The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 955: Chapter 955: My... Father

She truly understands Lian Xichen’s feelings, so she feels quite sorry for him. After all, Elder Yun is also Lian Xichen’s master, and rescuing him is not only Su Yu’s responsibility but also his. However, when she first thought about establishing the Prayer Pavilion, she didn’t think about all this.

Now, the Prayer Pavilion has become a new sect and begun recruiting disciples, interacting with other sects and taking shape. Although she hasn’t realized her initial idea of building her own force to confront Lingyou Hall, since it’s done, she cannot shirk responsibility.

Yet now this responsibility is thrown onto Lian Xichen.

Including Su Yu, the not-so-responsible Sect Leader of the Spirit Flame Sect, who frequently takes breaks and rarely does the work of a Sect Leader. If this continues, the Spirit Flame Sect will surely fall into ruin under his leadership.

So if their departure truly lasts ten years or more without returning, without anybody to support and oversee things in the Spirit Flame Sect, the future truly cannot be imagined.

Lian Xichen is Yun Zidu’s closed-door disciple. Although outsiders don’t know this, the elders of the Spirit Flame Sect are all aware, so having Lian Xichen oversee affairs while Su Yu rescues Yun Zidu is the most suitable option, especially since the elders of the Spirit Flame Sect highly acknowledge Lian Xichen’s abilities.

There’s truly no one more suitable than Lian Xichen.

She pitifully looks at Lian Xichen, silently complaining about Su Yu. If it weren’t for Su Yu suddenly wanting to retreat these two days and handed over the arrangements and plan for going to the Delusion Void Array to her, she wouldn’t need to act as this mediator. She really doesn’t know how to comfort Lian Xichen because she truly understands his feelings.

Lian Xichen looks at her, silent.

How could he not understand that both the Prayer Pavilion and Spirit Flame Sect need someone who can oversee things? But after returning to the Spirit Cultivation Realm and learning about what happened here, as a disciple and adoptive son, how can he willingly stand by and not personally contribute?

He truly feels uneasy; his master’s teachings and his adoptive father’s nurturing in past years are all why he returned to the Spirit Cultivation Realm, yet now, he’s truly in a dilemma.

”Brother, I promise you, if Fengxi... my... dad, if my dad’s soul can truly be retrieved, I will do everything to give him a chance of rebirth. Look, Lianwu and Shi Qi, both are powerful in Spirit Control Technique, especially Lianwu; he’s the Ghost King. If my... dad’s soul is truly intact, he might have a way.” She bites her lip, really reluctant to admit she has such a somewhat foolish dad like Fengxi, but to persuade Lian Xichen, she has to bite the bullet and acknowledge this dad first.

Lian Xichen’s eyes indeed brighten.

This is truly his heart knot; he never considered that his adoptive father could still have a daughter living in this world, but Jing’er’s attitude towards his adoptive father, it’s something he can accept yet feels regretful and sympathetic, because in his heart, his adoptive father would truly be a great father if he were alive...

Now she finally is willing to acknowledge this father.
