Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1018: Zhang Fei’s Cruelty

’How is it, Master? Is that person following us?’ Ju Tan asked Zhang Xiaolong [3], who was flying by his side.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded at him. ’My guess is right; that person is from the Soul-Weaver Spider Race. One of them has been following us from afar just now, and her name is Bian Ling.’

’Are you sure that person is Bian Ling, Master?’

’Do you know anything about her?’

Ju Tan nodded slightly and told him directly. ’Bian Ling is the confidant of the spider queen, Bian Zhizhu. According to circulating rumors, the queen has a split personality, but no one has ever witnessed it firsthand, so I can’t confirm the truth.’

’Split personality, huh?’ Zhang Xiaolong [3] stole a glance at Bian Ling’s hiding location. ’I’ve never met Bian Zhizhu in person, so I can’t say anything about her. However, the bloodlust I felt in the building and her decision to send one of her confidants to stalk us somewhat proved the truth of the rumors, and we will be able to get the answer if we capture Bian Ling.’

Ju Tan agreed with him. ’How are we going to capture Bian Ling? She seems to have a special ability to hide her presence; I can’t track her or pinpoint her location.’

”I want to go to another city, but it’s getting late. Therefore, we should spend the night outside the city, and we will go to the city in front of us tomorrow morning.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately flew in another direction after he found a suitable location, followed by Ju Tan, who continued to wonder about Bian Zhizhu’s intentions.

Before long, the two of them landed on the side of a forest, and Ju Tan immediately rushed to get some wood to make a campfire.

Meanwhile, Zhang Xiaolong [3] thought of a way to capture Bian Ling without alerting Bai Zhizhu. ’Yushu, I want you to do something about that woman.’

’Yes, Master.’ Nalan Yushu disappeared as soon as she left Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s tiny soul world.

A while later, Nalan Yushu had already arrived above Bian Ling, and the female spider’s body appeared transparent. Even so, it was not difficult for her to see her true form, and she immediately entered her body before moving into her soul space.

Bian Ling was shocked by the appearance of Nalan Yushu. ”Who are you? How could you invade my soul space?”

”Hehe.” Nalan Yushu chuckled as she flicked her fingers, and a few soul threads shot toward Bian Ling, binding both hands and feet.

”You bitch!” Bian Ling tried to cut these soul threads, but she was shocked to find that she couldn’t sever them, even though they were within her soul space.

”This place is indeed your soul space, but your soul is too weak in front of me.” Nalan Yushu flicked her fingers again and sealed Bian Lin’s mouth with several other soul threads. She then approached the female spider and lifted her chin. ”I wanted to eat your soul, but my master still needs you, so I will let you live for now. I will take over your body for now, and you must wait in silence, or I will torture your soul.”

Bian Ling struggled to break free, but these soul threads actually tied her tighter. ’This bitch! Who exactly is he? How could he invade my soul space?’

.

.

.

”Hmm?” Ju Tan, who had just returned with a pile of firewood, was surprised by Bian Ling’s sudden arrival. ”Master, she—”

”Tehehe.” Bian Ling giggled. ”I confined her soul in her soul space and took over her body.”

Ju Tan turned to Zhang Xiaolong [3], who immediately explained it to him. ”Her name is Nalan Yuzhu, and she is a demon cultivator soul from the Paradise Realm. I asked her to take care of Bian Ling, so Bian Zhizhu would not be aware of my actions.”

”Oh.” Ju Tan immediately arranged the wood and made a campfire.

”Share her memories with me, Yuzhu.” Bian Ling touched Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s forehead, transferring all her memories into his mind. He immediately accessed all of Bian Ling’s memories, but after discovering something unexpected, he appeared angry and involuntarily radiated a killing intent from his body. ”Bian Zhizhu, huh? I didn’t expect it, and I will kill her.”

Bian Ling and Ju Tan were confused by Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s sudden outburst of anger. ”What actually happened, master? Why are you suddenly like this?”

”She is the murderer of the deceased husband and father of Liu Qingyu and the Chu Sisters.” Ju Tan naturally didn’t know about them because Zhang Xiaolong [3] hadn’t introduced him to them, but Nalan Yushu had been living with him for a long time. ”Back then, when we destroyed the heretics in our realm, we also destroyed the portal that connected it to another realm, and we were trapped inside the space rift. All of us were thrown into other realms, and some of them died there, including Chu Hong. However, I didn’t expect that he would be stranded in this dimensional space, and Bai Zhizhu killed him by absorbing his life essence dry.”

”I see.” Bian Ling nodded in understanding.

