The Sword God of the Universe

Chapter 703: Chapter 703: Establishing a Dojo

Originally, Jing Yan had to lie to Hu Donghe in Pill Spirit City, as Jing Yan didn’t fully understand Hu Donghe’s character at that time.

Claiming to have a master was like adding a layer of protection for himself.

Now, Jing Yan no longer needed to hide anything from Hu Donghe, but explaining this nonexistent master was troublesome.

Telling Hu Donghe that his master had left this world wasn’t a lie since Jing Yan had accepted the legacy of the master of the Death Temple and could be considered, at least, a half-disciple of the Death Temple’s master.

”Left this world?” Hu Donghe stared at Jing Yan, somewhat astonished.

”Brother, not to hide from you, my master is likely from the Divine Race, and possesses unparalleled strength...” Jing Yan added with a bitter smile.

”I see, no wonder he managed to train such an exceptional disciple. Let’s not dwell on this matter anymore,” Hu Donghe inhaled sharply, not lingering on the issue of Jing Yan’s master, and changed the subject, ”Jing Yan, your Alchemy Dao skills are surely unmatched throughout the Heavenly Origin Continent. So I think, why not establish a Daoist academy, an Alchemy Dao academy? After its establishment, hold an Alchemy Conference every few years to attract the continent’s finest Pill Masters to discuss Alchemy Dao, and listen to your explanations on Alchemy Dao.”

”This way, you can build your reputation first, letting the entire continent know about you, Jing Yan.”

”Then, you could spread the news that, during the Alchemy Conference, you might conditionally help some Loose Cultivators in the Daoist Emperor Realm to refine various Ninth-level Elixirs,” Hu Donghe cunningly said.

Hearing this, Jing Yan’s eyes lit up.

”Brother, I think I understand your plan. The first step, establish my reputation. The second step, attract powerful Loose Cultivators.” Jing Yan grasped the idea instantly.

This method could indeed quickly strengthen his influence.

”Exactly! Our Heavenly Origin Continent is vast and boundless, with no shortage of strong Martial Artists. Just the Daoist Emperor Realm Loose Cultivators that I know of alone amount to a considerable number. Many of them are not affiliated with any forces. If you could recruit one-fifth to one-tenth of them, that would be incredibly impactful,” Hu Donghe slightly squinted.

”Not only can you attract Daoist Emperor Realm Loose Cultivators, but you can also recruit some Alchemy Dao prodigies. Those young talents who lack family backgrounds and powers, you can take them as disciples. How exactly to proceed needs to be planned step by step,” Hu Donghe continued.

Why does Hu Donghe hold such a lofty status on the continent?

His identity as a Great Alchemist King was only part of it. True, he was a Great Alchemist King, but how many Elixirs could he refine alone?

It took Hu Donghe at least several months to refine a batch of Ninth-level Elixirs. Managing two or three batches a year was already impressive, and how many Martial Artists could afford Hu Donghe’s services for Alchemy?

The second reason was, Hu Donghe had a lot of disciples, among them quite a few outstanding Pill Masters. This was the real capital of Hu Donghe.

”Brother, I still need your help! Although I have some fame now, my influence might not be enough. It would be difficult to promote the Daoist academy by myself,” Jing Yan said with a smiling eye.

”You little guy!” Hu Donghe pointed at Jing Yan, ”There’s no need to mention it, I will definitely promote it with all my strength. Besides, you can ask the Seventh Hall Master and the Eighth Hall Master for help in promoting it. The influence of the Holy Hall’s masters is tremendous. The more powerful figures acknowledge you, the more people on the continent will pay attention to you.”

”Hmm, I’ll talk to the Seventh Hall Master and the Eighth Hall Master later to see if they are willing to help,” Jing Yan nodded.

The next day, Chang Huan brought the Hall Master Token to see Jing Yan and handed him the token personally.

The Hall Master Token didn’t possess any special powers and looked like a piece of ordinary wood.

However, with this token, Jing Yan could boldly build his own forces. Without this token, Jing Yan wouldn’t be able to develop his forces on a large scale.

”Grand Steward, I need to ask for your help,” Jing Yan said with a smile after taking the Hall Master Token.

”Hall Master Jing Yan, why be so formal? We know each other well. Just say what you need,” Chang Huan replied cheerfully.

”Well, I want to use my name to set up a Daoist academy in the Holy City. To start the academy, I need a venue, so I’m thinking about purchasing a plot of land within the Holy City,” Jing Yan said.

Chang Huan pondered for a moment.

The Holy City is vast, but what kind of place is it? It’s the holy land of the Continent!

Here, every inch of land is incredibly valuable. To purchase a plot in the Holy City is certainly not easy and would require a great cost.

If it had been a normal person making such a request, Chang Huan would probably have expressed his inability to help. But since Jing Yan was the one asking, Chang Huan would undoubtedly do his utmost to manage it.

”Hall_master Jing Yan, I can’t guarantee one hundred percent right now, but I’ll inquire about it immediately. Rest assured, I’ll do my best to negotiate this matter for you,” Chang Huan said thoughtfully.

”Thank you, Grand Steward. The Spirit Stones needed to purchase the land won’t be a problem. The location of the land can be fairly random, but it needs to be sizable,” Jing Yan added.

Setting up a Daoist academy certainly required a large space. Otherwise, it would be a joke for people to come and discuss Alchemy without enough room.

”Understood. Let me inquire about it right away,” Chang Huan stood up.

Jing Yan personally escorted Chang Huan out of his Hall Master Mansion.

Over the next month, Jing Yan gradually made contact with various Hall Masters.

These Hall Masters all wanted Jing Yan’s help with Alchemy, and according to his earlier promise, he agreed to help each one refine a batch of Elixir.

As long as the materials were provided, Jing Yan could help them refine any type of Ninth-level Elixir.

Certainly, the compensation couldn’t be neglected.

While meeting with the Hall Masters, Jing Yan also took the opportunity to speak to the Seventh Hall Master, Leng Hongying, and the Eighth Hall Master, Min Huo, about needing their help to promote the soon-to-be-established Daoist academy.

Both Hall Masters agreed directly, without any reluctance, which increased Jing Yan’s fondness for them.

A month later, Chang Huan came to see Jing Yan again, bringing good news.

There was progress with the location for the Daoist academy. Moreover, the plot was in a decent location in the Holy City and initially belonged to a major family in the Holy City. This family hadn’t intended to sell the land, but thanks to Chang Huan’s good relationship with the family’s Clan Leader, and his intercession, the family agreed to sell the plot.
