Lust System: Harem Of Beautiful Women

Chapter 567  Delphi Company

Hail thought about it for just a moment before he laughed and said, ”Itʼs just a tiny bit of petty profit. If youʼre willing to accept it, theyʼll finally feel at ease. Donʼt refuse now, or itʼll make people nervous and my job will be harder to do.”

”But accepting it directly would be a bit strange. I donʼt think theyʼd dare try any tricks, but if you want to avoid trouble, there is a way.”

”It just so happens that their recent fighting has been getting a bit out of hand. A little warning might be good for them.”

Following Hailʼs instructions, Luis went to the cityʼs judicial auction house on Friday morning.

When he arrived, Luis was stunned. The room was full of familiar faces. There was one of Dominicʼs younger brothers, along with a few people from Tiger Real Estate.

There was Leon, Aunt Kiara, and some others who seemed very close to them, likely all from the Leon family.

The most eye-catching person there, however, was Nina. Nina was dressed in a stylish white pantsuit, looking elegant and sophisticated. With a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, she exuded the cool, captivating beauty of a mature woman.

She was a stunning creature with a flawless face and figure, and with just a little dressing up, she captured the gaze of every man in the room. The pencil skirt combined with the white stockings on her legs created a fresh and alluringly sexy style.

At the same time, her beauty felt unattainable, giving off an aura that kept people at a distance. The seats near her were completely empty.

When she saw Luis arrive, she was momentarily surprised, then a charming smile bloomed on her face as she waved him over.

Luis didnʼt stand on ceremony. He walked over, sat down, and immediately placed his hand on her thigh, covered in white stockings, saying with a lecherous grin, ”Why did you come alone? Not out and about with your other half?”

”Oh, sheʼs incredibly busy. Sheʼs been feeling a bit unwell the last couple of days and needs to rest.”

Nina didnʼt mind this intimate gesture in such a public place. Instead, she leaned against Luisʼs shoulder and said with a seductive smile, ”Right now, youʼre my other half.”

Then, she couldnʼt help but ask, ”By the way, why are you here?”

She wasnʼt asking for any particular reason; she just felt that someone of Luisʼs status should be above getting involved in such mundane affairs.

”Itʼs the same reason as you all,” Luis said without hesitation, pulling her closer.

Nina hesitated for a moment, then suddenly laughed freely. ”Is that so? Well then, Iʼll just gracefully concede and enjoy the show.”

The judicial auction began shortly after. It started with some foreclosed storefronts and properties. There werenʼt many bidders, and the lots sold after just a few raises.

Luis hadnʼt really understood the nature of these auctions before. He knew that ordinary people rarely got a chance at such deals, which was why they werenʼt very well-known.

The bidding at the start wasnʼt intense, not until the fifth item came up.

The bidding at the start wasnʼt intense, not until the fifth item came up.

”Delphi Business Consulting Company...”

The auctioneer began his introduction. It was actually unnecessary; anyone who had paid the entry fee had a full set of documents. However, those documents were professional, complicated, and extremely long.

They were as long and tedious as an old womanʼs foot-binding cloth. Luis took one look at them and felt like he was reading an astronomical text, his head spinning.

Hail had said that Dominic and the Leon family wouldnʼt dare pull any tricks, and Hail himself had even less reason or nerve to do so. So Luis simply didnʼt bother reading them. Why worry about it?

”Delphi Business Consulting Company, no fixed assets. Starting bid for the business and debt entity is 500 dollars.”

”Please bid enthusiastically.”

As soon as the auctioneer finished speaking, the room split into two distinct camps.

The people who had come for the properties and assets yawned, showing absolutely no interest. Even a fool knew how murky the waters were with something like this.

They were almost all connected insiders, able to get a small perk from buying real estate. If they didnʼt have that kind of pull, why would they be here?

10:45

But a company like this, one with only business operations, was different. Generally speaking, unless you had a specific reason, who would touch this kind of thing?

To put it bluntly, no one would buy it, no matter how cheap, unless you had the ability to find a bargain within it.

Otherwise, it was a bottomless pit. If you couldnʼt handle the business or the connections, you might even end up saddled with a bunch of inexplicable debts. So the only people who dared to touch companies like this were the big players.

These connected insiders were surprised to find that there were quite a few such big players present today.

Even though they had a general idea among themselves, there were still many strangers today who hadnʼt bid on anything before. It was clear they were all here for this Delphi company.

These people were making quiet phone calls and whispering among themselves, instantly creating an atmosphere of anticipation, as if they were about to witness a juicy piece of gossip or a family feud.

Since they had done a little homework before coming, they knew this was a shell company involving Tiger Real Estate and the Taiga and Leon families. Logically speaking, in the world of business, this worthless shell company was useless.

The insiders were excited, just waiting to see the drama unfold.

Besides the Taiga and Leon families, there were other shareholders. Truth be told, Luis didnʼt recognize a single one of them.

But they all knew Nina. Some had also seen Luisʼs face before but werenʼt sure. Seeing this guy sitting next to Nina shocked them all.

Even more shocking was that his hand was actually stroking Ninaʼs thigh. She was a prize that countless men coveted, an elf-princess-like beauty that every man had surely desired.

The only reason they hadnʼt dared to make a move was because Bella was a known lunatic, and also because Nina herself wasnʼt interested in men.

Leaving aside the consequences of offending that madwoman Bella, Nina had never been friendly to men. Facing such a cold, hard wall, naturally no one wanted to be the one to kick it. After all, compared to women, one had to consider real-world interests.

Now, for this guy to act so brazenly, and for Nina to be chatting and laughing so seductively, it took almost no brainpower to figure out who he was.

This was the man who hadnʼt been interested in joining the conflict, yet had forced both the Taiga and Leon families to back down... With that kind of weight behind him, even if Nina was just playing along, it was understandable.

The atmosphere in the room instantly became a bit awkward. The group that had arrived so aggressively looked at each other in dismay. After the auctioneer finished speaking, no one dared to speak or raise a hand.

It was almost a helpless, unspoken agreement; everyone was secretly watching Luis.

With the beautiful woman in his arms, Luis held Nina tighter and directly raised his hand, calling out, ”If no one wants it, how about 510 dollars?”

The auctioneer was dumbfounded, and the insiders watching the spectacle were even more silent.

”That price... is a bit low, isnʼt it?” Nina couldnʼt help but murmur.

The nature of this shell company was actually quite simple. Back when the Taiga and Leon families founded Tiger Real Estate, in order to prepare for going public, they needed to strip away some of their non-standard business practices and debts.

They had consolidated all of these into this newly established, dedicated purpose company. The businesses and debts involved also included some ambiguous and unclear matters between the company and individuals.

Simply put, it was a garbage can. On the cusp of going public, all unfavorable factors were tossed into this company.

Logically, if the IPO had succeeded, this would have been the skeleton upon which a empire was built, a stain that no one would ever mention.

But now that the IPO had failed, these many stains within it could be turned into powerful ammunition.
