The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 878: Chapter 878: I Don’t Really Remember

However, when he opened his mouth, Han Jing couldn’t help but blink and glance at Su Yu.

If... only the Three Divine Clans were left in the end, and then the Ning Clan was wiped out and the Feng Clan declined, could it be... the Xia Clan did it? This doesn’t make sense. If this was all done by the Xia Clan, then why did the Xia Clan choose to hide?

The things Han Jing could think of, Su Yu could naturally think of as well, but... Su Yu’s expression turned solemn.

Perhaps there were many things they didn’t know, far more complex than they imagined.

And now, they seemed to have unconsciously stepped into this vortex.

Han Jing thought that given Xia Qingcheng’s tricky nature, it was highly likely there were things he should have known but didn’t, so... Su Yu, who had been tricked by him, naturally didn’t know either.

Of course, now wasn’t the time to discuss with Su Yu what exactly Xia Qingcheng, that deceitful father, was hiding from them. Better to listen to what Ning Shiqi had to say.

After a moment’s pause, Ning Shiqi continued, ”About five thousand years ago, on the Spirit Flame Continent, another extremely serious catastrophe occurred. It was after this catastrophe that the Xia Clan went into hiding, the Feng Clan declined, and the Ning Clan was completely erased from the history of the Spirit Flame Continent. Since then, no one has known that the Ning Clan once existed.”

Han Jing couldn’t help but widen his eyes: ”Five thousand years? Then, how did you survive? Since you’re a descendant of the Ning Clan, how long have you lived?”

Five thousand years, just thinking about it, Han Jing couldn’t fathom what kind of concept that was, it was simply too terrifying.

”I... don’t quite remember.” Ning Shiqi looked at Han Jing, his expression somewhat ethereal. He genuinely didn’t remember how long he had lived.

Han Jing was at a loss: ”Don’t quite remember? Could it be you’ve truly lived for thousands of years?”

”It should be,” He had indeed lived for thousands of years, but he had always been sealed away. When he awoke, a long time had already passed.

Luckily, he managed to escape a calamity.

”I was ranked seventeenth in the family, and because... I was born with a disability, I was always despised by my family. Once, an older cousin committed a grave mistake and framed me for it. I was powerless to clear my name, and thus, I was punished by the clan and imprisoned in the undersea dungeons of the East Sea. Before the Ning Clan’s incident, a cousin came to see me, saying he sensed something was amiss, that the Ning Clan might face a catastrophe, and if that were true, he hoped I could survive. Then... he sealed me in the undersea dungeon of the East Sea, forcing me into a deep slumber. Only when one day the seal was broken did I see the last trace of divine consciousness left for me by the cousin who sealed me, and I learned what had happened.”

”The Ning Clan suffered divine punishment, the entire clan was exterminated, and no one survived, only I was fortunate enough to escape the calamity. However, by the time I awoke, three thousand years had already passed since that catastrophe. By that time, the Ning Clan had completely disappeared from this reality, vanished without a trace, as if it had never existed.”

”From then on, I hid here, and by now, it has been probably over two thousand years, I don’t quite remember.”
