But Sol was like an impregnable wall.

He moved around effortlessly, blocking, striking, and disrupting the enemy line.

A kick to the knee shattered one Marauder’s leg. A palm strike to the chest sent another flying. He didn’t draw his blade yet, his raw physical strength and Layer 2 foundation were more than enough to keep the raiders at bay while the recruits gained distance.

The pass was close.

Seeing that there was considerable difference between recruits and coalition army, he turned and ran at a casual, unhurried pace, as if he were taking a leisurely stroll through the tribe square rather than fleeing from an army.

But of course, he wasn’t just silently running, Sol kept taunting coalition forces the entire way, his voice dripping with contempt, each word designed to cut deeper than any blade.

”Hey!” Sol shouted back over his shoulder, his voice carrying clearly across the flats. ”Is this the best the great Coalition can do? A bunch of lanky bugs and drunk raiders chasing children? Pathetic!”

The enemies who had just got up roared louder, their rage fueling their speed, but Sol only laughed louder, the sound mocking and sharp.

”Come on! I thought you were supposed to be strong! Look at you... tripping over your own feet just to catch a few kids! Your mothers must be so proud of raising such slow, worthless sacks of meat!”

The Zerith stalkers hissed with fury, their multi-jointed limbs clicking rapidly as they tried to push ahead of the main force, desperate to be the first to taste Veynar blood.

Their orange eyes burned with pure, unfiltered hatred, foam dripping from their slit mouths as they screamed in their clicking, guttural tongue.

The sounds were sharp and venomous, like a nest of angry insects ready to swarm.

They leaped and scrambled over their own fallen comrades without a second thought, their long, segmented fingers clawing at the ground for traction.

The humiliation of being taunted by a single human... the same human who had ambushed their camp the night before, slaughtered their companions, and burned their supplies... was driving them into a frenzy.

This was the first time in their history that these ”weak” humans had dared to mock them so openly, and it burned like acid in their veins.

The Gray Marauders also bellowed like wounded beasts, their faces twisted with blind, uncontrollable rage.

Their heavy axes swung wildly as they tried to close the gap, the blades whistling through the air with enough force to split stone.

Their bearded faces were red with fury, veins bulging on their thick necks as they roared curses in their rough tongue.

They didn’t even care about the guys Sol had kicked and ran over them... their own brothers in arms trampled underfoot in the mindless charge. All that mattered was reaching that black-armored bastard and tearing him apart piece by piece.

They were angry.

Really angry.

This was the first time in their history that these human bastards had dared to taunt and make fun of them.

First, they had the audacity to ambush their camp last night, killing their companions and burning their supplies.

Now this weak human was daring to make fun of them, treating them like clumsy children chasing after a toy.

The humiliation was unbearable.

Their pride... the only thing these brutal raiders truly valued... was being shredded with every mocking word.

They ran as fast as they could, their heavy steps pounding the ground like war drums, but the most hateful thing was that no matter what they did, they couldn’t catch up to him.

Even though he seemed to be casually walking, his stride long and effortless, the distance between them and Sol remained the same.

It was as if the black-armored human was toying with them, deliberately staying just out of reach to prolong their humiliation.

A Zerith let out a high-pitched, screeching hiss, its orange eyes bulging with madness. ”Tear his tongue out! Make him scream for mocking us!”

Hearing their curses, Sol laughed even wilder, the sound echoing across the flats like a madman’s cackle.

His voice was filled with pure, mocking delight as he answered and cursed them even more viciously.

”Hah! You call that an insult? I’ve heard better threats from dying rats! You lanky cockroaches think you can tear me apart? I’ve shit bigger than you! Come on then... I’ll carve your ugly faces into trophies and use your bones to pick my teeth!

Your mothers must have fucked swamp toads to birth such pathetic, slow pieces of garbage!”

The taunts were savage, personal, and unrelenting. Sol’s voice carried perfectly, each word designed to cut deeper than any blade. He laughed again, the sound wild and unrestrained, as if he was genuinely enjoying himself.

The Coalition warriors went berserk.

”YOU DARE?!” a Gray Marauder roared, his face purple with rage. ”I’LL SKIN YOU ALIVE AND WEAR YOUR HIDE AS A CLOAK!”

The Zerith stalkers screeched in incoherent fury, their clicking tongues turning into high-pitched, hysterical screams as they pushed forward even harder.

On the other hand, seeing the whole situation, the Veynar elders were horrified.

They watched from their hidden positions on the cliffs, their faces pale with shock and disbelief.

”He’s gone mad!” one elder hissed, gripping his staff until his knuckles turned white. ”Taunting an already enraged army like that? He’s going to bring the entire horde down on us even faster!”

Another elder shook his head, his voice trembling with fear. ”This is suicide! He’s provoking them into a frenzy! What if they break through the pass before our trap is ready? He’s going to get us all killed!”

Even Veylara, usually unshakable, looked tense. Her eyes narrowed as she watched Sol continue his verbal assault.

”He’s playing with fire,” she muttered. ”But... he knows what he’s doing. He always does.”

The elders continued murmuring anxiously among themselves, their traditional mindsets clashing with the sheer audacity of Sol’s strategy.

They had never seen anyone taunt an enemy so viciously, so openly, especially when the numbers were so heavily against them.

To them, it was reckless. Suicidal. But they could only watch as Sol continued laughing and cursing, drawing the entire Coalition horde deeper into the trap.
