The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 728: Chapter 728: Sleeping While Holding a Ghost

Su Yu twitched his mouth, was he shooting himself in the foot here?

Did their family just sell off their daughter?

Looks like he’ll have to keep a closer eye on Lianwu in the future.

Han Jing kicked Su Yu with her foot: ”I’m hungry, it’s already noon, why haven’t you gone to cook?”

Su Yu...

Then he resigned himself to his fate and stood up. Well, as long as she’s not angry, he’d willingly cook for a lifetime.

When the aroma of food wafted in, Xiao Xue and Lianwu slipped back in right on time to swipe some food.

Xiao Xue sat next to Han Jing, and while Su Yu was still in the kitchen, she looked outside and then turned her head seriously towards Han Jing: ”Mother, I’m sorry, Xiao Xue was wrong. I will knock on the door in the future.”

Han Jing blinked, looking slightly confused at Xiao Xue. Tsk tsk, why is she suddenly so well-behaved, to the point it made her feel uneasy?

Before she could react to how Xiao Xue suddenly became sensible, Xiao Xue shook her head like a little adult: ”Last night, grandmother insisted that I sleep with her, but as soon as I went in, I saw grandfather giving me a signal. Brother Lianwu then pulled me out and told me I can only sleep with him from now on. Grandmother has grandfather, so I shouldn’t disturb them.”

”And then,” Xiao Xue paused, looking up at Han Jing: ”Just now when I went to find you, I got yelled at. Brother Lianwu said, now that Mother has Father, I can’t sleep with you anymore either, and I can’t just barge into your room without knocking. Kids can’t see grown-ups’ things.”

Xiao Xue turned to Lianwu: ”So I’ll sleep with Brother Lianwu from now on.”

”Good!” Lianwu nodded, a promising kid.

”No way!” Su Yu came in carrying a plate, his face utterly dark.

What do you mean you’ll sleep with Brother Lianwu from now on? He got her a pet and a bodyguard, not a husband!

Have these people misunderstood something?

Su Yu set the plate down and solemnly said to Xiao Xue: ”Xiao Xue, you can’t sleep with him, boys and girls are different. You’re grown up now, you can sleep by yourself.”

What a joke, his daughter being taken away at five years old? And by an old... ghost who’s been cultivating for thousands of years?

Su Yu absolutely disagrees!

He agreed to let Xiao Xue save Lianwu because he seemed rational and not malicious, not to give his daughter away!

Xiao Xue bit her lip: ”Grandmother says I’m still young!”

Su Yu... Even if she’s young, she can’t be cuddling with a ghost!

Su Yu looked at Han Jing, the message clear, asking her to reason with Xiao Xue. They had just reunited as father and daughter, he couldn’t risk educating Xiao Xue himself, fearing his way might not be acceptable to her.

Han Jing received Su Yu’s gaze, but...

But now, Xiao Xue is only a child, and Lianwu is a ghost. Besides, Xiao Xue is only five years old, nothing could possibly happen!

If it’s just about building a bond... isn’t that nice too? Childhood sweethearts, how lovely!

Though the childhood sweetheart is a bit old, a bond formed from a young age is more solid, right? Look how well Brother Qiao treats her, it’s just that she met Su Yu first.

Han Jing silently grumbled in her heart that Su Yu as a father was overthinking. She thought it was perfectly fine. Besides, there’s someone to help watch over Xiao Xue, preventing her from getting into trouble, and it’s not easy for ordinary people to keep an eye on Xiao Xue. What’s there not to like?
