Lust System: Harem Of Beautiful Women

Chapter 284: Taiga And Leon Family Conflict

The fairy sister in law had also moved back home. The biggest reason was still her guilty conscience, compounded by the fact that her father in law Darlan said the second hand BMW would be directly registered under Nancy’s name as a form of compensation.

The sister in law had to save face for him. No matter how second hand, it was still a BMW after all. Though, having gotten used to driving the Cayenne, she seemed a bit restless.

Luis also arrived at Tiger Real Estate Group early in the morning. He no longer cared about that small amount of money.

What interested Luis was whether that instance quest could be successfully restarted.

Right after clocking in, security captain Virga came over, rolling his eyes, and said, ”Go change into work uniform first.”

”Okay!” After allocating attribute points to physical strength, his body had become more muscular, making the old uniform feel a bit tight.

After changing, Luis went to the desk.

He noticed early in the morning that the team had been completely replaced. Virga sat in the seat yawning. Once work hours started, he gathered the team members for a meeting.

The task assignment was very simple. A high ranking leader was coming for an inspection early the next morning.

At that time, the CEOs of all the companies under the group would come to welcome them. With so many people around, security measures needed to be fully implemented to prevent the Leon family from seizing the opportunity to cause trouble.

During lunch in the cafeteria, Luis specifically asked the captain to eat with him, privately ordering several extra dishes as a gesture of courtesy.

Virga nodded in satisfaction, looking pleased with his initiative, and said, ”Don’t worry, after we’re done tomorrow, you can get your salary and bonus. If you want to resign then, it’ll be approved instantly. I’ve already sorted it out.”

Munching on the delicious food, Virga added, ”But it’s a bit of a shame you’re resigning. You made a big contribution last time. Our President even praised you personally.”

”If you don’t want to be a accountant, you could apply for other positions or companies. With President’s endorsement, you definitely have a bright future ahead.”

As the longstanding leading enterprise in the city, Boss could be described as a figure with extensive connections, operating in both legitimate and underworld circles. To ordinary civilians, he was an untouchable, powerful figure.

”We’ll see. I have my own things to do.” Luis asked with a gossipy tone, ”Captain, you said a big leader is coming for an inspection. Why is everyone acting like they’re facing a formidable enemy?”

”You don’t get it, members of the Leon family will be there too, and I’m telling you, our corporation is about to face a major upheaval.”

Both the Taiga family and the Leon family are considered old, established local clans in this city. Back in the day, their alliance through marriage was a glorious occasion. With multiple projects under the Tiger Group operating simultaneously, it practically became the industry leader overnight.

But ten years ago, after the old master of the Leon family passed away, the already small Leon family had no one capable enough to step up and take charge.

Vincent seized the opportunity to swallow up a portion of the shares and several of the group’s already established and profitable projects, dealing a devastating blow to the Leon family’s vitality. The Tiger Group effectively became Dominic’s personal dictatorship.

”And the Leon family is just fine with that?” Luis pressed further.

When it comes to gossip, your own people know best. Virga chuckled and said, ”Of course they’re not fine with it. The Leon family isn’t one to take things lying down either. Let me tell you something, and you’ll understand. You know about the Central Garden project, right?”

”Nonsense!” Luis rolled his eyes. He currently lived in Central Garden himself.

Central Garden was originally a project developed by Tiger Real Estate. During phases one and two, the Taiga and Leon families were in their honeymoon period. But when phase three was just being planned, that was when Dominic turned his back and refused to acknowledge their agreement.

The Leon family wasn’t a pushover either. They had made some small profits from the first two phases, but the majority of the profits were taken by the Taiga family, who had started out in the construction business.

The third phase was a villa district, planning to build twenty villas. You could say the sales from phase three were almost pure profit.

This juicy piece of meat was naturally something everyone had their eyes on.

Dominic was aggressive and domineering, but the Leon family wouldn’t just let him push them around. So they used their connections to create obstacles, constantly hindering the project’s progress and the inspection and acceptance phases, not to mention.

The pre-sale permit for the off-plan units also kept getting delayed. Besides that, there were plenty of shady accounts involving the property management side too.

Virga tutted with feeling. ”When the boss and the boss’s wife tear into each other, it’s not as simple as some domestic squabble ending in divorce. It’s a conflict and clash between two entire families.”

”It wasn’t just Tiger Real Estate’s Central Garden project. Almost every single project was affected, with each side undermining and tripping the other up.”

”Just from what I know, the Leon family’s hotel was targeted multiple times, and the Taiga family’s construction projects suffered terribly too.”

It wasn’t just business tactics. The Taiga and Leon families were fighting a bitter, no-holds-barred battle, with at least several dozen lawsuits filed against each other, not to mention.

The Leon family’s eldest son was reported for duty-related crimes and ended up inside. Several people from the Taiga family also got imprisoned for issues like taxes. The way things were going, it felt like they were ready to drag each other down to mutual destruction.

With the way they were carrying on, the Tiger Group was already falling apart at the seams. If this continued, bankruptcy would be the only path left.

”However you look at it, if this keeps up, the Tiger Group is going to go bankrupt.” Luis couldn’t help but shake his head as he listened.

”Exactly!” Virga clicked his tongue. ”Originally, the two families merged their resources to form the Tiger Group to make a push for going public. Who’d have thought the IPO wouldn’t succeed, and both families would end up looking disgraced and barely clinging to life?”

”After causing such a huge mess, the big leader still came to inspect?” Luis couldn’t help but ask.

Virga gave a sly smile. ”Because it was precisely that leader’s support back then that allowed the Tiger Group’s business to flourish after its establishment, making it a multi-faceted local leader.”

Luis handed him a cigarette, lit it for him, and said, ”Seeing the Tiger Group in this state, that leader must be absolutely furious, right?”

”Of course. I heard he was absolutely livid with rage.” Virga lowered his voice. ”I heard that leader has a shocking background. He was promoted to the capital a long time ago.

This trip back was specifically to mediate the conflict between the two families. If that really doesn’t work, he’ll just split the Tiger Group apart.”

”But he’s not even stationed here anymore. Can he still call the shots?” Luis couldn’t help but ask. He understood the principle that a higher-ranking official from afar isn’t as effective as the immediate manager on site.

”The guy is incredibly powerful. Without him, the Taiga and Leon families wouldn’t have their current wealth and scale. To put it nicely, this big leader is their benefactor, their noble patron.

To put it bluntly, he’s in an even higher and more powerful position now. Who would dare not listen to him... Hah!”

The feuds and dramatic scandals among wealthy families are endless. To think it escalated to the point of sending each other’s people to jail—it really is a fight to the death.

When you get down to it, it was Dominic’s immense ambition and greed, wanting to swallow up the Leon family and monopolize the Tiger Group for himself. The Leon family naturally couldn’t stomach that insult and fought back.

Virga is from Vincent’s faction, so of course he wouldn’t badmouth his own boss.

However, the way he described these events was detailed and structured, definitely not just baseless rumors.

Luis had no interest in these petty rich family grudges. The only thing he was interested in was the instance quest.

At six o’clock the next morning, all the people assembled. There were even some unfamiliar faces transferred from other companies. The person assigning the tasks wasn’t Virga anymore, but a very stern-looking middle-aged man.

After finishing the assignments, the middle-aged man scanned the group and asked, ”Who is Luis?”

After finishing the assignments, the middle-aged man scanned the group and asked, ”Who is Luis?”

”Me!” Luis was somewhat startled.
