Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1028: Heaven-Severing Sword Technique

Jia Yuyan became gloomy after Zhang Xiaolong [3] told her the fact that Qi Lai was willing to help Cao Ren in order to get her, but she was confused about how that person could know about her, especially since only members of her race and the other natural races knew about her special bloodline and physique. ”Could it be that Wan Jiang was right that the Fairy King was a traitor? Could it be that he spread the news about me to the public? Why did he ask me to hide here if that was true?”

”I already said that your Fairy King is not a good man, but I didn’t expect that the old man from the Star Tower belonged to the fairy race, and his disguise was so neat that I couldn’t notice it.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] then asked her. ”What exactly are the benefits of the Wood Spirit Nourishing Physique and the Immortal Treant Spirit Bloodline?”

Jia Yuyan looked at him with a frown. ”How did you know about these two?”

”I can’t tell you, at least for now, and I will tell you in the future.”

”Tch! Did you tell that to your other women?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] shook his head at Jia Yuyan, making her sigh at his secrecy. ”My physique is deeply connected to the essence of life, nature, and regeneration. My body naturally absorbs the wood element from the world around me, granting me rapid recovery, deep vitality, and a strong affinity for the power of nature. As for my bloodline, I obtained it from the one and only Ancient Immortal Treant Spirit in the universe.”

”The one and only Ancient Immortal Treant Spirit?”

Jia Yuyan nodded at him. ”According to him, there were many Immortal Treant Spirits in the distant past, but a massive catastrophe wiped them out, and he was the only one left in this universe.”

”Did he tell you about the catastrophe?”

”No.” Jia Yuyan’s response was slightly disappointing to Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ”When the catastrophe happened, he was still a flower bud, so he knew nothing about it. However, the memories inherited from his bloodline provided him with extensive information about his race, and he tried to locate members of his race when he grew up. Despite searching for billions of years, he never succeeded in finding even one. In the end, he gave up and accepted that he was the last remaining member of his race, but he gained a significant amount of information and heard about the catastrophe from other living beings during his search. Unfortunately, none of them had clear information about it, including all the powerful cultivators who exist in this era.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] was really surprised to hear all that. ”If he had lived that long, he should be a primordial being, right?

Jia Yuyan nodded at him. ”The Ancient Immortal Treant Spirit is a sentient being born during the primordial era, and he was formed from the confluence of the Dao of Wood and the Dao of Life. His roots stretch across the realms, stabilizing space and the flow of qi. He has profound knowledge of cultivation, formations, and even the lost Dao. In the end, he became a guardian to protect the balance of nature, and all natural races seek his guidance to reach higher realms. He is capable of reviving fallen lands, cleansing demonic corruption, and even regenerating lost souls under rare conditions.”

”Huh?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] was shocked after Jia Yuyan mentioned the last thing. ”How did you meet him? How did you convince him to give his bloodline to you?”

”I didn’t do anything to convince him, and he chose me when my grandfather took me to see him when I started my cultivation path. I once asked him about the reason, and he told me that it was because of my Wood Spirit Nourishing Physique.” Jia Yuyan let out a soft sigh before continuing. ”Thanks to his teachings, my cultivation improved much faster than anyone else’s, especially since my body kept absorbing Wood Qi from all over the realm. However, many natural races in my domain became jealous of me, but they did not dare to act because my grandparents were the direct subordinates of the previous fairy king. When the previous fairy king died, the new fairy king sent me to this territory for two reasons. First, to protect me, and second, to find the heir of the ten-tailed fox.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded in understanding. ”Not only humans, but all living creatures are susceptible to jealousy and envy. Since your progress is so fast, it is natural for others to become jealous of you. As for your Fairy King, I can’t say too much about her because I’ve never met her, but I fully believe that she’s not a good person. Therefore, you must always be wary of him if you return to your domain one day, and you should never trust everything he says; otherwise, you will suffer yourself.”

”Yeah.” Jia Yuyan then leaned against his chest. ”What do you think if I go back there today?”

”Isn’t it too late?” Zhang Xialong [3] carried Jia Yuyan to the bed and pinned her down. ”Qi Lai is on his way to this realm, and he will be furious if he can’t find you here. Furthermore, Wan Jiang, his three disciples, Serpentera, and Tian Kui are in this realm now. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about him, and they will help us deal with him.”

Jia Yuyan nodded slightly. ”What about Xereth?”

