Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 674: The Nexus Physique?

After the battle finally came to an end, Grey looked around at everyone who had come to his rescue.

The sight of his friends and family standing together made him smile.

After everything that had happened, Grey thanked everyone for coming to his aid before finally preparing to leave.

Grey returned to the Nexus Domain.

The moment they arrived, Grey was greeted by familiar faces.

After spending some time with his family and friends, Grey quickly realized that things had changed considerably during his absence.

Everyone had become stronger.

Some had improved by only a small amount, while others had undergone tremendous growth.

However, among all of them, one person stood out the most.

Alissa.

”You’ve gotten this stronger now Alissa.”

”Of course. Did you think everyone would just sit around and wait for you to come back?”

Hearing this, Grey couldn’t help but laugh.

”You’ve certainly changed.”

While Grey continued speaking with everyone, however, he noticed that Ouroboros had been staring at him strangely for quite some time.

Seeing her strange expression, Grey turned toward her.

”What?”

Ouroboros narrowed her eyes.

”You are getting strong far too quickly.”

Grey raised an eyebrow.

”And?”

”And your growth is directly affecting the girls around you as well.”

Hearing this, Grey immediately shook his head.

”That’s not because of me. They’re getting stronger because of their own hard work.”

Ouroboros stared at him for a few seconds before casually shrugging.

”Think whatever you want. I don’t really care.”

After saying this, she glanced toward the others.

”But your influence is definitely helping everyone improve much faster.”

Grey frowned slightly.

He wasn’t entirely convinced.

However, instead of arguing further, Grey’s attention shifted toward Valeria.

Unlike the others, Valeria’s growth had been considerably slower.

”Speaking of which, what about Valeria?”

Grey looked toward her.

”Despite everything, she’s still only at the Seventh Rank.”

”That’s because she’s missing something.” Ouroboros answered immediately.

Grey raised an eyebrow at her words. ”Missing something?”

”Yes.” Ouroboros nodded with a thoughtful look on her face.

”Valeria isn’t ordinary.”

She paused for a moment before continuing.

”If I’m not mistaken, she possesses an enormous fate.”

Grey’s expression slowly became serious.

”An enormous fate?”

Ouroboros nodded.

”Something similar to my daughter.”

Her eyes then shifted toward Alissa.

”And even the God Empress.”

”And even that AI of yours.”

Hearing this, Grey fell silent.

”I might know what she’s missing.” She added.

”You do?”

”Perhaps.”

Ouroboros then turned toward the distance.

”I’m going to visit the True Source World for a while.”

”Is that so?” Grey raised an eyebrow.

The True Source World existed at a level even higher than the Higher Realm and it was a place he couldn’t easily access.

Ouroboros then looked back at him.

”If you want, I can take a small fragment of you with me.”

Grey’s eyes narrowed.

”A fragment?”

”Your true self cannot perceive or enter that world yet.”

”You’re simply not strong enough yet. However, I can take a small fragment of your existence there and allow you to experience part of it.”

She then smiled slightly.

”When I’m going to enter the True Source World yourself, I’ll let you know.”

”And when that happens, I want you to copy the True Source Phoenix’s Race.”

”Valeria needs to be a True Source Phoenix to truly unlock her potential.”

Grey thought about it for a moment.

If what she said was true then Valeria will finally have a chance to climb ranks faster. He liked her very much and wanted the best for her. Naturally, he will get her the Race if it will unlock her potential.

”Alright. I’ll leave it to you.”

Ouroboros nodded.

”Good.”

Before they parted, however, Grey suddenly remembered something.

”I’ve decided to finally change my race.”

Ouroboros looked at him.

”The Race you told me about while I was teaching you and Alissa infinity power?”

Grey nodded.

”I’ve suppressed it for long enough. I think it’s finally time I made the transition.”

”If anything happens, I hope you can control it.”

Hearing this, Ouroboros simply shrugged.

”Go for it.”

”Thanks.” Grey nodded.

”Also, I want to speak with Aria.” Ouroboros spoke as she eyed Aria.

”Sure.” Grey glanced at Aria who nodded at him.

With that, Grey left the two of them behind and moved toward another part of the Nexus Domain.

He needed to prepare himself.

He had suppressed the evolution of his Nexus Race for long enough.

Now, it was finally time.

Grey closed his eyes.

