The Sword God of the Universe

Chapter 1738: Chapter 1738: The Reward Must Not Be Omitted

”Wait a moment!” Clan Leader Zhao from the Zhao Clan stopped Tu Sen, who was about to leave the Extreme Land Square.

”Clan Leader Zhao, what do you mean?” Tu Sen frowned and asked.

”Haha, there’s still something that needs clarification, so I must trouble Clan Leader Tu to wait a moment.” Zhao Ming glanced around at the other prominent figures.

”We’ve all witnessed Mr. Jing Yan’s abilities in the Alchemy Dao. Mr. Jing Yan wants to leave the Shamanic Clouds Domain, and of course, we cannot compel him to stay. However, since Mr. Jing Yan plans to remain at Maoqiong Ridge for a month to accept commissions for alchemy, these commissions cannot be enjoyed solely by your Tu Clan.” Zhao Ming said in a low voice.

Tu Sen’s expression changed slightly.

”Clan Leader Zhao is right. If Mr. Jing Yan is accepting commissions at Maoqiong Ridge, we should discuss how to allocate these alchemy commissions,” the Shan Clan Tribe’s leader echoed.

”Indeed, we also want to commission Mr. Jing Yan for alchemy.”

”Clan Leader Tu, your Tu Family cannot monopolize this!”

Several prominent figures from the five-star forces spoke up.

Seeing this scene, Tu Sen realized that the hope of having Jing Yan refine elixirs exclusively for the Tu Family was impossible. If it were just the Zhao Clan Tribe, Tu Sen might have been able to push back aggressively. But now, he was facing the majority of the five-star forces in the Shamanic Clouds Domain. Even those tribes that hadn’t spoken yet were eager to move.

There was no way anyone would be willing to miss this opportunity.

Jing Yan’s alchemy ability was incredibly frightening.

Once Jing Yan leaves the Shamanic Clouds Domain, who knows if they’ll be able to find him or where he will be?

”Haha, I understand the intentions of all the fellow Daoists. So, let’s discuss the allocation of this,” Tu Sen could not position himself against all the other five-star forces. He was clear on this, so he straightforwardly shared the resources.

Of course, forces outside the five-star ones and the Loose Cultivators would not have this privilege.

”Let’s split it evenly,” Zhao Ming suggested.

”Clan Leader Zhao, you’re funny, evenly? Haha, everyone knows Mr. Jing Yan decided to stay at Maoqiong Ridge for a month because of my Tu Family.” Tu Sen said loudly.

”Oh? Then according to Clan Leader Tu, how should it be divided?” Zhao Ming asked.

”My Tu Family takes half,” Tu Sen said directly.

”The Tu Family takes half, and the rest of the eight tribes share the other half? Clan Leader Tu, you’re a bit too greedy, aren’t you?” a Supreme Elder from one tribe said, displeased.

”We can understand if the Tu Family takes a bit more, as Mr. Jing Yan indeed has better relations with your Tu Family. But saying you’ll take half is simply too outrageous.” Another person shook his head as he spoke, glancing at Tu Sen’s daughter, Tu Xuan.

”I say, everyone, we need to quickly come to a decision. Wasting time on this allocation is wasting Mr. Jing Yan’s time. Everyone should know how valuable Mr. Jing Yan’s time is, right?” someone reminded.

They didn’t care about wasting Jing Yan’s time, but they did care about wasting their chance at obtaining top-level divine pills.

After some bargaining, the final result that the nine five-star forces agreed upon was that the Tu Family would take a quarter. The remaining three-quarters would be evenly divided among the other eight five-star forces. The Zhao Clan wanted to use their strength to take a bigger share, but as soon as Zhao Ming suggested this, it was vetoed by the other five-star forces combined. Zhao Ming had no choice but to accept this result.

”Alright, the distribution plan is settled. Now everyone can prepare the necessary materials for Mr. Jing Yan to refine. Whatever amount of elixirs is refined will be divided according to this plan,” Tu Sen finally said.

”No problem.”

”Let’s do it this way!”

”Haha, I happen to have brought quite a lot of divine grass.” Someone immediately took out a large amount of divine grass materials.

Since the materials were jointly provided by the nine tribes, this step went very quickly, with almost all tribes immediately producing lots of various divine grasses.

”Fellow Daoists, if you want me to refine elixirs, aren’t you going to ask about my thoughts?” Jing Yan, who had been watching these prominent figures argue, finally spoke up.

”Hmm?”

”This...”

Only then did everyone suddenly realize that they seemed to have overlooked Jing Yan’s opinion.

”Mr. Jing Yan, do you have other thoughts? You said you’d stay at Maoqiong Ridge for another month, and we won’t force you to stay longer. Anyway, you just need to do your best to refine. How we distribute the elixirs you refine is our matter.” Zhao Ming said while looking at Jing Yan.

At this moment, Zhao Ming’s tone was much more polite than at the beginning.

”Alright.”

”However, we need to be clear about the alchemy fee first,” Jing Yan said with a smile.

How the nine forces divide the elixir is indeed none of his business. Jing Yan also wanted the Tu Family to receive more elixirs, but the Tu Family itself had already accepted the allocation of a quarter.

Since it was a joint commission from the nine five-star forces, it was strictly business. The alchemy fee could not be lowered. If it were just helping the Tu Family with alchemy, Jing Yan would be embarrassed to charge too much.

”Hiring Mr. Jing Yan for alchemy naturally requires compensation. Then let’s base the alchemy fee on the rate Mr. Jing Yan set for taking commissions at the stall earlier,” Tu Sen was the first to step forward and speak.

The other prominent figures exchanged silent looks.

Clearly, many would have preferred lower alchemy fees or even waived fees altogether.

”What Clan Leader Tu said is quite appropriate.” Jing Yan nodded.

”Very well, let’s proceed this way!”

”...” The others also had no choice but to agree.

Given the current situation, it was indeed not wise to provoke Jing Yan. If they upset him, Jing Yan might refuse to refine elixirs for their tribes, which would be a significant loss. Paying some compensation to obtain top-level divine pills was already quite favorable. In the past, even with plenty of Wizard Crystals, you couldn’t buy something like the Dancing Crane Elixir, a top-level divine pill.

”Alright, starting now, we will meet here again in one month.” Jing Yan gathered a substantial amount of divine grass materials.

As for the alchemy fee, it would be collected after a month, depending on the number of elixirs refined.

Jing Yan spoke with Tu Xuan briefly before entering the Alchemy Room building, and then those prominent figures also temporarily left the Extreme Land Square, planning to return for the elixirs in a month.

...

Maoqiong Ridge, inside a building.

”Clan Leader Zhao, Jing Yan will leave in a month,” Dongfang Ye from the Dongfang Family sat opposite Zhao Ming.

”Yes, he insists on leaving; there’s no way to forcibly keep him,” Zhao Ming seemed somewhat helpless.

”Clan Leader Zhao, can you guess how many Wizard Crystals and other resources Jing Yan has on him?” Dongfang Ye squinted his eyes.