”Hahaha.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] softly laughed. ”I have discussed the matter regarding Xereth with them, and we have two possible solutions to handle him. First, we can send him back to the Paradise Realm through the portal in this realm, but he can come back again if we do that. Second, we can lock him up in the Star Tower, and he won’t be able to summon Taotie there. The old man will confine him in a special location, preventing any chance of escape, which means he won’t be able to cause trouble in the Three Mortal Realms anymore.”

”Hmm?” Jia Yuyan pondered the two possibilities for a while. ”I think the second option is more feasible because Wan Jiang can monitor him at all times, and he can stop the demon if he tries to escape from his tower.”

”I think so too.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] then lay down by Jia Yuyan’s side and hugged her. ”We have prepared many things to stop them, so you don’t need to think too hard about them, and I believe we will get through everything well.”

”I hope you’re right.” Jia Yuyan let out a soft sigh and embraced his neck. ”Can you take me to your real body?”

”Are you really ready?”

”Yes.” Jia Yuyan firmly nodded. ”After everything settles here, I’ll return to the Paradise Realm, and we won’t see each other for quite a long time. Furthermore, I have chosen you as my husband, so I want to meet your real body.”

”All right.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] directly lifted Jia Yuyan to her feet. ”Before that, release your soul first, and I will merge our souls together. This way, I can sense if you are in danger when you are in the Paradise Realm, and I can think of a way to save you if that happens.”

As soon as Jia Yuyan released her soul from her body, Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately used his soul manipulation ability. He replicated her soul and merged it with his. He actually wanted to merge her original soul with his, but she would die if he died, and he didn’t want that to happen, especially after his encounter with the mysterious woman.

Once that was done, Zhang Xiaolong [3] sent Jia Yuyan into the training space, and he went to the life pond after that. However, he ran into Qian Shuang, and the two of them went there together.

”Shuang’er, I probably won’t come out of the bottom for some time.”

”I have no other business, and I also want to improve myself in the pond, so I will accompany you to cultivate in it.” Qian Shuang then shyly took off her dress, causing Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s gaze to burn. Once she was naked, she covered her two private parts with her hands. ”Why are you looking at me like that?”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] smiled and pulled her hand down from her chest. ”You are not only pretty, but you also hide such a sexy figure. I can’t wait to eat you, but I don’t want to do it now, and I will do it when you really fall in love with me.”

”Uhm.” Qian Shuang nodded with a blush on her cheeks, but she then helped him to remove his clothes. ”Let’s go in.”

A while later, Zhang Xiaolong [3] and Qian Shuang had arrived at the bottom of the Life Pond, and both of them were cultivating by utilizing the different Qi at the bottom.

”Wow! Such a pretty fairy!” Xin Xianzi exclaimed as soon as Zhang Fei took Jia Yuyan out of the training space, and the others also admired her beauty. ”Are you really from the Paradise Realm, Senior?”

Jia Yuyan nodded at her. ”My home domain is the Floral Mirage Domain, and countless natural races of various races live there. Since you are a fairy like me, you should go there in the future, and you will definitely like the nature there.”

”Hehehe.” Xin Xianzi giggled. ”Senior, I don’t have the ability to go to the Paradise Realm by myself, so I can only rely on Zhang Fei to go there. Moreover, my strength is still too weak to travel there, so I might only be able to go to your domain in hundreds or thousands of years.”

”Why are you so pessimistic? Your cultivation is already excellent, especially since you were born in the middle realms. If you were born in the upper realms, I’m sure your cultivation would have been much higher than this.” Jia Yuyan then pointed to Zhang Fei. ”Furthermore, he already has a big plan for his training space, and all of you will be able to cultivate faster after he implements it there.”

Xin Xianzi nodded in response. ”Zhang Fei has already told us about the Celestial Qi, and we can’t wait to cultivate using it. Unfortunately, we still have to wait until his clone arrives at the Paradise Realm, which is still a few months away.”

”Be patient, okay?” Zhang Fei held Jia Yuyan’s hand. ”Since all of you have successfully created your domains, we should leave this place now, and we will wait for the others to arrive.”

Once they arrived outside, Zhang Fei brought Jia Yuyan back into the training space before taking her to the pavilion.

Zhang Fei then took Jia Yuyan to the Celestial Spring Pool, and the female fairy immediately squatted beside it, dipping her hand into it. ”Why didn’t you bring me here before?”

”This pool is specifically for dual cultivating, so I didn’t bring you here before. Actually, I still have the Yin-Yang Union Bed in my room, but I’ll bring you there later.” Zhang Fei picked up Jia Yuyan, gave her a kiss, and started taking off her dress.

Jia Yuyan immediately returned the kiss and quickly took off his clothes, and both of them were naked a few moments later.

