The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 451: Chapter 451: You Should Leave!

Han Yan walked into Su Xingyan’s courtyard and saw him sitting alone in the living room. She stood outside watching, hesitating whether to go in.

But then Su Xingyan suddenly looked up at her.

Han Yan was startled, nervous and scared, but in the end, she carefully walked over and softly said, ”Prince~”

Su Xingyan’s gaze fell elsewhere, somewhat hollow. After a long while, he finally spoke, ”You may leave!”

Han Yan was taken aback for a moment, quickly knelt down. She wanted to cry and express her feelings for him, but for some reason, at this moment, she suddenly couldn’t cry.

She didn’t know if she was too scared, or if deep down she genuinely wanted to leave.

Su Xingyan’s voice carried a touch of hoarseness amid his calmness, as if he was lamenting or mocking himself, ”Everyone in the residence is preparing to leave; you should leave too! I once promised to make you my concubine, but I am about to leave the Capital City and go to my fief. The wealth and prosperity you desire, I fear I can no longer give you. I have already hurt too many people. You have been with me for so long; I don’t want to hurt anyone anymore. Go back, you still have family in the Capital, find a good family to marry into. In this life, consider it my owing to you.”

Su Xingyan was not foolish. He knew what Han Yan wanted was wealth and prosperity. In the past, when he didn’t know what it meant to like someone, he couldn’t understand it, but it wasn’t until he fell for Han Jing that he learned that when you truly like someone, the way you look at them is different from how you look at others.

So he knew that the former Han Jing liked him, Han Yuxiao liked him too, but not Qian’er, who claimed she wanted to stay with him, nor Han Yan.

Suddenly, he felt very tired; he didn’t want to hurt anyone anymore.

The wealth and prosperity that Han Yan desired, he could no longer give. A prince of Nanyao Country leaving the Capital City to return to his fief was as good as being abandoned. From then on, he had to rely on fate. He himself didn’t know what his future held, so how could he fulfill her? He owed too many people in this lifetime, one more wouldn’t matter.

Su Xingyan waved his hand: ”Go, just go!”

Inside, Han Yan was conflicted. She did want to leave because she was worried that following Su Xingyan spelled an uncertain life and death, but at the same time, she hesitated. After leaving Su Xingyan, who else would take her in? As a weak woman, where could she make a living?

For a fleeting moment, she had the impulse to leave with Su Xingyan, but thinking about the fate of Han Yuxiao and Qian’er, she became timid. No, she couldn’t leave the Capital. Since Su Xingyan was letting her go now, she must not act rashly!

Han Yan gritted her teeth, stood up, and saluted Su Xingyan: ”Take care, Prince!”

Then she got up and ran away without looking back, fearing Su Xingyan might change his mind.

Su Xingyan watched her hurried back, suddenly laughed quietly, a laugh full of desolation.

——

Far in the north, Beihan Palace.

In a marble palace seemingly set within a world of ice and snow, a cool young girl dressed in a white loose-sleeved flowing fairy dress slightly tilted her head, leaning against the window, frowning beautifully, appearing to be thinking about something, waiting for someone.

Until a maid in blue hurriedly arrived, bowed, and gently called: ”Miss, the person has returned!”

The cool young girl suddenly turned her head, her expression unchanged, but her bright black eyes immediately lit up.