”Does Bian Zhizhu really have a split personality, Master?” Ju Tan curiously asked.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded at him. ”Bian Zhizhu does have a split personality; her second personality is called Bian Luosha. Moreover, her second personality is not just a personality, but it has a completely different identity from her, just like mine.”

”Second identity?” Ju Tan and Bian Ling were both shocked.

”Her second identity is the Nether Spider Queen.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] then pointed to the north. ”Unlike Bian Zhizhu, who lives in the Verdant Capital City. Bian Luosha’s main nest is far to the north, hidden from the eyes of the beasts in this place. Bian Ling doesn’t know anything about inside that place, so we have to go there to find out everything.”

”How about I go see Bian Zhizhu now, Master?” Bian Ling asked.

”No need.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] refused. ”Bian Zhizhu has already transformed into Bian Luosha, and she is on her way to her nest now. Here, we will go see her now, and I will make her pay dearly for the sorrow of Qingyu and the Chu Sisters over Chu Hong’s death.”

”Haha.” Bian Ling laughed at that. ”Bian Zhizhu or Bian Luosha definitely wouldn’t have thought that death would come to them today, and they would definitely regret killing Chu Hong.”

Ju Tan didn’t say anything about it, but he could see that Zhang Xiaolong [3] put the interests of all his women above all else, and he would do anything for them.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately enveloped the three of them with his aura, and he took them to the north using the nine cloud steps.

.

.

In a few minutes, they had arrived not far from a cave covered with thick, black spiderwebs at the entrance, and the front of the cave was surrounded by many trees, disguising it from the sight of other beasts. However, Bian Luosha had not arrived there yet, especially since Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s speed was too fast, forcing them to wait for her.

Bian Luosha only arrived there two hours later, but she was unaware of the presence of Zhang Xiaolong [3] and the others, especially since he brought Ju Tan and Bian Ling into an invisible state.

Bian Luosha casually entered her cave, and Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately brought the two of them to follow her inside just before her spiderwebs covered the cave entrance again.

At the end of the cave, they saw numerous black spiders, each with blood-red eyes that varied in number from two to eight. Additionally, they saw many beasts that had turned into humans wrapped in black spiderwebs, hanging down from the cave ceiling, most of which were male beasts.

’Does she intend to absorb their life and beast essences, Master?’ Ju Tan asked with a frown.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded at him. ’Some of this bitch’s abilities are almost similar to mine, and she will use them as a sacrifice to improve herself.’

’Shit! This bitch is truly a madwoman!’ Ju Tan looked at Zhang Xiaolong [3] and asked. ’How about we save them, Master?’

Zhang Xiaolong [3] didn’t care whether those beasts would live or die, but he also couldn’t bear to let them die at Bian Luoshu’s hands. ’All right, we will save them.’

Bia Luoshu immediately took off her dress before returning to her beast form, and her spider form was large enough to fill almost half of the area in the cave. She took one of the beasts from the ceiling and freed it from her spiderwebs, but Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately shot a huge light arrow at her, forcing her to jump to dodge. ”Who’s there? Who dares to intrude into this queen’s nest?”

”A woman like you doesn’t deserve to be a queen.” Bia Luoshu’s eyes widened as Zhang Xiaolong [3] canceled his invisibility, but he was most shocked by the presence of Bian Ling by his side. ”If only you hadn’t sent your subordinate to tail me, I would never have known about your two identities or your evil intentions. Unfortunately, you underestimated me too much, and your subordinate has fallen into my hands now.”

”Tch!” Bian Luoshu immediately shot her black spiderweb at them, but Zhang Xiaolong [3] easily destroyed it using his golden crow flames.

Bian Luoshu then ordered those spiders to attack them, but dozens of fireballs made of golden flames appeared around Zhang Xiaolong [3], and he launched them toward them, which instantly incinerated them.

”No! My babies!” Bian Luoshu screamed hysterically and dashed toward them, but Ju Tan immediately moved in front of Zhang Xiaolong [3] with a huge hammer, and he smashed it at her directly.

However, Bian Luoshu swiftly avoided Ju Tan’s attack, and she quickly trapped him in her black spiderweb. She then tried to attack Zhang Xiaolong [3], but he had already activated the soul link and attacked her first.

”Arghhh!” Bian Luoshu was thrown backwards into a large black spiderweb behind her, which prevented her body from hitting the cave wall. ’Shit! His strength suddenly became equal to or even stronger than mine.’

Before Bian Luoshu could react, Zhang Xiaolong [3] had appeared in front of her with the demon extermination sword in his hand, and he swung it from bottom to top towards her chest.

”Arghh!” Bian Laoshu let out a scream of pain as Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s sword slashed her chest, causing black blood to flow out of the long, deep wound on her chest.