Zhang Fei pulled Jia Yuyan into the pool and shared a few things with her, including the Flawless Yin-Yang Art and the Yin-Yang Splitting Avatar Technique. The second technique surprised the female fairy, especially after she read the description. ”Do you think our cultivation can improve so rapidly just because of dual cultivating with me? All of us have our own avatars, and they never stop cultivating in other rooms. Back then, the time flow in this place was only two times faster than in the outside world, but it has become four times faster now.”

”Yeah.” Jia Yuyan remembered that Zhang Xiaolong [3] had already told her about it. ”Doesn’t that mean they’re just wasting their time in the Star Tower? Wouldn’t it be better if they all stayed here to dual cultivate with you? Moreover, you can bring them to the Paradise Realm easily, especially after your clone arrives there.”

”You’re not wrong about that.” Zhang Fei responded with a nod of approval. ”However, you forget that the Star Tower originated from the Paradise Realm, and there are many precious items inside that do not exist in the three mortal realms. I obtained many extraordinary items from the tower during my first challenge, including my Immortal Grade Yin-Yang Fire Art, which significantly enhanced my fire element. Each of them also managed to obtain an immortal-grade technique in a secret place on the first floor, and I think it was worth their wasted time.”

”You are right, all those precious items and techniques are definitely worth their time.” Jia Yuyan agreed with that. ”There are many Immortal Grade techniques in the Paradise Realm, but not everyone can buy or learn them, especially since the price of one technique can cost half of the wealth of a large clan in the three mortal realms. If Tian Jingxuan wants to buy one, his Tian Clan will immediately fall into poverty. Fortunately, they possess some techniques passed down from their ancestors; otherwise, they would not be as strong as they are now.”

”Hahaha.” Zhang Fei laughed at that. ”That’s why I purposely sent them all to the Star Tower, and we will continue our seclusion once they reach their limit in the tower. All right, you can learn the Yin-Yang Splitting Avatar Technique first, and you can leave it in this pavilion to cultivate.”

Jia Yuyan immediately sat on one side of the pool and started studying the technique, and Zhang Fei sat beside her while reading one of the eight immortal-grade techniques he had obtained in the Sovereign Heaven Realm.

’The Heaven-Severing Sword Technique is indeed excellent, but I already have the Forgotten Sword Technique that I got from Old Han.’ Zhang Fei seriously considered his options before making a decision. ’Having various techniques isn’t bad, right? Therefore, I will still learn this sword technique, and I will teach it to Xianqin, Qingyu, and the others later.’

Zhang Fei then read the details of the sword technique. The Heaven-Severing Sword Technique had only five sub-techniques, unlike the Forgotten Sword Technique, which had ten.

’To walk the Heaven-Severing Path is to tread where Heaven’s will dare not gaze.’ Zhang Fei silently mumbled in his heart while he read each sub-technique.

[Severing Slash: A single, extremely sharp horizontal slash that cuts everything in a straight line; even qi protection shields will be broken instantly. Requirements: King Swordmaster Level, Sword Will.]

[Heaven-Cleaving Slash: It can split the skies and shake the earth. The sword qi manifests like a black void rift, tearing apart anything bound to law or spirit. Requirements: Emperor Swordmaster Level, Sword Condensation.

[Karmic Severance Blade: This technique cuts through all karmic connections, including curses, bindings, and soul contracts. Requirements: Sovereign Swordmaster Level, Sword Heart.]

[Divine Chain Break: Breaks all restrictions cast even by divine beings. When unleashed, nothing can bind the swordmaster. Requirements: Saint Swordmaster Level, Sword Domain.]

[Sever the Heavenly Path: The final move. The cultivator’s sword temporarily becomes the embodiment of defiance, severing even the Dao itself. A single slash can cripple an immortal’s cultivation base, shatter domains, or cause Dao deviation. Requirements: God Swordmaster Level, Sword Dao.]

’Okay! My opinion is wrong! This Heaven-Severing Sword Technique is simply overpowered! I will master this sword technique and the Forgotten Sword Technique!’ Zhang Fei then closed his eyes and began to study the technique with the help of the comprehension feature of the training space.

”Ancestor?” Shangguan Yan was surprised when she returned to her clan and saw that Shangguan Lizhi was already waiting for her. ”Did you decide to come out because of the previous explosion?”

”Not really.” Shangguan Lizhi responded with a shake of her head. ”I spoke to Tian Junfeng earlier, and he had a strange idea that was beyond my comprehension.”

Shangguan Yan immediately sat in front of her. ”What kind of idea?”

”Tian Junfeng wants to see his Tian Clan fall.”
