The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 757: Chapter 757: Han Jing’s Secret (2)

”During that time, what happened? Did you meet... me? What kind of space-time were you in? Did you know anyone?” Perhaps because they’d drunk too much, though both were still conscious, their words were a little disjointed.

Han Jing burst out laughing: ”How could I have met you? It was a completely new life, though I hadn’t met anyone, there was a familiar face.”

”An Chuxue?” Su Yu responded casually.

Han Jing looked up at him: ”How did you know?”

Su Yu felt slightly awkward: ”She appeared mysteriously, was trusted by you wholeheartedly, and knew things ordinary people wouldn’t, so... initially, I had someone investigate her, of course, it was just to confirm her background.”

Han Jing pinched his waist: ”Just how many things have you done behind my back without me knowing?”

Su Yu wrapped his arms around her, preventing her from acting, and murmured: ”There’s really nothing more. At the time, it was merely a concern, but I trusted you, so I didn’t delve deeper.”

He indeed had suspicions about An Chuxue’s identity, but he trusted Han Jing to be sensible, so he only harbored doubts.

Han Jing glared at him before she began as if recalling: ”Actually, it’s been so long, many things have become blurry. In my previous life... I, I was born into a fairly decent family, but because I was born with a superpower, people found out and wanted to capture me and turn me into a weapon. You reminded me of this, you should understand what that means. And back then, I was probably only five years old. Though my family status was good, in the era I lived, ordinary people didn’t value martial force. In hindsight, they were just like the ordinary folks of today, everyone preferred a simple, normal life. So, to evade those hidden in the shadows was completely impossible. My grandfather tried every means to send me away, yet my family perished in a sea of flames. In an instant, I had lost everything.”

Su Yu remained silent, listening quietly as she spoke.

”Then I hid everywhere, but I was just a child, understanding nothing and knowing nothing, wandered for a year before another assassin organization discovered me. Thus, in the end, I became an assassin. From around the age of six, I was taken to be trained, and started taking on tasks in my teens. I found a way to eradicate those who had initially caused the destruction of my family, avenging them, but my life couldn’t start over again. I was destined to be nothing more than a killing tool. In the many years that followed, I lived a life of taking on tasks, although on the surface I had another identity, in our time, we called it being a star, an actor, re-enacting history or stories for many to see, similar to... a kind of opera outside? It was just that back then, technology was far more advanced compared to this era, so many people were able to watch their favorite actors through screens and such. This is really hard to explain, it’s just being seen and known by many people.”

”I lived like this for over a decade, then I planned to switch organizations, but I was discovered and in my last mission, led into the desert where I perished amidst an array set by masters of Ancient Martial Arts.”
