The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 875: Chapter 875: What Happened to Youyou

In these years, before Lianwu appeared, Xiao Xue and Youyou were almost inseparable. Since Xiao Xue could talk and run, she was very restless, always thinking about going out to play. Han Jing was worried she’d get into trouble, so she had Youyou stay with her all the time.

So, the bond between Xiao Xue and Youyou became the deepest. When Xiao Xue was young, she had no friends or peers to play with. Youyou was her first friend.

At this moment, hearing Youyou’s painful howls, Xiao Xue immediately burst into tears.

Han Jing’s face changed as well and she asked Ning Shiqi, ”Shi Qi, what’s happened to Youyou?”

Ning Shiqi paused slightly, turned to glance at Han Jing. She asked what happened to Youyou, not what he did to Youyou?

Ning Shiqi turned back and continued pushing the wheelchair into the cave. Just then, an old servant came out from inside, looking somewhat hunched. He paused, then raised his cloudy eyes to glance at Han Jing and them, stepped forward to salute Ning Shiqi, and asked, ”Young master, who are these people?”

Ning Shiqi replied warmly, ”Uncle Ying, these are friends who came looking for them. How’s the situation today?”

Uncle Ying shook his head, ”The same as always.”

He then stepped forward to help Ning Shiqi push the wheelchair, ”Young master, would you like to take a look?”

Ning Shiqi nodded, and said to Han Jing and them, ”Come in.”

Han Jing couldn’t wait any longer, quickly followed along.

The cave was large, but very dark and damp. The dripping water echoed off the rocks, chilling everyone’s hearts.

Walking further in, when the light had dimmed to the point that almost nothing could be seen, they finally saw a large iron cage in a dark corner. Chained inside was Youyou.

Ning Shiqi lit a fire starter, and everyone could finally see the scene in the cage clearly.

”Youyou!” Xiao Xue instinctively called out, her eyes somewhat unbelieving of what she saw.

Even Han Jing couldn’t believe it.

Since Youyou came to her side, although Youyou didn’t live in luxury, he at least had a decent life. Youyou, the Wolf King, had a pride and dignity inherent in his nature. But now, the once majestic Youyou, at this moment, looked like a stray dog, chained in a cage.

It howled and struggled, its beautiful and thick silver fur already patchy, with scars all over its body, some looking like whip marks, some with scabs, others still oozing blood.

Its once beautiful pupils were now a blood-red color, lacking any clarity. Even when Xiao Xue just called it, Youyou had no reaction, only desperately clawing at the ground. Under the light, Han Jing could see countless claw marks on the stone floor of the cage. Youyou’s originally sharp and shiny claws were all scraped away. Looking at its pitiful appearance, Han Jing couldn’t bear to watch any longer.

”Youyou, Youyou?” Han Jing took a step forward, trying to call Youyou’s name to see if it could regain some sanity. Even though she already knew things were more serious than she imagined, there was still a glimmer of hope. She simply couldn’t fathom how her Youyou could have ended up like this, what it must have gone through to become this way, in just two short months!
