MIGHT AS WELL BE OP

Chapter 583: Slap-2

The vampire’s senses tingled as he detected something, no, someone, behind him. He couldn’t comprehend how Anthony had arrived at that location before him, or how Anthony had even known that he was going to teleport there.

“As a Warlord, aren’t you a bit too weak?” Anthony’s voice echoed once again in his ears.

Before the man could move, Anthony continued, his tone cool and laced with casual curiosity.

“Thinking of teleporting to one of your blood location?”

‘He knows about my ability,’ the man thought, stunned.

The moment the three-second limit imposed by Anthony’s Sense Dome passed, the vampire reacted instantly. A gauntlet materialized on his arm, and his claws shot forward with terrifying speed, aiming straight for Anthony’s eyes.

But Anthony didn’t move.

The world shifted in his perception. Countless glowing threads burst forth from the vampire’s body, strands of possibility and causality. Anthony calmly selected the thread that anchored the vampire’s gauntlet, and severed it.

Before the vampire’s claws could even graze his target, the gauntlet exploded violently, as if a bomb had detonated from within.

Still, the vampire remained undeterred. He shot into the air in a blur, vanishing from sight for a moment before reappearing at a different location in the sky. His blood swirled rapidly as dozens of blood clones materialized around him, each identical in size and aura.

At that moment, Anthony’s teammates appeared on the aircraft’s roof, brought there with Clement’s assistance. The instant their eyes landed on the man, their expressions darkened.

He wore a Warlord military uniform, an unmistakable symbol of high rank and status. Why would someone from the military be attacking them? Confusion flickered across their faces, but they knew better than to interfere.

Not one of them could contend with a Warlord. Whether it was mana, physical strength, technique, or battle experience, they were outmatched in every aspect.

Sensing their presence behind him, Anthony spoke with mild amusement. “Don’t interfere. I have a few new abilities to test out on this blood-sucking mosquito.”

Indeed, Anthony was here to test the limits of his newly awakened, limit broken abilities.

With a mere thought, the blood attacks that had lingered near him shattered into pieces and dissolved from existence. Anthony wasn’t going to take the risk of one of those attacks targeting his teammates now that they were all exposed on the roof.

The vampire and his numerous clones simultaneously raised their hands toward the sky. Mana surged violently as red energy pulsed like a heartbeat. The blood-red hue stained the night as though the moon itself had been dipped in crimson.

Across the region, people of various races looked on in shock and unease as the once dark-blue sky turned red, a warning of something ominous about to unfold.

Blood coalesced in the sky above, forming an enormous ocean that loomed over them like an impending doom.

“DIE, BRAT!” the vampire and all his clones spoke in unison.

Blood Explosion

The blood ocean ignited, flashing a deep red before detonating with unimaginable force. The blast threatened to consume everything. Space cracked, clouds evaporated, and the heavens themselves trembled as though raging in fury. The explosion stretched across hundreds of kilometers, devastation bleeding across the sky as if the very stars would fall.

Anthony’s teammates didn’t even try to defend themselves. They knew better. What could they do against a Warlord’s ultimate attack? They simply trusted in Anthony, the only person who could withstand such an onslaught.

Anthony, too, understood the vampire’s strategy. Since he could block physical and magical attacks, the vampire had gambled on a massive explosion, something chaotic and wide-ranging that might bypass the defenses of Infinity.

‘A clever strategy… but futile all the same,’

Anthony thought.

He expanded Infinity, shielding the aircraft and his team from harm. There was no way he was letting his new aircraft be destroyed that easily.

A vast blood-red fog now covered the sky, replacing the clouds as it drifted in slow, toxic waves. But just as suddenly, a fierce gust of wind surged, and the entire fog was blown away, vanished, as though it had never existed.

And there stood Anthony, unscathed.

Not a single scratch marred his figure. His posture was relaxed, his expression calm, and a small, amused smile lingered on his lips.

Beside him, his teammates watched in stunned silence, unable to process what they were seeing. The destruction around them was on a scale they couldn’t comprehend. Yet Anthony stood in its center as if nothing had happened.

Their minds drifted back to the time Anthony had casually told them he had won a sparring match against Warlord Raelith. At the time, most of them hadn’t taken it seriously. But now, their eyes confirmed what their ears had once dismissed.

Anthony hadn’t been joking.

“As I said… as a Warlord, you’re simply too weak,” Anthony remarked, shaking his head, his tone relaxed and unimpressed.

Everyone’s lips twitched at the casual arrogance in his voice.

Too weak?

Only Anthony could say something like that. It wasn’t that the Warlord was weak, it was simply that Anthony was a monster.

Then, in an instant, the world around them froze. Anthony had activated Sense Dome again, freezing everything within it with nothing but a thought.

With a hiss, he unsheathed his katana halfway from its scabbard… and then gently sheathed it again, all in one seamless, graceful motion.

Motion resumed.

All that could be heard was the soft clack of the blade sliding back into its sheath.

The next moment, the hundreds of blood clones were diced into thousands of fragments. Their forms flickered and dissolved into nothingness.

‘I have to leave and inform Father,’ the vampire thought grimly. He had lost every exchange with Anthony, yet his mental state remained composed. He was already planning his escape.

But before he could act, Anthony was suddenly behind him, his voice dangerously soft.

“Planning to run?”

Another crisp slap cracked across the sky, echoing in every direction.

The vampire was struck with such force that his body was hurled from the sky like a meteor. He crashed into the earth below with a seismic boom. The ground erupted beneath him, a massive sinkhole forming as the vampire was driven deep into the earth.

Anthony’s teammates swallowed hard.

He had done all this with a slap.

Not a punch.

A slap.

Ever since Anthony’s mana and human bloodline breakthrough, his physical strength had become downright absurd. Now, he was a Perfect Human, a being only a step below a Primordial Human.

Anthony floated gently downward, his feet touching the earth with a feather-like grace.

The vampire staggered back to his feet, disoriented. His lips and cheek, which had burst open from the slap, were already healed.

“Kneel,” Anthony commanded.

Instantly, the vampire dropped to his knees, his body no longer under his control. Anthony had severed his ankles using Authority of Severance.

“Now… let’s see what information you have, Mr. Fake Warlord,” Anthony said, his piercing blue eyes locking with the vampire’s red ones.
