The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 740: Chapter 740: When the Music Ends, We Part Ways Forever

Han Siqu grinned: ”But I really have to thank her, now I can start a new family genealogy, oh, from now on I’ll be the clan leader and ancestor, how wonderful!”

Han Si Que was so infuriated by Han Siqu’s outrageous words that his liver hurt, he really didn’t know what to say to him.

Seeing that Han Si Que was nearly driven to anger, Han Siqu waved his hand: ”Alright, alright, don’t ask me to go back. If I accidentally anger the old lady into something bad, I guess you’ll end up fighting me to the death. Just assume I have no motherly bond with her. She has you, a good son, to take care of her in her old age, that’s enough. She also said long ago that as long as I agree to marry Yao Zhen, it would repay her for raising me. How can I disappoint her?”

”I need to go pack my things, we’ll never meet... again.” Han Siqu waved his hand and turned to leave.

It’s not that he truly lacked conscience, it’s just that he really didn’t agree with his mother’s methods.

Back then, Big Brother must have told Mother about Yao Zhen, so Mother adamantly refused to let them marry. First, she threatened Big Brother, saying if he dared to marry Yao Zhen, she would kill herself in front of the ancestral tablets. Thus, the already wavering Big Brother listened to Mother and got engaged to Mrs. Qin. Angered, Yao Zhen asked the Emperor to grant a marriage to spite Big Brother and Mother, but at that time, although a marriage was verbally mentioned, it was never formally decreed.

It was not entirely without a chance for reconsideration.

But his mother believed this was the best solution to all problems. As long as Su Yaogeng married him, there would be no possibility for her to be together with Big Brother again, after all, a sister-in-law and elder brother-in-law being together, spreading such a rumor was too indecent. No matter if either of them became a widow in the future, there would be no chance of them being together again.

So, believing this was the best outcome, their great mother begged him, saying that if only he agreed to marry Yao Zhen, it would repay her for raising him, and from then on if he resented her, he could never return to the Han Family, and it wouldn’t matter.

Afterward, Han Siqu, upon learning the truth, reflected that Mother probably thought, once he married and discovered Yao Zhen’s physical condition, he would surely return to confront her. That’s why she said those words in advance, truly playing a strategic move, she had prepared to push him out all along!

What irony! So, he and Yao Zhen were thus bound together by them.

However, he really thanks her because long after, he realized that loving someone and ultimately being able to be with the person you love is the happiest thing in one’s life.

He is grateful for this mishap and coincidence, if there is any regret, it is only that he learned this truth too late and couldn’t love her earlier.

Looking at Han Siqu’s back, Han Si Que finally just said: ”Take care of her, and take care of yourself.”

”My wife, of course, will be well cared for, don’t worry.” Han Siqu had no time to continue chatting with him, he’d rather use this time to coax his wife!

When Han Siqu entered, he happened to find Su Yaogeng coming out, he leaned forward and said something, Su Yaogeng glared at him but had a smile at the corner of her lips, presenting a coquettish attitude akin to a young girl.

She was naturally beautiful, looking only in her twenties or thirties despite being in her forties, and standing next to Han Siqu, they happened to make a rare perfect match.

Han Si Que stood outside the courtyard, gazing at them from afar, feeling somewhat lost.
