Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1894: Demon Extermination Sword Upgrade III

Zhang Fei [5] had returned to the fifth underground floor; he immediately moved to the central area and summoned the Demon Extermination Sword from within his body.

Meanwhile, Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan did not approach him and watched from the sidelines. They already knew what he would do next, and they didn’t want to be hit by his sword technique by getting too close to his area.

”Guang’an and Hei’an.”

The two female sword spirits immediately emerged from the Demon Extermination Sword.

”Do you want to see our new abilities, Master?”

”But these demons are too weak, and they might die with one attack, Master.”

Zhang Fei [5] looked at the two female sword spirits. ”If they die, then so be it. Besides, I still need a lot of demon materials, so you two can kill them to your heart’s content.”

”Hehe.” The two female sword spirits giggled.

Jian Guang’an moved behind him, hugged him from behind, and held the sword’s hilt. ”Let me show you our transformation first, Master.”

”Sure.”

*Swoosh*

Zhang Fei [5] was flabbergasted as soon as the sword turned bright white, and Jian Guang’an spoke into his ear. ”Channel your light element into the sword, Master.”

”Alright.” The Demon Extermination Sword glowed even brighter as Zhang Fei [5] channeled his light element into it. ”Hmm? I feel the light element in the sword has increased severalfold.”

”Threefold, to be exact, Master.” Jiang Guang’an raised Zhang Fei [5]’s hands and the sword. ”I will use the first technique, Master.”

As soon as Jian Guang’an said that, tens of thousands of white swords appeared above them, and the place was brightly lit.

Zhang Fei [5] felt familiar with the sword technique. In fact, he could do the same thing, but he felt Jian Guang’an’s technique was different from his.

In the distance, Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan covered their eyes with their hands, looking at those white swords in awe. They had seen Zhang Fei [5] use a sword technique almost similar to that, but his sword technique seemed inferior compared to Jian Guang’an’s.

Even the mindless demons on the floor looked at Jian Guang’an’s sword technique with trembling bodies, as if those swords oppressed them.

”Are you ready, Master?”

”Let’s do it.”

Jian Guang’an swung the sword down, and the white sword immediately plunged into the ground, killing all the mindless demons on the floor in one fell swoop. Those swords caused a series of explosive sounds, and the ground on the floor shook violently from the impact, which was also experienced by the four floors above them.

Just like Zhang Fei [5], Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan were also shocked to see the floor cleared of those mindless demons.

After accompanying Zhang Fei [5] as he hunted mindless demons for over two months, Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan realized that his swordsmanship was extraordinary, and he could slay them with great speed.

Zhang Fei [5] could kill many mindless demons in such a short time, but he couldn’t kill them with a single technique. He needed two or three strikes to kill them; now he could do it with just one strike.

Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan looked at Jian Guang’an behind Zhang Fei and took a deep breath. They didn’t expect that the light sword spirit would become so powerful after the Demon Extermination Sword became an immortal-grade artifact.

”You’re awesome, Guang’an!”

”Hehe,” Jian Guang’an giggled. ”Let me show you the next one, Master.”

”Go.”

The Demon Extermination Sword suddenly extended, and its tip almost touched one of the walls of the area. Jian Guang’an looked at Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan, who understood her intentions.

Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan immediately flew into the air, waiting for Jian Guang’an’s next action.

Jian Guang’an didn’t act immediately because the mindless demons needed time to respawn, so he had to wait a while before using his second technique. After they respawned, she led Zhang Fei [5] spinning on the spot, and the Demon Extermination Sword instantly cut them in half.

Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan broke out in a cold sweat as they watched the sword slice through the mindless demons as easily as cutting tofu, and all of them instantly died again. Even though they were only low-level demons, no weapon could cleave through them that easily.

A second later, Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan were snapped back to reality; they immediately moved to collect the demon materials that were scattered on the floor. Since Jian Guang’an killed all the mindless demons twice in a row, the materials on the ground were countless, and many of them were materials that Zhang Fei [5] needed.

Zhang Fei [5] took a deep breath, turning to Jian Guang’an with a look of shock and awe. ”Your changes are truly amazing, Guang’an.”

”Hehehe.” Jian Guang’an kissed his lips and took the sword from him. ”There is still one new ability I have acquired, Master.”

Zhang Fei [5] was overjoyed to hear that. ”Show me.”

”Alright.” Jian Guang’an nodded. ”Have you ever heard of a human and a sword becoming one, Master?”

