Nine Dragons Saint Ancestor

”This...”

With maneuvers as swift as a hawk and precise as a rabbit, even Yun Wei, who followed behind, was stunned. Shang Xi was a cultivator in the middle stage of Meridian Qi, and although slightly less powerful than her at the peak of Meridian Qi, how had her brother, who had his Meridian Qi completely destroyed a month ago while healing someone, become so formidable after not seeing him for many days?

Watching Yun Xiao break both of Shang Xi’s arms, Yun Wei suddenly realized that she did not recognize this brother anymore. The old Yun Xiao, although talented, had never been so ruthless and decisive, breaking someone’s arms over a disagreement—this was certainly not Yun Xiao’s style.

Yun Xiao, for his part, did not share Yun Wei’s reflections. Ignoring the shrieking Shang Xi, he said coldly, ”Go back and tell that wretch Xue Qi to meet me at the other courtyard within three days, or bear the consequences!”

”You... who do you think you are? You’ve hurt me, Huixu will not let you get away with this!” Shang Xi, despite both arms being broken, still spoke arrogantly, relying on the backing of Young Master Huixu.

”One more word and believe me, I’ll break your legs as well,” Yun Xiao’s eyes flashed with cold light, and his soft voice made Shang Xi dare not speak anymore, leaving hastily with a resentful look.

”You... Sister, are you alright? No need to be upset with such people!” Yun Xiao turned back to look at the young girl, seeming somewhat confused but then he smiled faintly.

”I’m not upset, I’m not upset at all. As long as you’re alive and come back, even if that guy curses me a few more times, I won’t be angry!” Yun Wei’s face was full of joy, showing her deep affection for her brother Yun Xiao.

Yun Wei was about to, as usual, reach out to pat Yun Xiao’s head, but he dodged her hand, making her stiffen unexpectedly.

”Let’s go back first, she... our mother must be anxious!” Yun Xiao’s smile was a bit forced, and he paused when mentioning their mother, causing Yun Wei to feel an odd sensation.

However, seeing Yun Xiao walking towards a certain direction, Yun Wei came back to her senses and hurriedly followed, saying, ”Xiao’er, do you know that you fell into such a plight because of that wretch Xue Qi?”

Hearing Yun Wei’s words, Yun Xiao paused, his eyes shimmered sharply as he replied, ”Don’t worry, sister. I was deceived by her apparent righteousness before and made many foolish mistakes. I won’t do it again. Moreover, the debt she owes... I will reclaim it all!”

Hearing this, Yun Wei nodded, her voice filled with hatred, ”When our mother found her in the snow many years ago and raised her like her own daughter, who would have imagined she would turn into such an ingrate? We must avenge this!”

The siblings talked as they walked back to the courtyard where they lived, but just as Yun Xiao stepped through the gate, he frowned slightly—the sight that greeted him was one of chaos.

”Mother!”

Yun Wei also saw the state of the courtyard and her face paled immediately. She ran into a room in the courtyard, calling out, knowing for sure something terrible had happened.

Yun Xiao followed his sister into the room, and the first thing he saw was a middle-aged woman, Shang Li, with a vacant stare at something, seemingly oblivious to Yun Wei’s previous call.

”Mother, what’s wrong? Are you alright?” Seeing this, Yun Wei became even more panicked and rushed to shake her mother, Shang Li’s, arm, finally bringing her back to her senses.

”Yun Wei, you’re back, and... Xiao’er?!”

Shang Li looked a bit sad at Yun Wei, then suddenly stood up shockingly, her previous entanglements instantly vanished—nothing in this world was more important to her than her children.

”Mother, it’s me, what exactly happened?” Yun Xiao had slipped into his role, his expression calm, lacking the excitement of reuniting with his mother, and asked directly.

”Xiao’er, I’m so relieved you’re alright. Here... well, never mind,” Shang Li lovingly stroked Yun Xiao’s back of the head, giving him a strange feeling.

”Mother, did that wretch Xue Qi come to bother you again?” Shang Li was reluctant to elaborate, but Yun Wei couldn’t just let it go, her thoughts stirring, guessing something.

”It’s probably related to her. After you left this morning, she sent someone to ask me to meet, and when I returned, the courtyard was like this!” Shang Li, a gentle person by nature, seemed still reluctant to speak ill even of someone who had betrayed her.

”Could it be... the Meridian Rushing Pill?!” Hearing her mother’s explanation, Yun Wei seemed to remember something, blurting out. And when she saw her mother nod slightly, a surge of resentment rose from deep within, relentless and enduring.

”Meridian Rushing Pill?”

Hearing this elixir name, seemingly existing deep within his memories, Yun Xiao muttered it again; in his impression, this medicine was of very low quality and seemed to have no value.

Seeing Yun Xiao’s expression, Yun Wei’s face still held resentment as she explained, ”Half a month ago, I broke through to the peak of Meridian Qi strength. My mother shamelessly begged the Family Head for a Meridian Rushing Pill, hoping it would help me reach the Meridian Introduction Realm, but unexpectedly, that vile Xue Qi learned of this and resorted to such despicable tactics!”

