Chapter 595 Working on Karmic Luck

Kyle talked some more with his teammates before everyone went back to do their own thing.

Warp Space and Swamp Dragon decided to remain on this world.

They dug deep into the ground to stay away from the beasts on the surface.

Warp Space would learn more about gravity by looking at her Suppressed Planet Core, while Swamp Dragon would turn into weird flesh figures to comprehend the Law of Body.

Meanwhile, Kyle left the world and flew back to the planet he had been on before.

Yet, just when Kyle was entering the Yin-Fire Law Well they had created, he noticed something.

Or, more accurately, someone.

Someone was inside the pillar of Yin-Fire he had created.

It was a man with black hair, and he quickly noticed Kyle as well.

His eyes narrowed, and the emblem on him showed a white glow.

A white team.

One of the new contestants.

ʼHuh,ʼ Kyle thought. ʼThey probably came with us.ʼ

For a moment, Kyle was surprised that there were still white teams out there, but then he realized that it actually hadnʼt been that long.

It just felt long.

Kyle had been in three True Battles already, which made it feel like more time had passed.

While the manʼs emblem shone in white, Kyleʼs emblem shone in yellow.

”You do know that I made this Law Well, right?” Kyle asked.

The man looked at Kyle with serious eyes.

”I do,” he answered. ”I waited until you left.”

”Why? Canʼt you just make your own?” Kyle asked. ”Itʼs not exactly difficult.”

The man didnʼt immediately answer.

”What?” Kyle asked. ”Are you checking me out?”

The man didnʼt answer.

Kyle groaned. ”Come on! We already went through three True Battles ever since we got here! I donʼt want to have another one!”

”Three?” the man asked, unimpressed. ”Youʼre a yellow team, not an orange one.”

”Buddy, beasts are a thing,” Kyle answered before pointing in the direction of the beast planet. ”Thereʼs a planet filled with Primal Beasts there. If you want a battle, go there. Thereʼs enough battle for all of us.”

The man just looked at Kyle. ”You went to a planet full of beasts with a Sin Aura?” he asked, unconvinced.

”Wasnʼt exactly our choice,” Kyle said. ”We just appeared there when it started.”

The man kept looking at Kyle.

”Show me your Momentum,” he said.

”Why?” Kyle asked.

”If you donʼt, I will declare battle,” the man said. ”Our team hasnʼt had a battle yet.”

Kyle was getting a bit annoyed.

His entire team just wanted to look at Laws right now. Theyʼve already had plenty of True Battles.

They really didnʼt need another one right now.

Kyle really just wanted to tell this guy to get lost.

But then, he had a thought.

”You know what? Youʼre in luck!” Kyle said. ”Iʼm working on my Karmic Luck right now. Are you interested in helping me?”

The man raised a brow.

”You want to help me?” he asked.

Kyle shrugged. ”Why not?”

The man furrowed his brows. ”Alright.”

”The beast planet has a trial. We just got through it,” Kyle said. ”Youʼre probably interested in that.”

The manʼs eyes shone.

All of the participants wanted to enter trials.

They gave good True Battles and rewards.

”Do you have proof?” the man asked.

Kyle pulled out his certificate of ownership for the Trial.

The good thing about this certificate was that stealing it was meaningless.

The Trial was in his name. As long as the guy couldnʼt tell the person who built the Trial to rewrite the name on it, nothing would change.

When the man saw the certificate, he fell into thought.

”You donʼt seem to be lying,” he said.

Then, he thought for a couple more seconds.

”Fine, where exactly is it?” he asked.

Kyle gave the guy the location of the Trial.

”Also,” Kyle added. ”I must really stress that the Trial isnʼt easy. There are three levels, and my two teammates completed the first two levels on their own. I was only present for the third, and we almost died.”

”If you need your entire team for the second level, donʼt even attempt the third level. I donʼt want to have your deaths pull my Karmic Luck more into the negatives.”

The man frowned.

”Do you swear?” he asked.

”Everything Iʼve said about the trial is the truth,” Kyle said. ”I swear.”

The man looked towards the direction of the planet.

Swearing something was serious.

It had a considerable impact on Karmic Luck if someone lied while swearing.

”I will believe you,” the man said.

But then, his eyes narrowed, and his Momentum activated.

”But if you lie to me, I swear that I will kill you,” he said.

The manʼs Momentum was pretty strong, but for a Fulfilled Transcendent, it was average.

It barely had an effect on Kyle.

”Sure, do what you want,” Kyle said before going deeper into the planet.

At the same time, the man flew out of the pillar of Yin-Fire.

Kyle arrived at the stream of Yin-Wind, but instead of going inside, he decided to wait.

He tried to focus on his Karmic Luck. ʼThis should be a good opportunity to see how my Karmic Luck changes,ʼ he thought. ʼIʼve seen it move here and there occasionally, but I canʼt see it whenever I want to.ʼ

Kyle waited for several hours while focusing on his Karmic Luck.

At some point, he felt the world change for just a tiny instant, and he felt like he had just seen something green.

ʼIf my guess is correct, they must have found the Trial. Just finding one of these is considered luck.ʼ

About a minute later, Kyle felt like he saw another green burst. This one was much bigger.

ʼLevel One done,ʼ Kyle thought.

He waited.

30 seconds later, something changed again.

Kyleʼs eyes widened.

ʼYouʼre not serious!ʼ he thought.

He felt like he had seen a burst of red just now.

Luckily, two huge bursts of green appeared just moments later.

Kyle sighed in relief.

From what he saw, the bursts of green were greater than the burst of red.

ʼOne of them died in the second level, but the remaining two survived and won a dangerous True Battle.ʼ

ʼNow, please… PLEASE… donʼt attempt the third level. If you already have a death in the second, you will die in the third.ʼ

ʼDonʼt fuck my Karmic Luck!ʼ

Kyle waited.

Seconds passed.

Finally, he got his answer.
