Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 1165: Suppressed Senses

Naturally, while Abyssal Depths believed that Kyle was pretty capable, she also wanted to see some evidence. She knew that Kyle had a True Hero Aura and that he would use it to get to the Protected City. As long as he didnʼt mess up, he would get to Wildʼs Summit without any incidents. If he couldnʼt even do that, going on an excursion with him would only put her survival at risk.

Even though they were a team, they still didnʼt know each other, and she wanted to make it clear that they were still acquaintances. In a way, she wanted to warn Kyle against relying on her too much. She was an Adept Immortal, which meant she was the strongest in the group. She wasnʼt interested in carrying two New Immortals. She wanted the others to contribute as well.

”Wait, your Divine Consciousness was suppressed?” Sebastian asked with raised brows.

”Yes, and it was suppressed by quite a bit,” Kyle answered.

”How big was your Divine Consciousness?” Abyssal Depths asked.

Kyle furrowed his brows. He still didnʼt know how the suppression of Divine Consciousness worked, and Abyssal Depths knew that.

ʼThis is a test,ʼ he thought. ʼShe wants to know if Iʼm honest. I could probably read about it somewhere, but if I look at my Communicator right now, it would be obvious that Iʼm trying to lie.ʼ

ʼWeʼre a team now. If we want to succeed, we need to know what everyone else is capable of. As a member of the team, itʼs the right thing to answer this question honestly. After all, I also want to know about her capabilities.ʼ

ʼFine, letʼs hope Iʼm not revealing something I shouldnʼt reveal.ʼ

”A bit less than a million kilometers,” Kyle answered.
”Do you have a Complex Law involving all three Major Primordial Force Laws?” Abyssal Depths asked calmly.

A small distortion appeared above Kyleʼs right hand. ”Yes,” he answered.

”You became a Beginner Immortal in the Hero Dimension?” she asked.

”Yes,” Kyle answered. His Karmic Luck dropped a tiny bit when he lied to his teammate, but he could keep the drop hidden with his Law of Karmic Causality.

Abyssal Depths nodded. ”The size of your Divine Consciousness is congruent with your Laws and Realm. Thereʼs nothing unusual going on. If you want, I can break it down for you.”

”Please,” Kyle answered.

”Every Immortal and stronger has a base size for their Divine Consciousness. The base size is determined by how much you can sense in the Main Dimension. The Divine Consciousness of a New Immortal has a radius of ten billion kilometers. A Beginner Immortal has twenty billion. An Adept Immortal has thirty billion. A Zenith Immortal has eighty billion. A Half-Step Lord has a hundred billion. The last level in the Universe Realm is significantly stronger than the penultimate level. Thatʼs why the increase is bigger.”

”In the Immortal Dimension, your Divine Consciousness is suppressed by two multiplicative factors, which are your Realm and your Primordial Force Laws. You multiply both suppressive factors with each other to create your total suppressive factor. Then, you take the base range of your Divine Consciousness and divide it by the total suppressive factor. The resulting number is the radius of your Divine Consciousness in the Immortal Dimension,” Abyssal Depths explained.

”What are the individual suppressive factors?” Kyle asked, looking at Abyssal Depths. Sebastian also looked at her since he was also interested.

”Becoming a Demigod puts the suppressive factor of your Realm at one. Creating a Complex Law of all three True Primordial Force Laws puts the suppressive factor of your Laws at one. If you have both, your Divine Consciousness will no longer be suppressed.”

”A Peak Lord experiences a suppressive factor of five, while a New Lord has a suppressive factor of 25. A Half-Step Lord has one of 75, while a Zenith Immortal has one of 150. With every falling level, the suppressive factor increases by 50. A New Immortal has one of 500. You, as a Beginner Immortal, have one of 450.”

”Knowing the True Law of Space puts your suppression factor at ten. Space is the most relevant factor when it comes to the size of your Divine Consciousness, which is why learning more about it lowers your suppression factor. Progress in the other two Primordial Force Laws doesnʼt increase the size of your Divine Consciousness unless you combine them with the Law of Space.”

”Creating a Complex Major Law of Primordial Forces puts your suppression factor at 50. Just knowing the Major Law of Space puts it at 500. Not knowing any Primordial Force Laws puts it at 10,000.”

When Kyle and Sebastian heard that, their eyes widened. In the next moment, Kyle looked with worry at Sebastian.

Sebastian didnʼt know the Major Law of Space, and he was a New Immortal.

According to the calculation...

”I can only sense the surrounding 2,000 kilometers outside the Protecting City?” Sebastian asked.

”If you donʼt even know the Major Law of Space, yes,” Abyssal Depths answered.

Sebastian took a deep breath.

2,000 kilometers was barely anything for an Immortal! Sebastianʼs speed exceeded a million kilometers per second! Sure, as an Immortal, a second could feel like hours felt to a Mortal, which was why he wouldnʼt suddenly run into a wall, but enemy attacks were even faster! Assuming he managed to somehow deal with such an attack, he still wouldnʼt be able to sense the location of his attackers!

”For New Immortals, eyes are very relevant,” Abyssal Depths answered evenly. ”Reality is more durable here, which means the limit of the speed of light is much higher. Its speed is just slightly slower than the speed of Energy. Sight isnʼt nearly as useful as Divine Consciousness, but itʼs also not useless.”

Sebastian grimaced.

Sight.

He had to rely on sight to navigate the Immortal Dimension.

To powerful Seekers, sight had very limited uses. One could only see things in front of them, while Divine Consciousness could sense everything around them. Sight was interrupted by any form of solid matter, while Divine Consciousness easily passed through matter. Sight couldnʼt sense Energy Fluctuations or the emotions of reality.

If someone could only sense their opponent with their eyes, they wouldnʼt be able to sense the intricacies of the enemyʼs attack or how much Energy they were gathering.

Even if Sebastian became an Adept Immortal, he would be almost useless in a battle.

As Abyssal Depths looked at Sebastian, she released a defeated sigh. The Energy around Sebastian was a bit special. She didnʼt know why it was special since she couldnʼt sense the Energy inside Sebastianʼs spear, but she could still sense that it was unusual.

She had hoped that Sebastian would surprise her, but she hadnʼt expected that he didnʼt even know the Major Law of Space. At least Kyle had been proven to be useful.

”Youʼre going through what almost every New Immortal goes through,” Abyssal Depths told Sebastian. ”New Immortals almost never leave their Protected City. Over 99% of New Immortals spend a Grade Nine Energy Stone to remain in their Protected City so that they can prepare for their first excursion.”

”They create a Complex Primordial Force Law and create enough Energy Stones to become Beginner Immortals. If you donʼt have any savings, this will take about 1.5 to two million years.”

The authorʼs patreon. If he gets more than 1000 per month, he will increase the number of words in the chapter.