As he focused his mind, the Nexus Energy in his source began responding to his existence.

BOOM!

An enormous wave of Nexus Energy erupted around Grey.

The energy instantly covered his entire body, forming a massive vortex that continuously expanded outward.

As the Nexus Energy gathered, the surrounding reality began trembling.

Black and white colors repeatedly flashed across the world.

The very laws of reality began distorting.

Soon, time itself froze.

Everything within the surrounding space came to a complete standstill.

The flowing energy stopped.

The distant stars stopped moving.

Even the smallest particles in the air became motionless.

At the exact moment Grey’s transformation began, a gigantic Nexus Symbol appeared around his body.

It slowly expanded until it covered the surrounding space.

Grey could feel something changing within him.

His Fateless Physique began trembling.

Then the Nexus Energy poured directly into his Fateless Physique.

BOOM!

The entire physique suddenly detonated.

Grey’s expression remained calm as his existence was torn apart and reconstructed at the same time.

His Fateless Physique was completely destroyed.

Then, it began reforming.

As the transformation continued, even Grey’s Source became unstable.

For a brief moment, his Source became completely distorted.

It twisted and tangled upon itself, almost resembling an impossible mass of spaghetti as Grey’s existence repeatedly glitched between different states.

One moment, his Source existed in one form.

The next moment, it was something completely different.

Then another explosion occurred.

BOOM!

The distortion suddenly disappeared.

Grey’s Source began changing shape.

As the transformation progressed, the countless strands of his existence gradually converged toward a single form.

It was a Symbol.

The Nexus Symbol.

His Source slowly took its shape.

At the same time, Grey’s physical body began materializing once again.

Everything gradually reconstructed itself.

When the transformation finally stabilized, Grey looked almost identical to his previous appearance.

There was, however, one obvious difference.

His hair had changed.

It was now completely black, while the inner layers carried a deep purple color that became visible whenever his hair shifted.

Grey remained motionless for a moment.

Then, slowly, he opened his eyes.

The instant his eyes opened, everything before him froze.

Space and reality stopped at once..

Even the flow of time itself seemed to halt before his gaze.

After a brief moment, everything suddenly resumed.

The world continued moving as if nothing had happened.

Grey slowly looked around.

”So this is the Nexus Race.”

His voice was still unmistakably his own.

However, after hearing himself speak, Grey noticed something different.

His voice sounded deeper.

There was also a strange weight behind every word he spoke, as though his existence itself was being conveyed through his voice.

Yet Grey wasn’t interested in that.

His attention immediately shifted toward his own body.

More specifically, toward his Fateless Physique.

”It completely changed.”

As Grey examined himself, genuine disbelief appeared in his eyes.

The very nature of the physique had been altered.

Meanwhile, several people who had been watching Grey’s transformation were experiencing something entirely different.

None of them could properly explain what they were sensing.

Something about Grey’s existence itself had changed.

As Lia continued staring, her golden aura instinctively flickered.

She immediately felt an invisible pressure pressing against her existence.

Even though she didn’t want to admit it, her God Core was instinctively reacting to Grey.

Alissa experienced the same thing.

Despite her current strength, she felt as though something fundamental within her was being suppressed simply because Grey was standing nearby.

Her expression became increasingly serious.

Lyris and others, however, had the hardest time understanding what they were feeling.

Seeing Grey standing there, they couldn’t even find the proper words to describe his existence.

It felt as though Grey had become something fundamentally different from them.

Something that naturally stood above their existence.

Not because of a higher evolutionary stage.

But because his very existence had changed into something they could no longer completely comprehend.

As the they continued staring at him, Grey remained completely unaware of their reactions.

He was still examining himself.

His attention remained focused on the transformation of his Fateless Physique.

”This is...”

Grey slowly clenched his fist.

He could feel the Nexus Axiom Energy flowing through every part of his existence.

Yet what he felt right now was unmistakably Fate Power coursing through his existence.

Grey was dumbfounded. He was supposed to be Fateless yet how come he had fate within him now?

This can only mean one thing and that was the Nexus Race transforming the physique.

He wished for the fate to disappear and yet again, he became fateless.

It wasn’t just limited to having Fate and No Fate. There were much more applications to it that he didn’t understand.

But he knew he could no longer call it a Fateless One Physique. Rather it should be called the Nexus Physique.
