The Sword God of the Universe

Chapter 812: Chapter 812: Handling

Jing Yan also slightly furrowed his brows as he looked toward Liu Xiaoyue.

If someone truly bullied Liu Xiaoyue within Feihua Academy, Jing Yan would certainly intervene.

”Gao Feng sister, really, it’s nothing. I’m doing quite well now!” Liu Xiaoyue tried hard to show a smile.

However, unbeknownst to her, the more she did so, the more unnatural it appeared.

”Xiao Yue, what exactly is the matter?” Jing Yan’s expression became serious.

Seeing that Jing Yan seemed somewhat angry, Liu Xiaoyue also panicked.

”I...” Liu Xiaoyue, nervous, looked at Jing Yan, stammering without being able to get her words out.

”Xiao Yue, don’t worry, if you’ve encountered any difficulties, just tell us. Even if we can’t help you, we can still take you away from Feihua Academy. In Lanqu County City, there are three academies; Jing Yan and Lanqu County Prince are familiar with them, you can freely take a position at any of the three academies in Lanqu County, it’s not as if you must stay at Feihua Academy.” Gao Feng smiled reassuringly at Liu Xiaoyue.

Listening to what Gao Feng said, Liu Xiaoyue gradually calmed down.

She had indeed faced some hardships recently, and the reason she didn’t want to tell Jing Yan and Gao Feng was because she didn’t want to trouble them.

Liu Xiaoyue knew that Jing Yan had a great reputation in Lanqu County and was acquainted with many important people from Lanqu. However, this was Guangying County, and though Jing Yan was familiar with the Lanqu County Prince, he did not know the Guangying County Prince.

Liu Xiaoyue feared dragging Jing Yan and Gao Feng into her problems.

However, now, if she still insisted on not speaking, that would certainly be unacceptable; Jing Yan had already grown angry.

”In our Feihua Academy’s Outer Court, there’s a student named Xu Qiang. He entered Feihua Academy two years ago.”

”Xu Qiang has a very bad temper and a bit of a cruel and violent personality. Over these two years, Xu Qiang has done many bad things in the Outer Court.”

”He would force other students to spar with him and his attacks were ruthless; several students have been killed by him in a duel even after they surrendered. Moreover, he would pressure female students to be with him, and if a female student refused, he would use many despicable means to coerce them.”

Liu Xiaoyue, when mentioning this Xu Qiang, was clearly filled with anger.

”I am an Outer Court Deacon... I have confronted Xu Qiang repeatedly, asking him to restrain himself, but he just wouldn’t listen. One time, in front of other students, I scolded him, and he was very angry, saying that I was disrespecting him, and he attacked me on the spot.”

”I have stepped into the Dao Spirit Realm, while Xu Qiang is just a Martial Artist of the Innate Realm; he’s no match for me,” Liu Xiaoyue said, clenching her hands.

”Did you kill this Xu Qiang?” Jing Yan asked.

”No, I just injured him; the wounds weren’t serious. Half a month has passed since then, and he has fully recovered,” Liu Xiaoyue shook her head.

”This Xu Qiang, is he looking for trouble with you? Does he have a deep background?” Jing Yan’s gaze flashed.

”Xu Qiang is a scion of the Xu Family, which is a major clan in Guangying County. Many people in the academy say that Xu Qiang is the direct grandson of an elder of the Xu Family,” Liu Xiaoyue nodded.

”I understand now!” Jing Yan chuckled lightly, ”No wonder this Xu Qiang has been arrogant and tyrannical for so long within the academy without being arrested and judged by the Law Enforcement Hall. Before you intervened, I suppose the other deacons in the academy also dared not meddle in Xu Qiang’s affairs, right?”

Liu Xiaoyue, hearing Jing Yan’s words, did not respond; her silence was an affirmation that the reality was just as Jing Yan had said. The other deacons indeed didn’t dare to trouble Xu Qiang.

