Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 483: Chapter 483 I Am the Most Suitable Person for You

The situation didn’t unfold as Chiang Qing had expected; Qi Taiguo didn’t become wildly ecstatic upon hearing her confession, but instead, he was completely shocked, as if struck by lightning.

”Doctor Chiang, do you realize what you’re saying? Or is there a problem with your memory?” He stared at Chiang Qing with a face full of astonishment, ”I have told you more than once that I am a married man. How could you...”

Last time with the watch, it was like this; he had also said that he was married, that he had a wife. And now she’s outright declaring her feelings for him?

This is a madwoman for sure!

Chiang Qing said loudly, ”Then let me tell you, what does it matter if you’re married? I have the right to love.”

”You’re crazy!” Qi Taiguo looked at her as if she were a madwoman.

”Qi Taiguo, everything Cheng Su can give you, I can give you, and what she can’t, I can also provide!” Chiang Qing looked at him with a face full of pride.

”My father is the commander of the Yanjing Military Region, my mother is the director of the Cultural Work Troupe, and my maternal grandfather’s family is in business. If you marry me, whether you want to continue being a soldier or aim for promotion, it will just be a matter of a word. If you want to go into business, my maternal grandfather has plenty of connections. And I, as a military doctor, am a perfect match for you. Compared to Cheng Su, I certainly won’t hold you back!”

Speaking of her family background, the air of superiority she exuded deeply stabbed Qi Taiguo’s eyes.

To outsiders, and even in Qi Taiguo’s view, what Chiang Qing possessed indeed gave her reason to be proud. A background like hers meant that she was always a notch above.

But she shouldn’t have directed this haughty attitude toward Qi Taiguo.

”Divorce her and be with me, I guarantee you’ll rise to the rank of battalion commander next year.” Chiang Qing didn’t care about the changes in Qi Taiguo’s expression and continued, ”Qing City doesn’t have much development; we could completely use our connections to transfer to Yanjing. Wouldn’t that be better than stubbornly clinging to your current position?”

In Chiang Qing’s eyes, it was a win-win situation no matter how you looked at it.

Only she deserved him!

Not that Cheng Su, who only knew how to do business and had no real foundation.

A man who wanted to climb higher in his career should have a strong family behind his wife, and she was the one most suitable for him!

”Are you done talking?” Qi Taiguo looked at her with cold eyes.

Chiang Qing glared with wide eyes.

”If you’re done, then get out immediately. The door is right behind you!” Qi Taiguo suppressed his anger as he pointed at the door to dismiss her.

”Qi Taiguo, you...” Chiang Qing couldn’t believe it, and through gritted teeth said, ”I’ve already humbled myself before you. Qi Taiguo, don’t fail to appreciate what’s good for you!”

Chiang Qing grew up being cherished and doted on by everyone; this was the first time she expressed her feelings to a man, declaring her love.

”So what if I fail to appreciate it?” Qi Taiguo glared coldly at her, ”Doctor Chiang, I’m just a country kid who worked his way up to today on his own, not relying on anyone. I sit in this position as company commander with a clear conscience. And as for what you said, sorry, I don’t have such luck. I will pretend I never heard what you said today and I ask Doctor Chiang you to have some self-respect. I am a married man, and now, please leave!”

Was he rejecting her?

Chiang Qing was flabbergasted: ”You, you look down on me? In what way do I not measure up to that country bumpkin Cheng Su? I...

”From head to toe, you can’t compare to her in any way,” Qi Taiguo bellowed, ”Get out!”

”Qi Taiguo, you will regret this!” Chiang Qing said resentfully, stomped her foot, and turned to leave.

Qi Taiguo sat down with a headache, staring at the door and pinching the bridge of his nose. This madwoman!
