Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1008: Wei Xiaoya

Qiang Yin nodded in agreement with Zhu Jing. ”Isn’t that one of the reasons we cultivate? Unfortunately, nothing is eternal in this universe, and we will still grow old one day.”

”There is one person who has no interest in beauty or staying young forever.” Qiang Yin and Zhu Jing immediately turned to Huangfu Zhiqian, but they laughed after remembering that person. ”Wei Xiaoya never cared about either of them, and she lived according to her own will without caring about people calling her an ugly and fat princess.”

”Is Wei Xiaoya really that bad?” Zhang Fei [5] curiously asked.

”Hahaha!” Zhu Jing laughed out loud as she banged on the table. ”Hey! You don’t know that the people of the Wei kingdom secretly gave her the nickname ugly hippopotamus, but the news kept spreading from one mouth to another, and everyone in this realm finally found out about it. Emperor Wei was truly furious after he heard that, but Xiaoya stopped him and asked him to ignore those people, as she couldn’t care less about their opinions.”

”Wei Xiaoya is really interesting.” The three princesses looked at Zhang Fei [5] in confusion. ”Why are you all looking at me like this? Do you think I should care about people’s opinions? They are not my family, friends, or acquaintances. I live for myself and the people who care about me, so I can’t care about their opinions. They can talk as much as they like about me, but I will kill them if they dare insult my family.”

Zhu Jing just shook her head and pointed to the pill in her hand. ”So, what does your previous question have to do with this pill?”

”This pill is the Youthful Retaining Pill, and you should be able to tell its effects from its name.” Zhu Jing, as fast as lightning snatched the pill from Zhang Fei [5]’s hand; he could have stopped her, but he deliberately did not do so. ”You don’t need to doubt it because many people have swallowed it, including the Alchemy Goddess.”

”What?” The three princesses screamed when they heard the title. ”Do... do you really know the Alchemy Goddess?”

”Is there any point in me lying to you guys?” Zhang Fei [5] touched their foreheads and shared his memories of speaking with Lin Jingxia. ”Not only do I know her, but three of my wives are her disciples, so our relationship is very close. Therefore, you don’t need to doubt the effect of my pill, and it will restore your youth. However, this pill is not free; you must agree to help me manage and protect my shop in order to obtain it, or else you can forget about getting the pill. Moreover, no one can match this pill, including the Alchemy Goddess. If you waste this opportunity, you can only wait for the time for you to grow old.”

Qiang Yin and Huangfu Zhiqian pursed their lips because they also wanted the pill, but Zhang Fei [5] didn’t give it to them. On the other hand, Zhu Jing stared at him with several thoughts in her head, but she immediately threw her crazy idea away. ”Will I really stay young forever after taking this pill?”

”If you still don’t believe me, I’ll show you some of my wives’ images.” Zhang Fei [5] once again touched Zhu Jing’s forehead and shared some images, such as Hu Lili, Hu Yue, and several others.

”Hey! Share with us too.”

Zhang Fei [5] sighed and shared their image with Qiang Yin and Huangfu Zhiqian. Moments later, the three princesses stared at him dumbfounded, and he could see the jealousy in their eyes. ”You three always feel beautiful, right? Unfortunately, all my wives are much prettier than all of you, and they became even more beautiful after swallowing my pills.”

”All right! I agree to manage and protect your shop!” Zhu Jing immediately swallowed the pill, with the two princesses impatiently wanting to see its effects on her. ”Hmm? How long do I have to wait for it to take effect?”

”A few minutes.”

A few minutes later, they smelled an unpleasant odor from Zhu Jing’s body, and black liquid began to come out of her body, but she quickly cleaned it up. She then took out a mirror, but she didn’t see any changes in herself.

Zhang Fei [5] shook his head at her. ”That is a pill to maintain your youth and not a pill to restore your face to youth, so you will not see any changes in yourself. However, you do not need to worry about it, and I dare to guarantee that you will never age. If the effects are not as I said, you can take all the goods in my shop in the future.”

”I see.” Zhu Jing nodded in understanding. ”In that case, you can come here in three days, and I will prepare a building for you during the time.”

Zhang Fei [5] immediately stood up, followed by Qiang Yin and Huangfu Zhiqian. ”Since my business here is finished, I will take them to see Wei Xiaoya.”

”Okay.” After they left the restaurant, a middle-aged woman appeared behind Zhu Jing. ”What do you think of that young man, Aunt Wu?”

”Princess, you have to be careful of that man.” Zhu Jing immediately turned to Aunt Wu. ”He knew I was here even though I had suppressed my aura and presence as much as possible, and I noticed he glanced at me several times with a strange smile.”

”Do you think he’s dangerous?”

Aunt Wu shook her head in response. ”I can’t say for sure, but I can smell the thick smell of blood from his body, which means he has killed many people before.”

”Can you investigate him for me, Aunt Wu?”

”Princess, I advise you not to do that, especially since he’s clearly not an ordinary young man.” Zhu Jing raised her eyebrows, which prompted Aunt Wu to explain the situation to her. ”As soon as they left this restaurant, I immediately lost track of him, and I couldn’t find him. Although I wasn’t very familiar with him, I could tell that he had no bad intentions toward you, and he just wanted to cooperate with you.”

Zhu Jing nodded in understanding and stood up. ”Aunt Wu, please send some people to start arranging the building near my private residence, and I want them to finish it in three days.”

”Yes, Princess.”

After Aunt Wu disappeared, Zhu Jing hurriedly left the restaurant with many questions about Zhang Fei [5] on her mind. ’I guess I’ll have to talk to him again in three days.’