”People like Xu Qiang deserve death; merely injuring him was letting him off too easily,” Jing Yan said with a cold laugh.

”Xu Qiang is indeed detestable, but he is a scion of the Xu Family, and their influence in Guangying County is significant. Some of the upper echelons in our Feihua Academy have deep ties with the Xu Family. I’ve also heard that the Xu Family is quite close to the Guangying County’s Prince,” Liu Xiaoyue shook her head.

Liu Xiaoyue wasn’t the naive girl she had been. Having spent so many years at Feihua Academy, she had come to understand the ways of the world quite well.

All she did was injure Xu Qiang, and his injuries weren’t even severe. Even just for that, she now faced a great deal of trouble. If she had killed Xu Qiang, who knows what the consequences would have been.

Jing Yan chuckled.

”Xiao Yue, what does the Xu Family intend now? What do they want?” Gao Feng turned and asked.

”The Xu Family...”

”Sigh, a few days ago, the academy’s higher-ups had me apologize to Xu Qiang to seek his forgiveness. I met with him and apologized, but he was unwilling to forgive me and said many unpleasant things. The Xu Family wouldn’t let the matter rest either; they demanded I compensate them with a million Spirit Stones. Where would I get so many Spirit Stones? Moreover, they want me to leave Feihua Academy,” Liu Xiaoyue said, her complexion turning slightly pale.

”Hmph, the Xu Family has quite the nerve!” Jing Yan’s expression had turned utterly cold.

”Xiao Yue, you’re facing such big trouble and you didn’t even tell us earlier?” Jing Yan glared at Liu Xiaoyue.

Liu Xiaoyue hung her head low.

”Don’t worry, Xiao Yue, we’ll help you with this matter,” Gao Feng said with a reassuring smile, patting Liu Xiaoyue’s arm.

”Sister Gao Feng, those million Spirit Stones...” Liu Xiaoyue began, then hesitated.

”Spirit Stones? The Xu Family still wants Spirit Stones? They won’t get even one from us! Xiao Yue, where is this Xu Qiang now?” Jing Yan regained his composure and inquired.

”Liu Xiaoyue!”

Just then, a shouting voice came from outside the room.

”It’s Elder Mo Li!” Liu Xiaoyue recognized the shout and informed Jing Yan and Gao Feng.

”An elder from the Inner Academy?” Jing Yan said, expressionless.

”Yes, Elder Mo Li is an Inner Academy Elder of Feihua Academy, a very good person, and a friend of Bai Xue City Lord. When Bai Xue City Lord sent me to Feihua Academy, it was Elder Mo Li who she sought out,” Liu Xiaoyue nodded.

”Oh, he’s a friend of Bai Xue City Lord?” Jing Yan was slightly surprised, ”Let’s meet Elder Mo Li first. Xiao Yue, let him in!”

”Alright!” Liu Xiaoyue answered and then left the room.

Moments later, an elder in a blue robe entered the room with Liu Xiaoyue.

”Elder Mo Li, this is Big Brother Jing Yan, and this is Sister Gao Feng,” Liu Xiaoyue introduced Jing Yan and Gao Feng to Elder Mo Li.

Elder Mo Li’s brows furrowed slightly.

Jing Yan and Gao Feng were both seated. When he entered, neither of them stood up.

The demeanor of Jing Yan and Gao Feng made Elder Mo Li somewhat uncomfortable, but the displeasure in his eyes disappeared quickly as he nodded at them.

”Xiao Yue, what do you plan to do? I just came from the Inner Academy; an elder from the Xu Family went to see the Dean again today. Even though I tried my best to speak for you, several elders are siding with the Xu Family, and even the Dean is in a difficult position,” Mo Li said to Liu Xiaoyue.

”Difficult position? Are you telling me that Feihua Academy is actually going to deal with Liu Xiaoyue, an Outer Court Deacon?” Jing Yan cut in directly.