”Are you saying that Xue Qi used a diversion tactic to lead mother away and then sent someone to steal the Meridian Rushing Pill?” Yun Xiao, although having been in the Snake Nest for a month, understood the cause and effect after a moment’s thought, and this conjecture was indeed the truth.

”That vile woman is so hateful, causing you to barely escape death and still not satisfied, does she know how mother had to lower her posture before those people of the Shang Family to obtain this Meridian Rushing Pill?” Yun Wei’s voice slightly choked as she spoke.

Speaking of which, Shang Li was indeed a direct descendant of the Shang Family, but since the death of her father from the third branch, their lineage had declined, and she later went out for training for a while, bringing back Yun Wei and Yun Xiao siblings, causing their status in the Shang Family to plummet further.

In the eyes of the Shang Family Head and the members of the main and secondary branches, Shang Li couldn’t even clearly claim who fathered Yun Wei and her brother; this was considered insulting and disgraceful to the Shang Family, so for many years, the mother and daughters lived in a very secluded courtyard.

However, that was not all; recently, Shang Li’s foster daughter of over ten years, Xue Qi, unable to endure the hardships, resorted to deceiving Yun Xiao to heal her, completely destroying his Meridian Qi, and even tricked him into entering the Snake Nest aiming to kill him.

This time Xue Qi sent someone to invite Shang Li to meet; the latter thought there was news of Yun Xiao, and calmly went, but on returning, she found the Meridian Rushing Pill prepared for Yun Wei was gone.

Facing such ungrateful behavior, even though Yun Xiao was no longer the same person, after learning the truth, he felt extreme anger and thus decided to make Xue Qi, that ungrateful person, pay the price for her actions.

However, Yun Xiao knew that since Xue Qi had painstakingly obtained the Meridian Rushing Pill meant for Yun Wei, it indicated she had also reached the peak of Meridian Qi strength and was about to break into the Meridian Introduction Realm; with his current ability, he probably was not yet her match.

Despite showing his prowess in the Snake Nest and breaking both of Shang Xi’s arms with one move, that was him catching Shang Xi off guard and employing some clever tactics; a real fight to the death might not be won so easily.

Thus, Yun Xiao did not reveal this at this time. After he gently squeezed his palm and comforted his mother, he left to return to his own room.

”Mother, have you noticed that Xiao’er seems a bit different from before?” Watching Yun Xiao’s retreating figure, Yun Wei asked in a daze.

”Now that you mention it, it does seem so!” Shang Li was slightly taken aback, then next moment she shook her head and laughed, ”Xiao’er being able to come back alive is already a great fortune, why bother thinking too much?”

”True!” Yun Wei decided not to say more, but whenever she thought about her Meridian Rushing Pill meant for breaking into the Meridian Introduction Realm being taken advantage by that ungrateful wretch, she felt as sick as if she had swallowed a dead fly, and immediately left to return to her room.

...

After returning to his own room, Yun Xiao stared blankly at a spot for quite a while until nightfall when he seemed to snap back to reality, as if making certain decisions.

”Heh, Emperor Canglong, Qinwan, you never expected I could still live, huh? Once I, Long Xiao Battle God, cultivate again in this lifetime, I will definitely claim everything back from you!” A deep voice emerged from Yun Xiao’s mouth; at this moment, he belonged to Long Xiao Battle God, but the next moment, he belonged to Yun Xiao.

After the conversation with his mother Shang Li and sister Yun Wei, Long Xiao Battle God had already begun to identify as Yun Xiao, having the memories unique to this body, now he could only live as Yun Xiao.

”Sigh, this body is really too weak; dealing with a mere ant-like middle-stage Meridian Qi practitioner almost broke my wrist, seems I need to think of a solution!” After returning to reality, Yun Xiao no longer dwelled on past grievances; for now, addressing the immediate troubles was more pressing.

Previously, in Snake Nest, indeed Yun Xiao managed to dislocate Shang Xi’s arms with just two moves, but it was all due to the battle experience of his former life as Long Xiao Battle God, an unparalleled expert, who, even without any trace of Meridian Qi Cultivation, was not a person Shang Xi could manipulate at will.

Now that he had reincarnated within this body of Yun Xiao, Long Xiao Battle God had begun regarding himself as Yun Xiao; that woman called Xue Qi, and those potentially related or hostile members of the Shang Family, he had to face them all.

Moreover, he had just boldly declared to have that Xue Qi come to this secluded yard to find him within three days; with his current state devoid of any Meridian Qi Cultivation, what could he use to claim justice for his mother and sister?

”Hm? What is this?”

As an unparalleled former expert, Long Xiao Battle God knew countless high-ranked Cultivation Techniques and Meridian Techniques. However, as he was about to choose a Cultivation Technique to begin his practice, he discovered a blood-red mark unexpectedly appearing on the palm of his right hand.

At the same time, while pondering over a Cultivation Technique in his mind, Yun Xiao suddenly had five big characters surge from the depths of his soul: Ancient Dragon Taming Technique!