”Yes.” Zhang Fei [5] nodded at her. ”Although I can’t do that myself, I’ve heard of it before. So, you mean you and the sword will merge into one?”

”I’ll show you, Master.” Jian Guang’an closed his eyes, and he disappeared from Zhang Fei [5]’s sight a few seconds later.

Zhang Fei [5] raised an eyebrow as he looked at the Demon Extermination Sword. He saw many golden symbols appear on the blade, and two white wings appeared on either side of the hilt.

Zhang Fei [5] wanted to grab the sword, but the Demon Extermination Sword flew away. He was used to seeing his sword do that when the two female sword spirits controlled it, but he felt that it was different from usual.

Soon, the Demon Extermination Sword transformed, and Jian Guang’an appeared in front of Zhang Fei [5] again. ”Master, in this state, I am the sword, and the sword is me.”

”I see.” Zhang Fei [5] reached out his hand and stroked her cheek. ”You are my sword, and my sword is you.”

Jian Guang’an smiled and looked around; she saw those mindless demons had respawned. ”I’ll show you the third one, Master.”

After saying that, Jian Guang’an waved her right hand, and many mindless demons around them were instantly torn apart. She didn’t stop there; she flew slowly towards the crowd of other demons, and all the demons in her path were also split in half.

Zhang Fei [5], Hua Qianmei, and Gongsun Zhiyan saw no significant movement from Jian Guang’an, and all those demons died just like that.

Jian Hei’an’s lips curled up; she embraced her master from behind. ”Are you satisfied with my sister’s changes, Master?”

”Satisfied! I’m satisfied.” Zhang Fei [5] nodded strongly. ”So, how about your changes?”

”I also have three new techniques, and I’ll show them to you after this. But—” Zhang Fei [5] turned to her. ”But I want to dual-soul cultivate with you after this, Master.”

Zhang Fei [5] smiled and nodded at her. ”Don’t worry, okay? I’ll dual-soul cultivate with you two after this, and I’ll satisfy both of you.”

”Hehehe.” Jian Hei’an kissed him. ”I missed you so much, Master.”

Zhang Fei [5] gently flicked her nose. ”I missed you both too.”

Before long, all the mindless demons on the floor were dead, and Jian Guang’an effortlessly killed them. After she finished, she returned to Zhang Fei [5] and separated from the Demon Extermination Sword. ”Are you satisfied with my performance, Master?”

”I’m completely satisfied.” Zhang Fei [5] kissed her. ”With your development, I don’t need to fear those demon gods anymore, and we will kill them if they dare to look for trouble with us.”

As before, Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan picked up all the demon materials on the floor, and they handed over the important materials to Zhang Fei [5].

”If I remember correctly, you should have two complete sets now, right?”

”Plus the two sets you got from Mo Shentian earlier, your four wives can upgrade their demon ranks.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at them. ”You two are right about that. My real body will help my four demon wives raise their demon ranks, but I’m still unsure about the other two.”

”Who are the first two?”

”Lillea and Janette are my first two demon wives, so I will help them first.” Zhang Fei [5] thought for a moment. ”Perhaps I will choose Zhang Lingxue and Ursula for the other two.”

Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan had already met all of Zhang Fei [5]’s wives; they knew that Ursula was a Devourer Demon and Zhang Lingxue was a Phoenix-Devourer Demon Beast.

”A devourer demon is actually strong; Ursula will become even stronger after her demon rank rises to the Seven Supreme Demon Rank. However, Zhang Lingxue should become stronger than her because she has the phoenix bloodline in her body, and she will probably evolve after her demon rank rises.”

”Besides, they are my earliest women, and they have been following me for a long time, so I want to help them first. After I get the other demon material sets, I will help my other wives.” Zhang Fei [5] looked at Jian Hei’an. ”Show me your three new techniques, Hei’an.”

”Okay.” Jian Hei’an grabbed the hilt of the Demon Extermination Sword, and Zhang Fei [5] channeled his darkness element into the sword.

Unlike when Jian Guang’an used it, the Demon Extermination Sword turned even blacker in Jian Hei’an’s hands, and it released a baleful aura that made Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan tremble.

”What kind of baleful aura is this? I’ve never felt such an aura before,” Gongsun Zhilan said, her voice trembling.

Hua Qianmei nodded in agreement. ”This aura is more terrifying than our ancestors’ aura.”
