Inheriting A Divine Cultivation Clan At The Start, All My Juniors Are Empresses

Chapter 314: Chapter 192: Sect Competition! Cultivator’s Encounter!_5

Yuchi was satisfied; such a laborious and thankless task, the other party wouldn’t do it. So he threw out another question right away, asking: ”You just mentioned a grand competition between the Ascension Gates? What is that all about?”

The two temporarily stopped their kneeling and neither the man nor the woman knew if Yuchi truly didn’t know or was just pretending, because this kind of thing was known to everyone in the sect. Any sect registered officially had received the notice; it’s a sect competition that spans a century, held only once in a millennium.

”Registered officially?”

Yuchi glanced at the two of them, not understanding what they meant.

This plunged the two into a kind of unbelievable silence.

What?

What?

Could such a powerful Ascension Gate really not know what registered officially means?

No way!

”Shanlan, do you know?” Yuchi focused his attention on the beautiful girl.

”I don’t know,” Huo Shanlan shook her head, her rosy lips showing shyness.

And then Yuchi and Huo Shanlan found themselves a bit bewildered; Yuchi felt it was understandable for him not to know, as he wasn’t from this place to begin with. Otherwise, if I ask you, do you know what ’surfing the web’ means? You see, you surely don’t know either, guessing perhaps that it’s done wildly on a spider web... so it’s understandable.

On the other hand, if Miss Huo Shanlan, who has lived for over a thousand years, doesn’t know, it indicates that this matter must be a joke. What’s this registering officially? Who’s supposed to notify me? Why don’t I know?

But th...

But then Shen Qinghan came up with her silent ’thunk-thunk-thunk,’ tiptoeing over to Yuchi and whispered softly into his ear:

”Sect Leader Senior Brother, you might not know, but actually, every sect must be registered officially. This is part of the standard procedure that every legitimate sect follows. A sect that is not registered can’t freely accept disciples.”

Then, with Shen Qinghan’s gentle and fragrant explanation, Yuchi suddenly understood.

Although any cultivator can establish a sect, after establishing it, you must go to the officials, seek them out to register the entire sect. The registration process mainly involves a few steps.

First step, where is the Sect Leader from? Hometown? Level of cultivation? Any bad records?

Second step, the Sect Leader needs to provide some deposit money to prevent the Sect Leader from running away someday, leaving the disciples at a loss. If you want more disciples, then you need more deposit money. Besides this, is there any guarantor, anything to make us trust you more? Bring it all out for a look.

Third step, does the sect have an annual review, do they bring the sect disciple roster every year, have the disciples violated any rules during this time, does your sect have any harmful Immortal Herb cultivation violations? How much gold and silver did you earn per year, have you paid full taxes?

Blah blah blah, a whole bunch.

”Damn! Is this the process of registering a company? Does a sect actually need to register?!”

”Damn!”

”So after messing around with the Ascension Gate, it turns out it’s still an unlicensed workshop?!”

Yuchi was utterly astonished.

Damn annual review, who knew a sect needs an annual review, who knew it requires a dedicated accountant?

Who knew this thing has such flashy procedures!

Then comforted himself a bit:

It’s also understandable; otherwise, what if the sect isn’t legitimate, and disciples pay their fees only for them to run away?

So a sect wanting to accept disciples has to be legitimate; the deposit is compensation to the disciples if the Sect Leader runs away.

Indeed.

Legitimate.

The concept of cultivation was really well-played by these people.

”So it’s fine if I don’t know, but Shanlan, do you actually not know either?” Yuchi, with a simple mask, glanced at Huo Shanlan.

Huo Shanlan, a delicious beauty looking like a Celestial Immortal, just blushed.

I don’t! Know!

”0v0”

I’ve always just picked things up and cultivated easily, recently the sects have been in decline; how would I know so much?

Shanlan was forced to act cute... and Yuchi was literarily ’impressed.’

”So is this an unlicensed sect?”

The two sect disciples felt really panicked, like scared dogs.

Unlicensed sect murders are entirely untraceable; there’s no record of it in the official sect directories.

And then...

And then you tell me, a sect with such terrifying power, turns out to be an unlicensed sect?

So why does my sect, being a properly established one, not have as much strength as this unlicensed sect?

They looked up at Yuchi.

The two suddenly felt that the cultivator sect was like a sinister force, everyone was fantastically terrifying, simply exemplary figures of violation, evildoers among cultivators.

You know, if the officials catch such matters, it doesn’t matter what you say, the consequences are quite serious.

So are these people even scared of the officials?

”Go on,”

Yuchi gestured for them not to overthink it; we belong to a good sect.

As for the competition between sects?

Yuchi was quite curious about it; what kind of competition takes a hundred years to unfold? It’s strange!

A hundred years just for a fight?

Who has that idle time?

But matters among cultivators, Yuchi wasn’t clear, though intuition told him that they need to participate in this competition.
