The Sword God of the Universe

Chapter 599: Chapter 599 Great Prestige

Hearing Su Zixuan’s words, Jing Shanqu’s eyes narrowed slightly.

”It seems that Manager Su Zixuan is opposing my proposal, is that right?” Jing Shanqu stared at Su Zixuan.

”Manager Jing Shanqu is mistaken, I just feel that this matter should not be rushed. Even if we have to replace members of the management, we should do so gradually,” Su Zixuan was at the point where she could retreat no further.

If she were to shrink back again this time, the entire Splendid Pill Tower would be thoroughly controlled by Jing Shanqu. By then, she would be completely sidelined.

It wasn’t that she was reluctant to give up the position as manager of the Splendid Pill Tower, but she had been there since its very establishment. She had feelings for the Pill Tower. Moreover, if the Pill Tower were to be ruined by Jing Shanqu and his cohorts, how could she face Jing Yan and Jing Chenxing in the future?

”Since that is the case, I respect Manager Su Zixuan’s opinion. Well, let us vote!” Jing Shanqu said with a sinister smile.

He was well aware that in a vote during the meeting, Su Zixuan was completely at a disadvantage and stood no chance against him.

”Manager Jing Shanqu, have you really decided to do this?” Su Zixuan sighed in her heart, having anticipated that Jing Shanqu would act this way.

”Hehe! Manager Su Zixuan, I have already said what needs to be said. Actually, I don’t want to vote and make you feel awkward. If you agree with my proposal, there would naturally be no need to vote, which would be good for everyone, wouldn’t it?” Jing Shanqu had a feeling of controlling everything, as he spoke with a light smile.

”Fine!”

”I can agree to your proposal, but I have one condition, just one.”

”I hope that Yue Ying’s position can be preserved. Yue Ying has also been working in the Pill Tower for a long time and has done her job well. Since she has been in charge of the Pill Tower’s finances, there have been no issues.” Su Zixuan looked at Jing Shanqu, ”This is my only request, I hope Manager Jing Shanqu can agree.”

The Yue Ying mentioned by Su Zixuan was precisely the woman in yellow that Jing Yan had seen on the second floor. Her job was to audit the Pill Tower’s finances.

If even this position was controlled by Jing Shanqu, Su Zixuan couldn’t bear to think of the consequences.

Most of the profits of the Pill Tower would likely end up in Jing Shanqu’s and others’ pockets. Su Zixuan’s final request was made out of this concern, which is why she insisted on having Yue Ying continue to be responsible for the financial work of the Pill Tower.

”Manager Su Zixuan, you are too serious!”

”I naturally have great respect for your opinion, as you are one of the managers of the Pill Tower! As long as everyone present agrees, I naturally agree too,” Jing Shanqu said with a smirk.

The meaning of his words was clear.

It would still come to a vote.

In fact, the position responsible for finances was extremely important. Jing Shanqu’s ultimate goal was for profit. If he couldn’t control the finances himself, he would face many constraints on secretly lining his own pockets and claiming the Pill Tower’s interests for himself.

So this financial position must definitely be controlled by his own people. Yue Ying was Su Zixuan’s person and must be replaced. If Su Zixuan wanted another position, Jing Shanqu might have agreed. However, he would definitely not agree to this financial position.

Su Zixuan’s face turned pale, a deep feeling of powerlessness enveloping her heart.

”Perhaps I should leave the Splendid Pill Tower! What’s the point of me staying on?” Su Zixuan thought heavily in her mind, ”I have no other options now, I can only wait for Chief Manager Jing Chenxing to return, then there might be hope to check Jing Shanqu.”

”I never expected that Jing Shanqu would have such great ambition,” Su Zixuan thought somberly.

”Manager Su Zixuan, why are you silent? How about we vote now?” Jing Shanqu had sized up Su Zixuan; he was unbridled, his eyes full of provocation.

At this time, Jing Yan had already been standing outside the meeting room for a while.

The soundproofing of the meeting room was quite good, but what was Jing Yan’s Cultivation level? Jing Yan’s Divine Soul was extremely powerful, and he could clearly hear every word spoken by the people inside the meeting room.

A fury surged in Jing Yan’s heart.

He couldn’t believe that less than a year after Jing Chenxing left Donglin City, the Splendid Pill Tower had undergone such dramatic changes.

When he was in Pill Country, shortly after Jing Chenxing and Jing Qingyan arrived, Jing Yan had inquired about the situation of the Splendid Pill Tower in Donglin City. At that time, Jing Chenxing had mentioned that the Pill Tower was running well and developing quickly, with no issues.

But what about now?

Given Jing Yan’s current status and wealth, the Splendid Pill Tower in Donglin City really wasn’t worth much. Even handing over the Pill Tower to the family was a possibility.

However, Jing Yan couldn’t bear to see the Pill Tower he created with his own hands be destroyed.

If the Pill Tower fell into the hands of a bastard like Jing Shanqu, Jing Yan could already imagine what it would become in the near future.

It would be a total mess, probably completely ruined.

This was why Jing Yan was angry.

”BANG!”

A loud noise! Jing Yan kicked open the door of the meeting room.

”Jing Shanqu, how impressive you are!” Jing Yan’s face was gloomy, a cold shout emanating from his lips.

”Bold!”

”Who is it? How dare you barge into the Splendid Pill Tower’s meeting room!”

The people in the meeting room were startled. They soon reacted and shouted in anger.

Especially the Guard Captain, who instantly drew his weapon, primed with Primordial Energy, ready to strike.

However, their expressions soon turned to disbelief.

”Jin... Jing Yan?” Jing Shanqu’s mouth twitched as he uttered the words.

He, of course, recognized Jing Yan.

Not just him, the Guard Captain also recognized Jing Yan. They were all from the Jing Family, naturally familiar with Jing Yan. Although Jing Yan hadn’t returned for many years, they still recognized him instantly. Jing Yan’s appearance hadn’t changed much, only looking a bit more mature.

”Yes, it’s me! Jing Shanqu, you really are domineering. In the Splendid Pill Tower, no one can oppose you, can they?” Jing Yan looked at Jing Shanqu and coldly huffed.

”Brother Yan?” Seeing Jing Yan, Su Zixuan was filled with joy.

She had been planning to leave the Splendid Pill Tower, but unexpectedly, Jing Yan had returned at this time.

Her grievances, like a dam bursting, surged forth. Tears shimmered in Su Zixuan’s beautiful eyes. The hardships she had persisted through these days were known only to herself. Although she was a manager, she wasn’t a member of the Jing Family. What could she use to oppose Jing Shanqu?

”Zixuan, starting now, you are the Chief Manager of the Splendid Pill Tower. From now on, everything about the Pill Tower is up to you,” Jing Yan smiled and said to Su Zixuan.
