The Sword God of the Universe

Chapter 1732: Chapter 1732: Winning the First Entry Slot

The major figures of the nine five-star forces descended onto Extreme Land Square, but none of them spoke immediately.

Everyone hovered in the sky, staring in the same direction, or perhaps at the same location.

Gradually, the many cultivators in Extreme Land Square also ceased their conversations and discussions. The entire square became quiet.

About several hours passed.

”Buzz!”

A powerful force of laws suddenly descended. This force of laws appeared without any warning. Even Jing Yan couldn’t detect the source of this force of laws.

As the force of laws spread, subtle changes began to occur within the space.

The originally normal space suddenly developed a rift. Initially, the rift was very small, but as time passed, it slowly expanded from the width of a hair to the width of a finger, then to the width of an arm, and finally to the width of an adult’s body. Ultimately, this rift expanded to a width of two meters before stopping.

”The Heavenly Gate has opened!” someone said in a low voice.

Jing Yan knew that this rift was referred to as the Heavenly Gate, also known as the Extreme Land Heavenly Gate. To enter the Extreme Land, one only needed to enter this rift.

The moment the Heavenly Gate appeared, the strong figures of the nine five-star forces sealed off the space-time around the Heavenly Gate, preventing anyone from intruding.

Once the Heavenly Gate stabilized, all the cultivators in Extreme Land Square could sense the time and space laws emanating from the Heavenly Gate. These two order laws appeared to be somewhat chaotic here.

”The Extreme Land Heavenly Gate is open! Now, cultivators who wish to enter the Extreme Land for cultivation, please step forward,” a major figure announced.

From the crowd, cultivators soared into the sky, finally hovering above. Continuously, people flew out, and Jing Yan naturally followed the crowd.

The number of cultivators wanting to enter the Extreme Land was quite large.

”There is a limited entry into the Extreme Land, so not every cultivator wishing to enter will be able to cultivate there. You must compete for the spots through bidding. Now, each of you needs to pay one thousand Wizard Crystals to obtain the qualification to bid,” the major figure said, looking at Jing Yan and others.

Jing Yan and the other cultivators wanting to enter the Extreme Land each needed to pay one thousand Wizard Crystals to obtain the qualification to bid. Without paying one thousand Wizard Crystals, there’s no qualification to bid.

That’s right, just to qualify for the bidding required one thousand Wizard Crystals. This was not a deposit!

Needless to say, the nine forces were extremely shameless.

Every time the Extreme Land opened, quite a few cultivators paid one thousand Wizard Crystals to purchase bidding qualification but ultimately failed in the bidding. Even if they failed in the bidding, the one thousand Wizard Crystals were non-refundable.

The rules set by the cooperation of the nine forces cannot be altered by anyone, no one had the ability to change them. Even if dissatisfied with such rules, one had to endure them holding their nose.

The crowd handed over one thousand Wizard Crystals, purchasing a qualification to bid.

The process quickly came to an end.

”Alright! Now, everyone has obtained the qualification. So let’s start the bidding for the first spot to enter the Extreme Land. As per old rules, it’s awarded to the highest bidder. Hehe, let’s see which Daoist can secure this first spot,” said the major figure with a smile.

To maximize profits, the nine forces didn’t set a fixed price for entry spots into the Extreme Land but used this bidding method. However, this was only one reason for requiring a bid. There was a second reason: each time the Extreme Land opened, the number of entry spots varied. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Even the nine forces couldn’t determine the exact number of spots, naturally making pre-sale impossible.

”Three thousand Wizard Crystals!” As soon as the major figure finished speaking, someone hastily announced a price, three thousand Wizard Crystals.

”I offer three thousand five hundred Wizard Crystals!”

”Four thousand Wizard Crystals!”

”Four thousand four hundred Wizard Crystals!” The price kept climbing.

Those capable of offering such a large sum of Wizard Crystals were mostly members of the dominant forces in the Witch Realm. Loose Cultivator Wizards could hardly possess such enormous wealth.

Some weaker Wizards couldn’t even afford a single Wizard Crystal, let alone thousands.

”Four thousand six...”

”Four thousand eight Wizard Crystals!”

Cultivators kept increasing their bids. Very soon, the price for the first Extreme Land spot soared to five thousand Wizard Crystals.

”Ten thousand Wizard Crystals!”

At this moment, a voice announced a new price. Though the voice wasn’t loud, it caused the entire Extreme Land Square to fall still.

”Gasp...” When this price was reported, the entire venue was filled with the sound of sharp intakes of breath.

Too crazy!

From a price of five thousand Wizard Crystals, it was directly taken to ten thousand Wizard Crystals, doubling the price.

All eyes were focused on the person who made the bid. It was none other than Jing Yan.

Over the past century, Jing Yan had earned a significant amount of Wizard Crystals through commissioning alchemy. Jing Yan was not interested in slowly bidding; to avoid unforeseen situations, he preferred to secure the first spot to enter the Extreme Land.

Each time the Extreme Land opened, the number of spots varied. Theoretically, there’s a possibility of only one entry spot existing. Of course, historically no such situation occurred, but nobody can guarantee this time the entry spots won’t be just one.

Jing Yan didn’t want such an accident to happen; waiting for the next opening of the Extreme Land could be a long unknown period. Spending extra Wizard Crystals didn’t concern Jing Yan too much.

”Mr. Jing Yan, are you offering ten thousand Wizard Crystals?” Even a major figure from the five-star forces looked at Jing Yan with a shocked expression and queried to confirm.

”Indeed, I offer ten thousand Wizard Crystals to purchase the first entry spot into the Extreme Land,” Jing Yan nodded and responded.

After confirmation, the major figure nodded towards Jing Yan.

”Mr. Jing Yan offers ten thousand Wizard Crystals; anyone willing to raise the bid?” the major figure turned his gaze to the other cultivators.

Raise the bid?

What a joke! It’s already at ten thousand Wizard Crystals; raising it further isn’t sensible!

Besides, how many here could compete with Alchemist Jing Yan in the number of Wizard Crystals? Just within the past century, Alchemist Jing Yan had amassed an unknown quantity of Wizard Crystals.

”Haha, since no one continues to bid, then this first entry spot goes to Mr. Jing Yan,” the major figure decided, realizing there’s no need to encourage higher bids as ten thousand Wizard Crystals were outrageous.

Jing Yan gladly paid ten thousand Wizard Crystals.

”Mr. Jing Yan, please enter the Heavenly Gate!” Under the major figure’s control, Jing Yan navigated around the spatial seal near the Heavenly Gate and flew towards the Extreme Land Heavenly Gate.