”So, where are we going now? Are you going to call Wei Xiaoya to meet us?”

Qiang Yin pointed to the Wei Royal Palace. ”Unlike Zhu Jing, Wang Xiaoya has always lived in the palace, so we have to go there to meet her.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei [5] also looked towards the royal palace. ”If Wang Xiaoya always lives there, how will she help me to manage my shop in this kingdom?”

”Haha.” Qiang Yin softly laughed. ”Hey, don’t judge Wang Xiaoya just from Zhu Jing’s previous story, especially since she is an expert in financial matters. In fact, there is no finance minister in this kingdom, and she handles everything herself from behind the palace.”

”Oh?” Zhang Fei [5] was surprised to hear that.

”Just pay attention to the situation in the royal capital; the situation is much better than the other kingdoms, right?” Zhang Fei [5] looked around them before nodding in agreement to Qiang Yin. ”Once Wei Xiaoya took over the financial affairs of this kingdom, she overhauled the entire financial system, and she made it more structured. Under her control, there was no more money wasted, and their budget has always been in surplus for the past few decades. She allocated the surplus budget to develop many sectors in this kingdom, such as agriculture, animal husbandry, and others, which made this kingdom the most prosperous among the others. That’s why I was confused by You Shanyi’s reasons for controlling my father, and he should control her father instead.”

Zhang Fei [5] himself didn’t know You Shanyi’s real reason yet, but he didn’t care much about it either. ”Let’s go, we have to see Wang Xiaoya now.”

Qiang Yin immediately led Zhang Fei [5] and Huangfu Zhiqian toward the Wei Royal Palace, and the two princesses right away showed their identities to the two guards standing at the entrance gate.

One of them immediately informed Wei Xiaoya of their arrival, but she refused to meet them, especially after she learned that Zhang Fei [5] was with the two princesses.

”Haha.” Qiang Yin laughed after the guard conveyed Wei Xiaoya’s refusal. ”She doesn’t like meeting men, and she doesn’t know you yet, so it’s natural that she refuses to meet us.”

”How about just the two of us meeting her? I’m sure she won’t refuse us.” Huangfu Zhiqian asked.

Instead, Qiang Yin posed a question to Zhang Fei [5]. ”What do you think about that?”

”No need.” Zhang Fei [5] then took the two princesses away from the royal palace area to a quiet place. Once they arrived there, he immediately brought them into an invisible state, which shocked them.

In a few moments, they were already inside the Wei Royal Palace, and they saw Wei Xiaoya gracefully enjoying many dishes in the garden in front of her room, leaving Qiang Yin and Huangfu Zhiqian speechless.

’You’re crazy! Why did you bring us to barge in here?’ Qiang Yin asked as she looked around the area, as did Huangfu Zhiqian, who looked scared because of Zhang Fei [5]’s action.

Zhang Fei [5] did not respond to them and focused more on observing Wei Xiaoya’s plump body, but he discovered that she was different from what she looked like from the outside. ’Did she use a special technique to shape her body like that? She’s definitely not fat, but she made herself that fat on purpose.’

Despite her fat body, Wei Xiaoya’s face was delicate and beautiful, with fair skin, gentle eyes, and soft lips. A blue gemstone sits on her forehead, matching her calm and graceful expression. Her long, straight black hair flows neatly down her back. She wore a blue and white robe that fit her body. Her chest was round and full, outlined under the fabric, offset by a distinguished and modest appearance.

’Is he interested in Wei Xiaoya? The way he looks at her is different from the way he looks at us.’ Both Qiang Yin and Huangfu Zhiqian wondered in their hearts.

”Hmm?” Wei Xiaoya immediately stopped eating and glared at them once Zhang Fei [5] canceled his invisibility, revealing their presence to her. ”Guards, there’s—”

”Shh.” Zhang Fei [5] had already moved behind Wei Xiaoya, making her freeze in fear. ”Princess Wei, we have no ill intentions whatsoever, and I brought them here because you refused to meet us.”

”Zhang Fei is right, Xiaoya.” Qiang Yin pulled Huangfu Zhiqian toward them. After they arrived in front of Wei Xiaoya, she immediately continued speaking. ”We’ve known each other for a long time, so you should know that we have no ill intentions toward you. Actually, he wanted to open an alchemy shop in your kingdom, and he had a close relationship with the alchemy goddess, but no outsider could buy property here. Therefore, I brought him here to see you, but you refused to meet us, so he barged in here.”

”Sit.” Zhang Fei [5] and the two princesses immediately sat in front of Wei Xiaoya. ”Show me your pills first.”

Zhang Fei [5] placed several pills in front of Wang Xiaoya, and their grade caused her jaw to drop. ”I am a Venerable Rank alchemist, and I concoct these pills myself.”

”Do you know how valuable a superior grade is in this realm?” Wei Xiaoya took one of the pills. ”Our realm doesn’t have an alchemist with a rank as high as yours, so pills with such a grade are extremely rare here, and one pill can cost millions of jewels.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at her. ”I know about that, especially since this realm is almost the same as several other realms. I have opened my shops in all of those realms, and I want to open some shops here. To maintain balance between all the kingdoms, I will open one shop in each kingdom. I’m ready to open three shops in the Qiang, Zhu, and Huangfu kingdoms, so I hope you are willing to help me to open one in your kingdom.”

”I see.” Wei Xiaoya then asked. ”What is your offer to me? Since you want to cooperate with me, you have to give me a suitable reciprocity, right?”
