Lust System: Harem Of Beautiful Women

Chapter 217: Leah, You Must Find Husband Like Luis

The fact that Logan, that old fossil, was drinking and chatting merrily with Luis was, naturally, the direct result of Luis’s relentless and skillful flattery.

This idiot just ate that stuff up.

Both the Wood mother and daughters recognized Luis’s intention, especially Ruth, who, having dried her tears, was now brimming with moved gratitude and happiness.

Eloise couldn’t help but praise, ”Lily, your judgment is truly impeccable.”

”This husband you picked is handsome, knows how to make money, understands how to be considerate and show he cares. There’s really not a single fault to be found with him.”

”Sometimes I worry he takes on too much and will wear himself out.”

Lily’s face, too, was filled with a look of pure bliss.

The other three Wood women smiled along, but each harbored their own private thoughts. Nancy was visibly green with envy. Besides being wealthy and considerate, he was also so perceptive.

Never mind everything else, his intention to keep Logan pacified was obvious to everyone, and even her aunt looked thoroughly pleased.

Compared to him, her own husband was pure garbage.

Nancy wondered if she had been blind back then. Why had she ever been taken with Daniel? How could she have had the nerve back then to look down on this brother-in-law?

Yana teased from the side, ”Leah, see? In the future, when you’re looking for a husband or a boyfriend, you have to find one exactly like your second brother-in-law.”

”They’re not that easy to find.”

Leah’s little face flushed a bright pink, and she said with a playful grin, ”If I can’t find one, I’ll just stay at home and let my brother-in-law provide for me.”

Lily affectionately ruffled her little sister’s hair and said, ”How would you know you can’t find one if you haven’t even started looking?”

”Even if I do find one, I’m going to follow Second Sister’s example and have him be a live-in son-in-law, so he can stay by Mom’s side and take good care of her.”

Leah immediately added, ”I definitely don’t want to marry out like Big Sister did. That seems so unfair. Second Sister was much more far-sighted.”

”Are you asking for a spanking, daring to make fun of me now?”

Nancy laughed and scolded, swatting her younger sister’s backside lightly.

”I’m being serious!”

Leah clung to her second sister Lily’s arm, whining coquettishly, ”Right, Second Sister? If I can’t find one, I just won’t get married. I’ll stay home and let brother-in-law take care of me.”

”You silly little girl, why on earth should your brother-in-law be responsible for providing for you?”

Ruth said, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

Luis overheard this faintly and couldn’t quite decipher his sister-in-law’s meaning. Was she truly just joking, or was she testing the waters? He couldn’t shake the feeling that his recent efforts to charm her had been particularly, notably successful.

The dishes arrived one after another. The single-portion dishes calculated per person were already of considerable value.

Crocodile meat stewed with ironweed dendrobium, three-headed soft-centered abalone in rich sauce, and the like—ordinary ingredients like sea cucumber were considered low-grade here.

King crab, emperor crab, and giant grouper head, high-end seafood and game almost only seen on television and never in the markets, covered the table.

Amid the clinking of glasses, Ruth was intoxicated, her face full of pride. Just this single meal today cost tens of thousands of dollars.

The gifts from her three daughters were already immensely valuable, not to mention the 100,000 luxury car her son-in-law had gifted.

With so many pleasant surprises coming together, she felt she had never been this happy in her entire life.

Most importantly, under her son-in-law’s guidance, her three daughters were now so accomplished. She felt so blissful she would willingly die at this very moment.

The meal lasted nearly two hours. After much toasting and drinking, they still felt a lingering desire to continue.

Nancy proactively booked the largest private room across the street from their home. A group of young married women clamored fiercely for a second round of festivities.

Nancy paid the bill by card. The price of over 9,000 dollars drew gasps of surprise, making Ruth feel immensely proud.

”What about the car? Should we call a designated driver?”

Ruth gazed intoxicated at the luxury car that belonged to her.

”How can we call a designated driver for Mom’s first drive in her own car? Let’s leave it here for now. I’ll come over tomorrow or the day after to drive with you.”

Luis’s considerate words were filled with a sense of ceremony, making Ruth break into a blissful smile.

She nodded, unable to suppress a feeling of jealousy towards her own daughter. How did she get so lucky, finding such a perfect husband.

The Gestor Palace did not offer pickup services, but it could provide drop-off services.

Waiting at the entrance of the Gestor Palace for their arranged car, Nancy held her aunt Eloise’s arm intimately and said, ”Aunt, don’t go back tonight. It’s been so long since I last talked with you.”

”That’s right, Aunt...”

The three Wood sisters also urged her to stay.

”Uncle, are you alright?”

Luis supported Logan, who was quite drunk.

He was in much better condition now, having clearly vomited in the restroom and sobered up a bit. He grabbed Luis’s hand and said,

”Luis, it’s settled, you must come to your aunt’s house next time. Your Uncle will let you try our authentic local dishes, they’re no worse than these rare delicacies.”

”Absolutely, absolutely!”

Luis thought to himself, next time I go to your house, I will fuck your wife.

”Logan, I’m staying at big sister’s place tonight.”

Eloise was persuaded. Her use of his given name indicated their marital relationship was truly not good. If not for the children, they would likely have divorced long ago.

”Go ahead, go ahead. I’ll go to Old man’s place and have a few more drinks.”

As an old married couple, the husband was supportive of his wife staying at her sister’s home, relishing the rare peace and freedom. Logan was also quite pleased.

The cars from the Gestor Palace arrived one after another. Luis only breathed a sigh of relief after seeing off that jinx, Logan.

Eloise seemed to understand perfectly. She gave a soft, charming smile and said, ”You’ve worked hard, second son-in-law. That uncle-in-law of yours often speaks without thinking. It must have been difficult for you, putting up with him all evening.”

”Not at all, not at all!”

Luis wore a humble smile.

It was no exaggeration to say that Luis deserved the highest praise for spending money, expending effort, and investing thought. Primarily, he had endured Logan the entire evening. It required considerable emotional intelligence and intellect to manage that task, as one could easily be infuriated to death by that fellow.

”Mom, I don’t want too much noise. I’d like to go back and rest.”

Lily spoke up proactively.

Leah also chimed in, ”Mom, I want to go back first too!”

After all, the place was a gathering of married women. As a wife herself, Nancy would go along to handle the bill and look after their elderly mother, who was already feeling the effects of the alcohol.

Ruth smiled gently and said, ”Alright, alright. Then Mom will go singing with your aunt and the others.”

”Mom, have fun. I’m so full.”

Luis proactively took his wife’s hand and said with a laugh, ”Mom, then I’ll take a walk with Lily. You all enjoy yourselves.”

The group of young married women boarded the cars and departed in a grand procession.

Luis and Lily exchanged a smile, interlocked their fingers, and began to stroll. Leah, understanding the situation, didn’t play the third wheel and took the ride back first.

Lily wore a mischievous grin and said, ”Husband, you’re really willing to spend money. I thought buying a bag was the gift. I never expected you actually secretly bought Mom a luxury car behind my back.”

Luis chuckled and said, ”Of course I had to keep it from you. You can’t keep secrets.”

”Hmph, you and big sister are definitely in cahoots.”

”When have I ever been in cahoots with her?

But I think your suggestion is quite excellent.”

Lily hadn’t drunk any alcohol, but her face was now glowing like a peach. She smirked and said, ”You stinky husband, you big pervert. Seriously though, Mom was so moved today. Did you see how her eyes were all watery?”
