space formations?” The words drew frowns from many in the room.

The statement was accurate. No one knew whether their enemies already had contingencies in place, means to bring reinforcements without needing the tear in reality at all.

”We have to act now. We cannot afford to waste any more time,” another voice added, urgent and firm.

The Overseer sighed, his expression flat and serious. ”Very well,” he said. ”I will open a portal to the outer periphery of the tear in reality. However, each of you is responsible for your own Younger Generation. You may decide whether to leave them behind or bring them along.”

Everyone nodded in understanding; there was no need for further explanation. With their silent agreement, the Overseer turned and waved his hand. The screen projection vanished instantly. His mana pulsed into the air in a blinding torrent of energy, flooding the space. Void and Space themselves quivered, bending under the weight of his will as he opened millions of portals within mere seconds. A single portal, or even hundreds, would not suffice for the countless people assembled here.

”Let’s move,” he said, his face expressionless, his tone calm but authoritative.

Instantly, those from the Younger Generation surged toward the Older Generation. The older members would not leave their charges behind.

Presences blazed. Various energies intertwined, mana, aura, intent, blood energy, all combined as different individuals shrouded their Younger Generation in protective layers before stepping into the void of the Galaxy.

Anthony, Vega, and Kingsley arrived , followed before the First and Third Supreme Monarchs, Collins, Michael, and Mitchelle. Mitchelle’s mana pulsed gently, radiating outward, reaching toward Kingsley and Vega as if to offer additional protection.

”It’s alright, Mom,” Anthony said casually, a small smile gracing his face. ”They don’t need it.” His words halted Mitchelle in her movements, and everyone on their team turned their eyes toward Vega and Kingsley, who hovered in the air, poised and ready.

Vega smiled at Michael, Collins, and Mitchelle, her tone confident. ”I’m not at the Apexus rank yet, but my battle prowess is already there. I didn’t need the extra support,” she clarified. Her words caused confusion among the five seasoned veterans. They had reviewed Vega’s military file, it hadn’t even been a year, and now she claimed to have reached the Planetary level.

At the same time, it was Klaus’s daughter they were speaking of. It would seem incongruous if this Time-based Celestial could reach Planetary level while Klaus’s daughter could not. Their eyes shifted to Kingsley, the military’s enigmatic prodigy. Kingsley simply nodded in their direction, wordless, conveying more than any explanation could.

They had read his file. They knew his capabilities. Yet they had not anticipated this sudden leap to the Planetary level.

’Is the Planetary level something anyone can now reach?’ The Third Supreme Monarch thought, recalling the hardships he had endured to achieve his own power. And now, it seemed, others were attaining it with relative ease.

”It seems you’ve assembled the perfect team,” Michael remarked with a smile. ”I doubt any other Younger Generation team here includes three Planetary level beings.”

”It’s nothing to be proud of, Father,” Anthony replied, shaking his head. ”Many from the Younger Generation will reach this level eventually.” Though he said ”eventually,” he knew it would take at least ten decades for most to get there.

Collins simply smiled at Anthony, Vega, and Kingsley. ”Then let us move. We are ready.”

Everyone nodded in agreement. Without hesitation, they each selected a portal and stepped through. In an instant, the hall was empty, the assembly vanished into the void of the Galaxy, their forms swallowed by the vastness of space and the innumerable pathways the portals had opened.
