The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 984: Chapter 984: Really Not Going Back to the Bridal Chamber?

Guan Shining swaggered towards the guest room, while Han Jing went to a side washroom for a quick fresh-up. By the time she came out, dinner was already laid out, and Guan Shining was sitting at the dining table looking quite presentable.

Having changed out of his loose groom’s attire and washed the powder from his face, Han Jing realized that Guan Shining was actually a handsome young man with rosy lips and white teeth, his features delicate. He seemed no more than eighteen or nineteen, probably pampered all his life, with an air of arrogance typical of a spoiled second-generation rich kid. His skin was soft and tender, clearly not someone who has endured hardships.

Han Jing couldn’t help but click her tongue in surprise: ”You look quite good clean. Why put on makeup like a ghost just for a wedding?”

Guan Shining gestured for Han Jing to eat and didn’t care much for manners or etiquette, stuffing his mouth while responding to her: ”That’s... um, tradition, the wedding custom of Guan Mountain Island!”

Han Jing...

She lowered her head, eating and half-listening to Guan Shining’s nonsensical chatter. Sometimes she responded, sometimes she ignored him, yet he wasn’t at all impatient, continuing his rambling as if he’d never spoken in his life.

When they were almost finished eating, they suddenly heard an exaggerated voice: ”Young Master, I finally found you—”

The owner of the voice practically lunged to the side of the chair where Guan Shining was sitting, looking up at him with a gaze so amorous it gave one goosebumps: ”Young Master, do you know Little Tao has been looking for you all night, searched the whole Guan Mountain City and finally found you! Boo hoo, Young Master, how could you leave Little Tao behind and run off!”

Han Jing twitched her mouth, thinking, clearly, like master, like servant, right?

Guan Shining grabbed a napkin to wipe his mouth, but Little Tao snatched it immediately, carefully and meticulously wiping Guan Shining’s mouth before asking, ”Young Master, the new young mistress has woken up. She wants to know when you’ll return to the bridal chamber?”

”Pfft” Han Jing couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing.

Little Tao’s gaze finally landed on Han Jing, blinking as he uncertainly asked, ”Young Master, is this, this the new new young mistress?”

Han Jing’s face turned dark. Another new one, and would the next one be called new new new?

Guan Shining slapped the back of Little Tao’s head: ”Use your eyes, this is my sister! Tell everyone in Guan Mountain City that whenever they see my sister, they have to call her Miss. If I find out anyone disrespects her, I’ll send them to the mines tomorrow!”

”Yes, yes, yes,” Little Tao nodded repetitively like a pounding garlic, then quickly greeted Han Jing, ”Hello, Miss!”

Han Jing...

At least Guan Shining was satisfied, gave Little Tao a kick: ”Get going, don’t disturb me while I’m eating!”

Little Tao...

”Young Master, didn’t you just finish eating?” He had just wiped the young master’s mouth.

Guan Shining raised an eyebrow: ”Can’t I eat again if I want to?”

”Of course, of course, Young Master, enjoy your meal.” Little Tao swiftly slipped out but turned back at the door, asking uncertainly: ”Young Master, are you really not going back to the bridal chamber?”