Bian Luoshu quickly moved away from Zhang Xiaolong [3], shielded herself with a thick black spiderweb, and wiped the blood from her mouth. ”Cough... Cough... Why are you attacking me like this? We had no grudges with each other before, and I sent Bian Ling to you just to keep an eye on you.”

”You’re right, we had no grudges before.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] slashed his sword backwards and freed Ju Tan from the spiderweb. He then pointed his sword at Bian Luoshu. ”Do you think I can’t feel your bloodlust and killing intent? I’m very sensitive to both, so I know you want to kill me by absorbing my life and beast essences. Moreover, I got the information I’ve been looking for from Bian Ling’s memories, which makes me even more eager to kill you.”

Bian Luoshu briefly glanced at Bian Ling as she frowned. ”What do you mean by that?”

”Heh!” Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately released his killing intent to the maximum, enveloping Bian Luoshu with it, causing her to tremble in horror. ”About three years ago, a man was stranded in your lair from within the space crack, and you killed him by absorbing his life essence dry before destroying the remains of his corpse.”

”How—”

”The man was my father-in-law, and you killed him.” Bian Luoshu was shocked when Zhang Xiaolong [3] said that, as she never expected to meet one of the families of her victims. ”I promised his wife and three daughters never to make them sad, but you made them languish and cry in sorrow for several days by killing him. I had originally given up on finding his killer because the universe was too vast, but fate had other plans and brought me to you. Since you have made them miserable, I have to pay this debt, and I will make you taste hell on earth.”

”Wait—Arghhh!” Zhang Xiaolong [3] swiftly chopped off both of Bian Luoshu’s arms, causing fresh black blood to spurt from them. He then severed her spider legs, causing her to experience another wave of excruciating pain. ”Arghhhh! Stop!”

”Stop?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] strangled Bian Luoshu’s neck, and his expression was scarier than a demon, making her feel that her death was before her eyes.

”You—Arghh!” Bian Luoshu once again screamed in pain as Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s sword pierced through her chest, but he deliberately avoided her heart, especially since he didn’t want her to die yet. ”Cough... Cough...”

Below, Ju Tan hugged his trembling body as Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s current state was too terrifying even for an experienced cultivator like him. ’Holy fuck! My master is too scary.’

Bian Ling, who was under Nalan Yushu’s control, showed no fear at all toward Zhang Xiaolong [3]. However, her expression appeared completely serious as she contemplated a troubling matter. ’The cursed demon heart and the ten-tailed fox’s evil soul are starting to take a toll on him; I fear that he will truly become pure evil. If that happens, the result of the old fox’s prophecy will be reversed, and he will become a terrifying scourge for all living beings in this universe.’

”Kill me!”

Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s eyes turned bloodshot, and he strangled Bian Luoshu. ”Did you think I would let you die so easily? Do you think this torture is enough to repay their tears and sorrow? Their tears and feelings are precious to me, but you made them cry and suffer for several days.”

”Arghhh!” Bian Luoshu grabbed Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s hand to stop him from twirling his sword, especially since the pain was too painful for her. He slapped her hands away and continued his action, causing blood to continue flowing out of her mouth and chest. ”Cough... Kill... me...”

Ma Kuangyu suddenly came out of Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s tiny soul world and grabbed his shoulder. ”Your cursed demon heart is starting to awaken because of your anger, and it will overcome you if you like this. If you turn into a pure evil, everyone by your side will be sad and miserable, so you must control yourself now.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] turned to Ma Kuangyu, and his eyes became even redder to the point of horrifying a cultivator of his caliber.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately calmed himself down because he did not want to make all the people who cared so much about him sad and miserable, and his eyes slowly returned to normal.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately sealed Bian Luoshu’s cultivation, pulled the demon extermination sword out of her body, and threw her to the ground.

”Cough... Cough...” Bian Luoshu stared at Zhang Xiaolong [3] in horror, but she felt a little lucky that Ma Kuangyu managed to persuade him. ’Shit! If I weren’t so greedy, I would never have suffered this fate today.’

Ma Kuangyu breathed a sigh of relief and spoke to him again. ”If you want to kill her, you can kill her directly. You must not let your anger overcome you like just now; otherwise, your cursed demon heart will truly awaken. Do you understand, kid?”

”Thank you, Old Ma.” Ma Kuangyu simply nodded and returned to Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s tiny soul world immediately.

After he returned the sword to his body, Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately landed beside Bian Luoshu, who was already helpless. However, she suddenly changed, and Bian Zhizhu took over the body. ”Please... don’t kill me... I’m different from Luoshu...”
